 + 5 moreRoger is friendly, thorough and understands our needs. As we are not on site all the time, he communicates over the phone and email and we meet with him monthly so far. There is a ton of work for him and he fits us in between his other regular clients. We are delighted with this arrangement as it allows Roger to work at his own pace once we set the priorities. We were happy to have a working bathroom and finished bedroom for our stay last week, and all the money we saved on hotels will go to Roger for future renovations to the house. During the last storm he discovered a leak and kept it from destroying our carpets. He is meticulous and cleans up after his work. We are very pleased with Roger and just wish we were his only clients! During the winter, you need to schedule him in advance. We are expecting Roger to assist with a complete kitchen renovation as well as a patio slab and specialized patio roof, and a complete roof repair all after the first of the year. I just wish he could clone himself for us...
Description of Work: Roger Rutledge is our handyman and he does everything, which is good, because we need a full renovation on our newly-purchased fixer. So far he has done demo work, installed vanities & sinks, done plumbing repair, painting and electrical switch & lights installation, fixed the hot water heater, inspected the roof, mapped out electrical intricacies of the A/C system and is currently finishing work in both bathrooms.

 + -1 moreRoger did a great job. He is somewhat of a perfectionist and he does not hurry his work so it gets done right. He kept in touch through out the work letting me know what he was doing and when he would be working and on what. I will definitely call him if I need further work done on the house. We have talked to him about doing some interior painting and will include him as one of the bidders.
Description of Work: Roger, replaced a termite damaged post on out front porch. He stained it to match the other wood and you can hardly tell the difference. He also replaced 12 vigas and put copper caps on them to help slow down the weathering over the years. They really look great. Roger also covered the laminated beams across the top of the garage doors with sheets of copper. The beams had weather and were looking terrible. Now they look great. We had two windows that leaked and Roger worked on them too. He tried his best to stop the leaks but where the water was coming in could not be determined so we will have to wait until it rains to find out if the leaks got fixed.

 + -1 moreRoger is professional and friendly. He does excellent work and is able to balance financial needs with home maintenance needs. He is a problem solver and I have valued his help over the years. He has always been responsive to my requests and I trust both him and his work.
Description of Work: Last year Roger re-coated the roof of our home. He has worked on our house since we bought it in 2003. His work on our home has included all kinds of repairs and maintenance--plumbing, painting, roofing, building a wooden fence. Roger has worked on most aspects of home maintenance. What I value most is that he knows the home and helps us maintain it. He can recognize when something needs attention (important in an older home like ours).
