I called the Tucson branch of this company on Wednesday morning and got a same day appointment. Jake arrived early (which was wonderful). He discussed the different repair options available and answered all my questions. Very professional and I would definitely hire again.

My garage door opener was misbehaving and I hoped it would be a simple fix. After some diagnosis, the tech determined that a failed circuit board was the most likely culprit. He presented options to repair or replace and we decided on a replacement since the unit was 18 years old. The replacement was complete: opener, new belt drive and sensors and an interior wall mounted control (which I never had before) and 2 handheld remotes. Only one remote came with the unit but the tech was kind enough to find a used unit in his truck and gave that to me as well. He removed the brand new batteries from my old remote and returned the batteries to me. Both new remotes came with fresh batteries. He programmed both remotes and my car for the new opener. The tech Jake was great.

Jake A. was wonderful. He replaced the cables, adjusted the door opener, and told us how to properly maintain the door hinges. He was pleasant and enjoyable to talk with. We couldn't be happier!

I thought it was very unprofessional that there was no call to me to let me know as the property manager what was happening and what charges where being made to my credit card. I didn’t even know what happened or what I was paying for until I saw a charge to my card. For me, I like doing business with a company that (a) recognizes their mistakes and (b) tries to correct it with me. This company did recognize the mistake, and said they would talk with the tech. That is not correcting a mistake with me as the consumer.

Get, and they found two issues which they fixed.

Called on a Saturday afternoon. The only service store out of the top 5 that advertised opened on weekends and actually had a person that answered the phone instead of a recording; they got our business. Their OUTSTANDING customer service, quality, and price ensured my business for the future. I tried replacing the gasket on my own; however, the door required a special gasket that was not sold at our local Home Depot, Lowe’s, or ACE. On top of that it was getting ready to pour buckets of rain. I called A Authentic at 1:00 PM, their tech arrived at 2:00 PM and saved the day. It started to rain just as their tech was leaving our home. Thank you A Authentic, we are a customer for life!!!

I could tell that Jose is very competent, and I appreciate his work. I just wish it didn't cost so much. I would like to have him do similar work on our one-car garage door, along with replacing the bottom seals on both garage doors, but not at that price. Now, if they offer a discount on that package in the future, I would definitely consider purchasing it. Of course, I would ask that Jose, or someone just as competent, do the work!

My garage door leaks. I want to get it fixed. I called Authentic Garage Door twice and spoke to two different ladies about my problem. I asked if they gave free estimates. I was told, "No, they did not." One lady said the company would lose money if they did that. I was also told they could not guarantee their work. One lady was not nice in talking with me and answering my questions. I did not feel good when I hung up. I am retired and on a fixed income. I read on Angie's list Authentic Garage Door does state they give free estimates. How, exactly, do they know what the problem is? I am not happy with this experience and it does not show professionalism in dealing with customers. If they do not give free estimates, then they need to change their wording on Angie's List.

We heard a loud noise coming from our garage and when we went to investigate found that the door spring had cracked. With the help of a couple of friends, we were able to get the garage door open in order to remove our vehicles. A check of Angies List showed that A Authentic had excellent reviews. I called at 1:00 p.m., and by 3:15 Jacob --- the service Tech---was at our house. He showed me the problem and told me that my door---with a single spring---should have a dual spring system. He provided me with options for fixing the problem, and since the state of the various components (15 years old) was apparent, I decided to replace all major components. Jacob got to work, and less than an hour later I was presented with a garage door that worked flawlessly. I also needed to have the rubber door seal (at the bottom of the garage door) replaced. Over the years, it had become dry and brittle and was allowing insects to get into the garage. While Jacob didn't have the seal on his truck, we agreed that he would order it and come out within a week to install it. This morning--three days later---I received a call informing me that he had the rubber seal and could stop over to install it. He arrived within 15 minutes and installed it. This was one of the best service experiences I have ever had. I recommend A Authentic without service. Jacob was professional, prompt and did impeccable work.

The opener broke on Friday morning at 8:30. I called the main service number, and a technician in the area arrived by 10am. Jose looked at the problem and said he could either replace just the broken part for $235, or install a new opener for about twice that depending on model. Even though our unit is nearly 10 years old it is in good shape so I elected to have the repair made. The job took 30 minutes start to finish. Service just doesn't get any better than this in terms of timeliness and efficiency. $235 might sound like a lot for just replacing a $40 part, but it required opening the unit to fish out the part and he did all of this without having to unbolt anything from the door or the ceiling. I'd have taken hours to do this by making it harder than it needed to be. I especially liked that while he worked Jose explained the important choices to be made when I decide to buy a new opener in the future. In particular although the manufacturer highlights the horsepower of the various models, that is not really important - any modern opener will operate all but the largest doors. What is more significant is that due to different designs, the higher horsepower units are constructed in such a way that more of the important parts are covered under the warranty. Good to know, and not at all apparent in reading the advertising.

They were professional and punctual but I did not end up needing the service.

I have been using this company for 9 years. Scott, the technician, has always been excellent and reliable. Although the garage door installation was performed effectively I have been very disappointed in the responsiveness of the management and lack of professionalism with which they have dealt with my problem. I was billed an additional $225 which was paid up front for the painting of the new door to match the house. The painter came 2 wks after the installation to paint to match the color of the house. After completion and waiting to see if the color would change, it became evident that the shade was not the same. In fact, the almond unpainted garage door that was installed was closer to the shade than the finished result. I called and was directed to the [subcontracted] painter. After many calls he finally got back to me, and said that the color might have been faded on the old garage door, resulting in the mismatch. Both house and the garage door had been painted just 3-4yrs ago & the door is on a northern exposure. The installer had taken a sample of the old door to match the paint exactly. I took a photo of the finished result, directed it to Emily at A-Authentic, who said she would have the manager, Daryl, review the issue and call me back. Although Daryl did attempt one call, and left a v/m, he has not returned the returned call or the frequent messages I left the week of May 18, nor has he returned the 3 calls left the week of May 26th. The issue remains unresolved. The garage door would have been a closer match if left unpainted which would have saved me $225. The seams of the almond unpainted garage door that appear when the garage door is opened show a much better match that the finished painted door. I paid for a matching door, and since it is not, I would like to be reimbursed $225. I held off with this review hoping I would be able to resolve this issue without this report, but have been unable to get any return call from this company. I would not recommend them because of their poor customer service, and certainly do not intend to use them in the future.

Job was performed well and we've had no problems. My only minor complaint was that I felt he was trying to sell us something we did not need.

They tried to sale me additional things that I didn't feel I needed. I felt kind of pressured. The service I paid for was excellent though.

Service has always been great with the company. I have probably used them at least 10 times in the past. However, this technician that showed up probably didn't know that. He told me the total bill would come out to $560. When I told him that was ridiculous for 2 springs and that I have never been charged that much ever before from their company for the same service he lowered the price by almost $250. I know a company has to make money but I don't think it's good practice to try to rip off your repeat customers.

My garage door is working more smoothly and I love my new key pad entry outside. The technician explained it all to me and gave me the paperwork for the key pad in the event I have any problems with it. I will definitely use this company for my future tune-ups to my garage door.

When I tried to back the car out of the garage, the door would not open. I noticed one of the cables had come off the pulley and was dangling. I called A Authentic Garage Door Svc.. Co. and was given an appointment for within 2 hours. Jason arrived on time and discovered the lift spring was broken. Since the lift system on the door was over 20 years old, it required more than just a new spring. Jason had the required parts on his truck and proceeded to rebuild the lift system and lubed the springs, hinges and drive screw. Jason was very cordial and professional, explaining what needed to be done and how he would do it, even showing me where some of the other parts to be replaced were worn.. Service was quickly completed and all the old parts taken away. A Authentic provides a 5 year warranty on the replaced parts.
