Unbelievable. Called to schedule moving for Sunday on a Saturday. Knowing it was last minute, we weren't necessarily expecting it to be available. Spoke with someone who said, "oh there was actually a cancellation for tomorrow so we can get you scheduled!" Told us someone would call us to let us know the estimated time. After not hearing from anyone that day and calling mutiple times, turned out the local office was already closed and we were told we would find out about timing the next day (moving day). We got a call early AM and were asked if we were told a time. I said no and that we were waiting on that info. He seemed shocked that it even go booked and said that there were movers doing another job in the morning but we would be put on afterward and we would get a call 11:00AM-2:00PM to give us a more exact time. After repeatedly asking if they would be able to do this and wouldn't cancel last minute, we were reassured that they always get to their jobs. At about 1:00PM, I called to see if there was an estimated time and was told that the other job was estimated to end at 1:30. 2:00PM rolls by and still no call from the movers so I called again and was told that the first customers "added a bedroom" and "added a stop" and that it wouldn't be until at least 5:00PM before they finish. Not sure how they suddenly added a bedroom and how that wasn't known as soon as the movers arrived at the house. I kept trying to call to get updates but the office kept saying they couldn't reach the movers "which is a good thing because it means they are working hard and moving the first house. Or driving. You wouldn't want them to answer calls while they were working on moving your home, right??" I then get a call at about 4:00PM from someone saying "You probably know where this call is going... but I don't work at the local office, I work remotely (AKA it's not MY fault)" and tells me that the job is CANCELLED. They won't finish at the other house until at least 8:00PM and the other driver they've been trying to reach "to be honest hasn't been answering his phone today and we're not sure why." When I said "you've got to be kidding," he responds with "there is no reason to be rude mam, you booked last minute. How would you like to proceed now?" I said, "I'm not the one being rude! I would never have booked last minute if I knew the job couldn't be done but I was told there was a cancellation and that it could be scheduled." I would have proceeded with other options and never have scheduled and relied on this and wouldn't have spent all weekend packing up our entire house, leaving us in a bind with most of our things in boxes or already at the new house and having to work tomorrow. Absolutely unbelievable. Asked for deposit to be refunded, which better actually be refunded. Just sad that companies get away with this. No need to schedule if you can't get it done. And then to try to blame the customer for booking last minute... Again, never would have booked if you said... hey it may or may not be possible because it's an add-on. No, we were told there was a cancellation, so great, let's do it! Such poor management.

Griffen, Antonio, Joseph, and Kenny we're professional competent and hard-working. I have a lot of precious antiques and I wanted furniture moved in and then a run with just the boxes. They accommodated me excellently and the move could not have gone smoother. Kudos to this team and the company they work for.

Absolutely rude movers and so is the office. I live in a community and one of my neighbors hired them to move their stuff. I came out to go to work and the truck had me almost blocked in. The assistant manager asked them to move so I could get out and she was completely rude and refused. I tried backing out of my small carport where I wouldn’t hit their truck since she wouldn’t move and damaged my front driver side with one of the carport poles due to no room to move. She didn’t care and still refused to move until the manager of the property got involved. Their Tucson office men are just as rude and didn’t care what I had to say

We recently used All My Sons (AMS) movers’ services in our move from Tucson to Prescott AZ. When AMS sent its representatives out to meet us, we were impressed with their personalities, professional attire and attitude, and their representations as to their services and their pricing. The reps were shown the apartment contents, the garage contents and the 13x20 storage contents, and we all agreed we would need two days and two trucks to do the move. Some boxes and packing were to be included if necessary (only a couple were as it turned out). Furniture was to be wrapped well, unwrapped and reassembled (if any were taken apart) at the new house. The quote we received was very reasonable (we interviewed other in-state movers and AMS was not the lowest quote, nor was it the highest). We decided to go with AMS for all these reasons. On the day of the move, December 7, 2019, the reps were not in attendance. Four men arrived and all seemed to be going well. It was a two-day, two-truck process, as everyone thought it would be. That first day everyone worked hard, and the contents of the apartment, garage and storage area were packed up in the two trucks. As had been agreed to the men packed a few items as we had run out of room in boxes. They were in good humor and although it was a tight fit, got everything in the trucks by the end of the day. The second day could not have been more different. The first truck arrived at about 1 p.m. (but that first truck would not begin until the other truck arrived about an hour later) after what all had agreed would be about a 4-hour drive time charge. The men (virtually the same ones as had packed us up) seemed tired, listless and surly. We had marked the boxes on the top and sides and we asked that they stack them with the labels out so we could see what they were. They did not do so, did not stack the boxes where we asked, did not even stack them neatly, but just put them willy-nilly all over the place. It subsequently took hours of our time just to get the boxes relocated in the appropriate rooms. The final bill quoted by the lead worker was double the initial quote and he refused to begin unloading until we provided our credit card information. He said that was how they always did it and we would get a refund from the office the next business day - when they had the exact hours; he confirmed this later after consulting the office. The lead worker said he had explained everything in his phone call to the office and told them what had been originally agreed upon; he said just pay the bill and call the office tomorrow they would then reimburse us. There was some damage and we were told to make a claim to the company; we did so, and the person on the phone said we would be reimbursed (the loss from broken antique table cannot be recouped, nor the table replaced, and we are not asking for that). We fed the men dinner and paid them each a bonus, according to how hard they had worked, and because the bill dispute was not their fault. They left at 6 p.m., with, as we later realized, furniture still wrapped and assembly incomplete so that we had to put things together ourselves. The “job hours” charge for the second day was 9 hours, 4 more than the men actually worked (the calculation was at $238 per hour). The 8 hours travel time, for the second trip, listed on the bill of was double what we had agreed. We had not been told we would be charged $129 for “materials” to wrap furniture. We called the office the next day and explained all the above and requested only the 4 job-hours overage times the $238 per hour rate be refunded, along with the cost to replace two broken lamp shades that had been crushed by the movers. We have phoned several times since then, have been told the owner would contact us, and have heard nothing. The person we spoke with on the phone acknowledged the company owed us money, but we have received nothing. We sent the company a letter virtually identical to this one and have had no response. We are disappointed by the misrepresentations by and poor treatment of these issues by this company. We would not recommend this company to anyone. Larry and Barbara Nelson

It was the worse experience I have ever experienced. We kept waiting, they called and said they were running late! Eventually asking if they could come in the morning. I said NO! I had a plane to catch first thing in the morning. They came very late. They were tired and couldn't handle the furniture or the big items. They called another person to come, charging met for an extra mover. They broke the 2 items I explained were priceless to me, the reason I hired movers! Then, they asked me not to turn in a claim! They ended up not paying for the repairs, due to an insurance glitch - my move did not have enough weight to cover the amount of money for the repairs. Do not use this company!

I was told to have anything in boxes and taped and I even marked everything. The movers took the boxes and put them in the truck the way that fit best. When they put the boxes in the house, the boxes were on their side and even upside down. I was told that I didn't need to empty out drawers and they became jammed and stuff was falling out of them. The mirrors were removed from the dresser and the screws were removed from the holes and when we got to the new house, they never put them back on. The move took 16 hours and he said that the guys had to leave and he would send someone back the next day. He never sent anyone back. I had to find someone else to help put things back together. I felt bad for the movers because they were working so long and moving a lot of furniture. My family started to help them because they were getting so tired.
Description of Work: They were supposed to supply two trucks and four movers. They showed up with one truck and three movers. Later in the day, another mover did show up. They were supposed to move me from one home to another about 13 miles away in one move. It ended up being two moves and 16 hours.

If you value anything that you own, do not hire All My Sons! I have moved at least twenty times in my life, and I can not express strongly enough the nightmare that this company created. The team leader/driver arrived with a nasty attitude, and things went down hill from there. The three movers told me at the end of the job that they stop being paid as soon as the moving truck arrives at the destination (not when they are finished unpacking), so they were literally throwing my belongings off the truck to get back to earning their hourly wage. I own a number of antiques, and every single one was damaged to the point of significant to complete loss of value by their handling. It's difficult to understand how they actually packed, as not one piece of wooden furniture arrived unharmed, all were deeply gouged, scratched, massively dented, even smashed. Boxes clearly labeled FRAGILE and TOP LOAD were crushed, and planters dropped and shattered. Despite specific instructions to shrink wrap certain pieces, they didn't, and completely crushed beyond repair the top and bottom doors on a 200 year old hutch. The manager of the company offered me "pennies on the pound" in compensation, or repairs by a business of their choosing. That business told me that they couldn't believe the terrible damage they regularly see from All My Sons. It took a full year to get my piece back, and it was still only half repaired. In what should have been a simple, local move, I lost many thousands of dollars in damages to All My Sons, not to mention the pain of having family heirlooms and just plain everything I own battered and trashed, and a number of pieces destroyed. In retrospect my first call after their delivery should have been to a lawyer.
Description of Work: I hired All My Sons to move the contents of a three bedroom house about ten miles across town. I have moved many times in my life, and everything was expertly and carefully boxed before their arrival, they had only to wrap the wooden furniture, and move all the boxes and furniture to the new home.

Outstanding . . .for men working the day before Thanksgiving . . . they did not compromise on the quality and professionalism of the work they were doing.
Description of Work: Walk through pre-move estimate done on Saturday - ll/17/20112. Moving crew of 2 workers arrived EARLY which was a welcome site . . .they set to work and I observed professional movers who wasted no time carefully wrapping and packing everything taking time to DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME which resulted in NO BREAKAGE OR DAMAGE to my furnishings. They were polite, focused and hard working. They had strong work ethics that showed in every task they had to do. Packing and loading and traveling to the new home (1 block away) was done with efficiency. The offloading and setup was amazing. They took time to tighten loose legs on a bench and dining room chair . . . and took pride in the work they accomplished. Did I mention that this was all completed within a 4-6 hour timeframe.

If you want to make moving even more stressful, hire "All My Sons Movers." I must begin by saying that we were trying to sell our house, before the bottom fell out of the market, so we moved into a rented apartment, emptying the house thinking it would sell faster that way. We had this company "All My Sons" move us to the apartment in June of 2010, with a successful move costing about $500. The housing market got even worse, and no one looked at our house for over a year. We decided to move back to the house, and hired "All My Sons" again. 1. Scheduling the move was fine, and they quoted a price on our 3 bedroom apartment of approximately the same $500.00. But, we had purged many books (two retired professors) and other items, so we had even less to move back. 2. Moving day arrived and was to begin at 8 a.m. All My Sons didn't arrive. 3. We were called was told that they were going to arrive at our home in Chandler, AZ. Our apartment was in Northeast Tucson. After we cleared up that mistake, we were told that there would be a delay and they would arrive mid-afternoon. 4. At six that evening they still weren't there. We called again. There was another delay. 5. They arrived at 10 that night--a motley crew of young guys, two of whom looked like college or high school students. 6. We began to get concerned when the lead guy had a terrible time turning the truck around in the parking lot to get the ramp on the sidewalk. 7. The lead guy kept telling the other two how they were going to load the truck, but the other two randomly carried boxes and furniture onto the truck, not listening to his directions. 8. In the wee hours of the morning, the lead guy came to us and said the truck was full and they had been moving all day, and were going to park the truck and come back in the morning. There was still a lot of things in the apartment that needed to be on the truck, but they wouldn't fit. Remember, we had less than they moved with the same size truck a year ago. 9. I went to the house across town to receive the furniture. When they postponed the move, I had to drive back across town to sleep in a bed that was still there. 9. The next morning, I called the office of the company and got an answer from a representative from ALL MY SONS. Needless to say I was frustrated, angry, and expecting an explanation of what they were going to do for us. The person was confrontational, rude, defensive, and complaining about his allergies. He acted as they did nothing wrong, but told me that they would unload the truck at our house and go back to pick up the remainder of the furniture. He also promised a discount. 10. In mid-afternoon, the partially loaded truck arrived at our home. A new crew was there, and they were amazed at how poorly the truck was packed. Things were broken, and everything was in a state of confusion. They unloaded the truck and went back across town to get the remainder of our things from the apartment. 11. That evening the remainder of our things arrived. We were billed $900+ with a discount of $100. A trip from Tanque Verde and Catalina Highway to Starr Pass takes over an hour in a truck, so our discount merely covered the trip across town that was the company's fault. I need to mention that the first moving crew told us that the manager of the company fired one of the key drivers that day, and it totally screwed up their schedule. Why, oh why, didn't they just postpone the move to another day instead of putting us through the torture and stress that occurred. A company with all these flaws and poor management should not be allowed to move people's possessions. We could have taken them to small claims court or to the better business bureau, but we were just to exhausted and disappointed. Final chapter of this saga. We finally sold the house when the market improved, and moved to a rental patio home in the same area as the apartment. We hired Elegant Movers and the move happened in 4 1/2 hours for a cost of $517.28 only because we paid with a debit card. Less if you pay cash. Nothing was broken and we have reinstated our faith in movers. Hire Elegant Movers...NOT ALL MY SONS

Before moving, I priced several different moving companies. This company seemed to be very courteous on the phone. Their bid seemed very fair (400.00-450.00) to move me 15 miles. I did all of the packing, all they had to do was load and unload their truck. I was told that the job would take approximately 4 hours. This did not seem like enough time to move, but they are the "professionals" and have been doing this for many years so I figured they knew what they were talking about. On the day of the move we were told that the movers would be there at noon and have us moved by 4 PM. I called the company several times after noon when the movers did not arrive. I was offered by the company that they would send out an additional man, making it 3 instead of 2 for and additional $30/hour. I told them that I would be happy to have the 3rd man but I did not think I should have to pay considering that they were late. not me. As you can guess, they did not go for that. So at 5:30 PM, 2 men show up and start loading my apartment. At 1 AM they are still off loading our belongings. They then come to me with a bill before fully unloading the entire truck. Now, mind you I was quoted $400-450. The bill is for twice that much. I spoke with Damien at the company and try to work with him on a price since it took much longer than quoted and much more money than quoted. A company that has been doing this work for as long as they have should be able to come closer to their quote than double the amount. Since we could not come up with a compromise that night, they took the remaining items on the truck back to their warehouse to keep till bill is paid. I only owed about $340.00 but they kept well over $3,000 worth of items. Not only did it cost more, I had a tempurpedic mattress that was only 3 years old that they did not protect when moving it and now my warranty is null and void. To make a long story shorter, We ended up settleing for less money, but they are making me sign a waiver so that they are not responsible for my mattress that I paid $4,500.00 for. My suggestion to you, don't use this company for your moving needs, and if you do, move the expensive/fragile items yourself. They do not seem to put the customer first

All my sons moving of Tucson, stay away from these thieves. They ripped off a Disabled Viet-Nam Era Veteran. They quoted $2200. on moving my wife & I from Tucson, Az. to Flagstaff, Az. At the end of the move in Flagstaff, they presented a bill for $3500. This "Professional Moving Co" showed up in a truck about the size of a U-Haul with 2 guys. Right away the driver said he could not fit it all on one truck, so he called his boss who charged my another $500. for another truck & driver(not a moving laboror, strictly, a driver). Now that puts us at $2700., but the bill is for $3500. My wife had the driver get his boss(James) on the phone & he stated he should have charged us $4200. he said they charge by the pound, but they never went through any scales along the way, he stated we should know how much our possessions weigh but being a really nice guy, he would only hold us up for an additional $500. bringing the total to $3200. We paid, because it was 2:30am & we were tired & decided the poor guys working for this guy for $8.50 hour needed rest too. We contacted the BBB, filed a complaint, his answer was "too bad, I'm not giving anything back & he didn't care if there was a complaint with them or not. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE........................
