Tim arrived the next afternoon, a pair of lift cables in hand (you always replace them as a pair) and quickly set to work. In about 30 minutes he had replaced both lift cables, adjusted the torsion springs, checked the tracks for proper allignment, readjusted the down and up forces, and adjusted the safety reverse pressure sensing. He also lubed the rollers and hinges and suggested that I do so annually. We gave him a check and he was on his way in about 35 minutes. Tim Hale has over 15 years of experience in garage door installation and repair work. He obviously knows what he is doing and will not waste his time or yours. Highly Recommended. .

My garage door unexpectedly stopped working on a Monday evening. It would only go up about a foot and then just stop, even though it worked fine earlier on the same day. I came to Angie's List and found many good recommendations for Tim at Able Garage. I called the number even though it was after normal working hours and he very patiently, over the phone, walked me through trying some different things to see if we could get it open. I couldn't lift it by myself and he concluded that the spring had broken on it. It's a 15 year old garage door so that spring worked for a good long time. He made an appointment to come out the next morning to fix it. He came a little early and within 30 - 40 minutes later, had it all fixed with a new shaft, spring, and bearings. I swear the thing has never worked better! The price was a little bit less than he had quoted over the phone. I highly recommend Tim - he's professional and does top notch work at a reasonable price.

Excellent experience. Each time Tim serviced my door, openers etc ( 3 times prior.) He was alway very fair, efficient and fixed the problem. He always checked for other potential problems and was honest. When it came time to replace the opener, he offered me several choices and was honest about the quality and not pressure to up sell. He ordered and completed installation within 48hrs. He called same day to confirm arrival time, was on time and very effecient. As always, he took time to explain the functions and answer questions about our new opener. Finally he voluntarily took back remotes we'd previously purchased and reduced our bill accordingly. Would deffinately recommend as first a choice.

Company was very responsive, professional, knowledgeable, on time, and reasonably priced. Garage door spring snapped on a Saturday, contacted the company on Monday and repair took place on Tuesday. They actually could have repaired the door the day I called, on Monday, but I was not available. Very happy and would highly recommend. Job well done!

Our house was struck by lightning, and many electrical devices were damaged or destroyed. Angie's List to the rescue! We called Able Garage Door for a repair on Monday morning. They were able to come out first thing Tuesday. Then we talked to our insurance company, and learned that we would have to get expert evaluations on anything we wanted repaired or replaced. So we canceled our appointment. After a few more conversations with insurance, they clarified that we could get the garage door work done immediately if we wanted. So we called Able again, and he had kept the slot open for us just in case. So we started out as difficult clients, but the company was gracious and accommodating. Tim showed up precisely on time. I happen to keep my watch within a few seconds of the national standard clock in Colorado, and he was here at exactly 7:30 AM, as promised. He set right to work. He helped identify specific lightning damage, which the insurance company needs for this claim, and replaced all the wiring and components that could have been affected. We had some old track lights on the garage ceiling, which were not attached to power but were in the way of a typical garage door opener installation. Tim removed them for us, saying it would make his job easier anyway. He was fast, thorough, and happy to answer all my questions about maintenance and operation. The new openers are a belt style, replacing our one screw drive and our one chain drive. The new ones are quiet as can be. Tim described them as being something that he installs and walks away from. He prefers that brand (Liftmaster) because of their reliability and durability. He's clearly not looking to set us up with any sort of paid maintenance plan; he'd rather do the job once and leave us happy. We're delighted overall, and would happily recommend Able to anyone.

Outstanding in every respect. Not only fixed the problem but serviced the rest of the door and recommended easy, "do it your self" maintenance actions to precude future similar reapairs. Highly recommend.

We selected Able Garage Door Service based on its high Angie's list rating. We called Tuesday and Tim arrived the next morning at the time he had promised. Tim quoted the exact charge before any work was done, and we had the option of replacing one or both of the torsion springs. Tim was on time, fast, efficient, and pleasant, answering our questions about doors. For what he did the price was very reasonable. We would highly recommend Able Garage Door Service.

Our garage door was stuck open on Wednesday morning. I called Tim and he came out the same morning! He determined that we needed a whole new opener and offered me two choices. He had to order the opener and called me to let me know it had come in and we scheduled an appointment for Friday morning. He and another helper came and installed the opener, oiled and serviced the door and provided me with two remotes. The service was completed in a very short time, Tim clearly knows his business and I couldn't be more satisfied.

We had used TIm in the past and had been very pleased. I called him and he asked specific questions to ensure he had the parts and would be able to repair the door in one trip. I was impressed that he would do that in advance so that it didn't waste anyone's time. He came the same day and had it fixed before I got home from work.

Tim was able to come over the morning after I called. He provided an immediate estimate for repair that sounded fair for the materials and labor involved. He fixed the garage door with a broken torsion spring, repositioned all cables, lubed the system and checked for proper operation. He had all the needed parts and performed the repair with a speed and confidence that demonstrated skill and experience.

I would recommend this company to anyone. The repairman came within 24 hours. He would have come sooner, but it was OK with me to wait for the next day. He was prompt, courteous and professional. My repair was done in less than 15 minutes. I checked around and his initial service call fee was less than anyone else and there was no travel fee.

I called Tim on Wednesday, and he came the same day. He assessed the problem and gave me an estimate, He had to order the side pieces, and said that he would repair on Friday. Tim arrived promptly on Friday and the work was completed efficiently, and in a timely manner.

I called Tim because my garage door broke and we were unable to open it. I found him on Angies List and chose him for his good ratings and closeness to my house. He came out the next day, and gave me two options for my door. One was to repair it and two was to replace the door completely. Because of the damage to the door it was actually to my benefit to replace it rather than repair it . Tim didn't "force" the sale of the new door on me either, he was worried that $630 with tax was and is a lot of money and said I could wait and call him back once I had time to think about it. He was honest from the start about what was wrong and didn't try and con me into more work than necessary either. I chose to go with the new door as I've stated and we made an installation appointment. Due to MY writing down the wrong date, Tim showed up and I was not ready for the installation as the garage needed to be cleaned in order for him to have room to work. Tim was so gracious and nice about it and reschedule me for two days later, without charging me! I felt aweful, realizing I had messed up his entire day, but he was very understanding about the whole mix up! When he did do the installation, he did MORE than just install the garage door, he moved the garage door opener itself as it had been installed incorrectly 10 years ago and when I had a new one installed by Sears, they just put the new one in the same place! He reprogramed all of our door openers for the cars to include the Links system in my one vehichle as my son was having trouble with it. He even double checked the door entry pad and found the code wasn't working correctly and anyone could have entered my garage at any time! In addition to all of this, he pointed out that my homeowners association would probable make me repaint the door as it is white and not up to code. Sure enough receive a notification already. When I tried to give Tim a tip for the trouble I had caused for the missed appointment and the extra work, he refused it! We finally settled on an amount that was much less than I liked. Tim is honest to the bone, and does more than install your garage door, he makes sure everything is in tip top shape before he leaves. This is the best experience I have ever had with any business!

The repairman was incredibly personable and polite. The repair was quick and well done.

Called to request service and they arrived as soon as possible. The work was completed quickly and correctly with additional adjustments made to make the old door last as long as possible. The repairman was professional and courteous and efficient.

The garage doors are excellent. They are highly efficient, and I highly recommend them. They cleaned up everything when they left. I did not have any problems with them at all. They were absolutely on time and absolutely professional.

I was a little apprehensive about having to call a repair person out, as I expected to be sold something I didn't need. When I called Tim, he offered to give me some ideas on what I might be able to do myself before having him come out. Having already tried to get the door working on my own, I opted to have him come out and take a look at it, as I figured it probably needed overhauling. Tim explained reasons for the trouble and pointed out where I could make adjustments on my own, if need be. He lubricated the door and enlightened me on the proper lubricants to use in the future. While he felt the opener was probably coming towards the end of its life, he told me to ride it out as long as I could and that when the time came for a new one, he would be happy to consult with me on another one with better mechanics. I truly felt comfortable working with this person and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for any type of garage door service or repair. I believe I got more than my money's worth from his service.
