Affordable Fence and Gate

The fit and finish of the new gate was exceptional. The entire experience, from my visit to their showroom, the planning and layout of the gate, to the installation was great. The operation is competent and professional. My installers, Avery and Andrei, were friendly and explained the process completely, and cleaned up completely when they were finished. I recommend them highly and would hire them again.

We replaced 18-year old painted wrought iron fencing, 4 gates and a 'catrium' with rebar-style pre-rusted material. We got a price and design, then waited for fabrication and install. Everyone at this company is professional from Michelle and Jeff to our installers, Brandon and Zach. It isn't "instant gratification" because it takes time to make the rebar fencing as each piece has to be hand-curved, but the result was well worth the wait. It's beautiful and high-quality work. The catrium project was complex as it has a locking door, different size expanded metal mesh at the bottom, and had to be fitted around a step-style support post. The crew came out and did the frame for it on site and then took it back to complete the fabrication. Everything fits as it should, and our two cats now have a safe place to spend time outdoors (there's a pet door into the house from the catrium). Pricing was reasonable for the quality. The fencing and 4 gates cost $7953, and the catrium was $4109. We highly recommend this company.

Both times we used Affordable, they were great! They had good products, great ideas, were open to suggestions and ideas, were efficient and timely. Brandon, Jarek & Avery were great! I highly recommend Affordable.

It went great! The two installers, Daniel M. and Jerry L., were punctual, friendly, professional, and worked very hard in the heat for half a day installing the fence. I love the way it turned out and will definitely use this business again. Also, going to the showroom was a good experience. They had samples of the many options for fencing and everyone I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. I am happy to support this local business.

We just completely replaced the builder-blah fencing around our yard with ocotillo style fence and custom gates. It took a big of time and research to refine the design with Jeff, but the results are spectacular. Once everything was set, they showed up exactly on schedule and the install went perfectly. Special shout out to our installers, David M, Jesus J, and Jerry L. who moved rocks and bushes in the blistering heat and still managed to be super sweet (and clean up afterwords). We're very happy to have worked with AF&G.

The crew arrived early in the morning for what we were told be a 1 1/2 - 2 day installation. They were done and gone by about 2:00 that day! The boss came out a little later, saw something he didn't like and said they'd fix it. The crew came back about a week later and did so. We're very happy with the fence and no more javelinas!! 😃

This is the second time we've had Affordable Fence do work for us. The work was custom and technical, as we had very a very specific idea of what we wanted. Total work performed was about 200 feet of fence, a custom gate, and an octagon shaped iron ramada with a corrugated roof. Our installers, Daniel and Ruben, did great work, were highly professional, cleaned up their work area daily, and took the time at various stages of the project to have us come out and look at the work in progress to make sure that it was according to our specifications. I look forward to my next opportunity to hire Affordable Fence, as I know I'm getting exceptional work.

He never gave me the quote. He came to take measurements, a week later I called to ask about the quote and he said he had been sick, but I never heard back from him.

Professional, on time and exactly what we wanted at a good price.

Field Rep. took measurements on time but never produced the measurements to office. Called office they said they didn't have the measurements so another appointment was made 1 week down the road. Field Rep. came and measured and tried to blame me for talking to him the first time. Lead time was 3 weeks for finished product. Finally, the measurements were received by office for production but now the production time was doubled to 6 weeks. We explained about the measurements not being submitted by Field Rep. and that it put us behind 1 week. They said "this is our busiest time of year and we are slammed" we could wait 6 weeks or they could refund our deposit of $800. We took our money back and went with another gate builder with a 1 week production time and came in $200 cheaper.

Overall satisfactorily but there were major problems. Affordable Fence had pictures I sent them of my job. Affordable Fence sent their own salesman to draw up a schematic of the job.Therefore the notion that I would override the plan and common sense to tell Daniel & Nick to violate my neighbor's private property is absurd.The installers Nick & Daniel placed 2 support beams into my neighbor's property in his ground.They had to tear down my old wood fence and the property line is clearly demarcated by a 3 foot wall. Therefore they had to jump down into my neighbor's yard to concrete the support beams. When I called on 4/10/17 they returned on 4/14/17 which was excellent.I asked them to fix the rattling on the gravity latch which they refused.The gate sits 3feet from my bedroom and when its windy rattles all night.Jeff O'Neill wrote:"This is Jeff Oneill, I was put there to move your fence on the second day. The fence was originally put in the wrong spot because you instructed our crew to stall it on the outside of the wall. We came and moved the fence due to no fault of our own so as to prevent issues with your neighbor. When we were done I had you look at everything to make sure everything was ok. The gate come standard with gravity latches, they will move with the wind. If you are trying to limit that I would suggest tapping it with a hammer, or putting a piece of rubber hose around the finger. We do not adjust the gravity latch this was because most people like the gate to close easily. This is a personal choice and not something we would come down to adjust." It was not windy when they finished and assumed they had replaced the latch.I told Jeff that it was RIDICULOUS & ILLEGAL to tell his installers to put the Fence into my Neighbor's Yard and onto Private Property! Everything went fantastic. From the estimate, to the discussion of what our options were, ending up with a tricky installation due to our bowed block wall - it could not have gone better. We now have two beautiful gates that both lock. We also have a little door opening so I can see out since I can't see over the gate!

Everything went great. Gate is installed and looks gorgeous. Installers clearly took care to place it perfectly level and clean. The gate itself is gorgeous. Iron frame has a textured paint, and synthetic wood planks in the middle. Very happy with the result!

I was 10 minutes late for the estimate and the gentleman was just leaving, he was very kind to have waited for me. The estimate went well he asked me questions another company didn't. I was/am very happy with the end result. If I need another gate or a pool enclosure I will definitely call them.

Affordable Fence and Gate did an excellent job for us. They came out the same day we saw them in their showroom and gave us a bid right there. I don't know if they are the cheapest, but they do good work and we found that we can rely on them - and that is worth a lot to us. We only live in Tucson part time, so we asked that they send us a couple of photos to show the work was completed. They showed up on the scheduled day and completed the work to a high standard. We received the photos and made payment. Later, when we were back in Tucson, we noticed the gate's latch was different than we thought. The gate and fence looked great and they had cleaned up after themselves. The latch issue could have been our misunderstanding, and not a mistake. Even so, Affordable Fence & Gate said no problem. They went back and swapped out the latch for the one we thought we were getting and mailed us the keys. They truly want to make sure their customers are satisfied. It is great doing business with such a fine outfit.

Excellent. Affordable Fence and Gate quickly responded and scheduled an estimate for the work we wanted done. Krystle quickly contacted us and scheduled the estimate for the date and time convenient for us. Ron came out on December 30th and listened to what we wanted done and made some wonderful recommendations. He quickly was able to take our information and submit draft drawings. He arrived with samples of their work and supplied us with an estimate that same day. We had several other contractors supply quotes and based on Affordable Fence and Gate responsiveness, workmanship samples, pricing, and professional we contracted them for the work. They estimated 4 to 6 weeks delivery, however they completed the project within 2 weeks and scheduled the install this week ( January 13th). Installers arrived as scheduled and completed the install with 2 1/2 hours. The product is even better than we had envisioned and we are completely satisfied with their work. Would highly recommend this company. They are locally owned, fabricate their own gates and enclosures, and do not skimp on quality or try to nickle and time the consumer.

Fabulous: very professional and friendly. Krystal in the office was lovely. The installation happened when we were away, so we came home to a wonderful gate. We get lots of compliments on it. We would definitely use them again if we needed any thing else, like a security door.

Our experience with Affordable Fence and Gate from start to finish has been FABULOUS!!! From that very first email with Krystal in the office, I knew this was the company we wanted to do business with. Her VERY detailed and quick response via email to my questions was a very rare find! We were impressed from the beginning with her and then took a trip to the showroom. She worked with us on our wants/needs and we went to work designing something just for us! She was ALWAYS available for any questions we had and we received very quick responses too, even with how busy she always was. We really, really appreciated that special attention and she never made us feel as if we were asking too many questions. Jeff came out and did the rough measurements and gave us the quote. The price was a bit more than we had anticipated, but we knew that with the treatment we had received up to that point that this was the company we wanted to do business with and we proceeded with the order. Then came the time to have the team come and measure the gate and front enclosure. That continued professionalism and punctuality was also there. They arrived on time and were super, super nice. We had requested that since we were doing a custom design that they take a few photos before doing the final welding. They did that for us and we worked with the shop foreman to make a few changes to our original design and he nailed it for us!!! His creativity along with Jeff's suggestions really added to our original design and made it even better!!! Install day was exciting for us and when we first saw it we were even more excited!!! It is just gorgeous and adds so much to the front of our home and not to mention allowing us to keep the front door open to have the air move freely throughout our home. An extra bonus is that the enclosure also looks just as beautiful when you are standing inside of our home! Our advice to anyone looking for a front security door, gate, fencing, etc........ ABSOLUTELY call this company and have them work with you. You WILL NOT regret it! It has been an absolute pleasure working with everyone associated with this company and we cannot recommend them highly enough! We know that if we have any issues in the future this company will be there for us. Professionalism, Integrity, Compassion, Pride in Their Work is what you will find with this company. I visited the showroom in May to get a rough estimate of what the gate replacement. I set up an appointment for May 19 to have the gates measured and to get an estimate. I reviewed the brochure I was given and went out to the web to select the gate I wanted. Ron arrived on time. He asked me some questions about my needs and then measured the gates. Once I showed him the gate I wanted, he prepared the estimate. Ron was very professional and pleasant. He answered all my questions and explained what I didn't understand. I received a call early in June advising my gates were ready for installation on June 11. The installers arrived on time and introduced themselves. They immediately got to the task of installing the gates. Before they left I was asked to inspect the gates. I was very satisfied with the work done and very pleased with the looks of the gates.

Everything went well, the company had a cancellation and were able to install the gate about 10 days earlier than expected, they were timely and the gate looks quite nice. Since the condo is in an HOA it did have to conform to certain restrictions on style and color and they did an excellent job of matching everything up.

It went great. I choose the gate from their catalog and it looks fantastic! I couldn't be more pleased. I would like to add a picture but don't know how.

We had some initial confusion getting the appointment set up. However, after that everything went smoothly. We basically told the sales person what we wanted and he drew it up. The gate/fence was delivered and meticulously installed. It turned out beautifully and we get lots of compliments from our neighbors. And the price was reasonable.

I selected Affordable Fence for my security screen door after visiting 4 other highly rated door manufacturers in Tucson. First, the quality of the door and workmanship was the best of the 5. Welds were clean and smooth, the frame of the door was square and constructed of the same gauge material as the others I saw. The finish (powder coated) was smooth and even. Second, the designs they had were more to my liking than others and they will modify or build to your plans. Third, the showroom was clean, uncluttered and showed many examples of their products. Fourth, the business is a family run business, and all the people I had contact with were extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They were prompt in when they came to measure and estimate the job, and in their delivery and installation. Fifth, the price for the door was approximately $400 less than the others I saw, and there were no add-ons from the original estimate. A couple of the other companies did want to add-on additional cost for the same finish I had from Affordable Fence. The door they delivered and installed was of the same quality as that I saw in the showroom, and the installation was clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
