"I was quoted a good price to install five new interior doors. I was told it would be completed in three days. Family owned Dirt moving, specialty is laser leveling. House pads. Roads built and maintained. Can also do junk and trash removal. Tree removal and tree trimming. Size of tree doesn’t matter.

"Fantastic! Right from the start Mr Perry laid out steps he would be taking, in getting a level, structured pasture. He would always call ahead to check if access to the property. My soil was like concrete. He would work the soil repeadily over a few months. When he decided the soil was ready, he waited for the best planting time(no frosts). He leveled the pasture with precion. Then planted the seed. I just irrigated the pasture today. The water flowed on a perfect flat flow! The work he accomplished was perfect. He is honest, straight forward, and highly knowledgeable."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

On average, removing a tree costs around $750, but you can expect to pay between $200 to $2,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

The cost varies depending on a number of factors, including the size of the tree, location, accessibility, whether or not the stump is also being removed, and other environmental factors.

Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25

Each tree is different, and costs can vary widely based on factors including tree size, hardness of wood, difficulties caused by location of the tree and proximity to nearby structures and objects, inherent risk involved in specific removals (e.g. rotten sections of trunk), requirements of dealing with municipalities and local governments for tree removal permits, and the methods employed by the tree worker to remove your tree.

A single tree could cost as low as $100 to remove or $10,000 dollars or more depending on these factors. It is also important to keep in mind that many companies have a minimum price to come out and do work or even give quotes.

Answered by John Catalo at Catalo Arbor Care Inc in West Palm Beach, FL on 01/14/125

Removal of trees costs about $1,500 to $3,000, on average.

Answered by Jeremiah Erickson at Chameleon Property Services LLC in Albany, NY on 01/13/25

On average, removing a tree costs around $1,000, but you can expect to pay between $750 and $6,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

  1. If there are no online reviews, ask them for referrals. If a tree removal company is reputable, you won't be their first client. It's perfectly acceptable to ask for references on your initial call, and if a removal company won't provide referrals, it's time to move on.

  2. Find out what equipment they use. Some types of tree removal equipment are better than others, and a removal company might need special tools to get your particular job done. On your first conversation with a prospective removal company, make sure that you clearly express the nature of the job you want accomplished and receive assurances that the company has the proper equipment.

  3. Consider all of the costs. Always ask for an estimate up-front. Inquire about the job itself and any potential hidden fees that you might not be aware of.

First, get references. Be sure to ask about their history and how long they have been in business.

How many years of total service in the industry.

Answered by Daniel Humphrey at Skyview Tree Solutions in Jasper, IN on 01/30/25

To have a fallen tree removed near your home, you can expect to pay between $100 to $500. Your local tree removal professional will most likely just need to cut and remove the tree from your property, but factors like the size of the tree and its trunk diameter impact this cost. In addition, there will be an extra cost to fill in the hole left by the tree, and while you have your tree removal specialist on-site, it might be worth it to have them inspect the other trees in your yard for potential damage. Trees that have fallen onto your home or another structure, will likely be more costly to remove.

The minimum cost is $500 to $1,000, as disposal of tree debris is between $200 and $300 per load.

Answered by Jeff Searles at Lakeshore Tree Care in Chanhassen, MN on 01/08/25

Costs can range from $500 up to $2,000, on average. It depends on the size of the tree, the location, accessibility, if there are hazardous conditions surrounding the tree and the environment, and if other work is being done on the property along with fallen tree removal.

Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25

It really depends on if it's just lying on the ground or if it fell on a structure. The cost could be anywhere from $500 to $10,000. There's a wide price range because some fallen trees are really easy to remove, while others are very difficult and require a crane.

Answered by Kenneth Kirlin at Carolina Tree Trimmers LLC in Summerville, SC on 01/06/25

You can expect to pay about $1,000 to $4,000 to have a fallen tree removed. Trees that have fallen require more labor to remove than one that's standing.

Answered by Jeremiah Erickson at Chameleon Property Services LLC in Albany, NY on 01/13/25

Budget over $1,500 if you need a tree removed from your yard that’s larger than 80 feet. Large tree removal is a significant project that requires a crane, and the overall price will increase if the tree is close to your house. Typically, smaller trees can cost as low as $8 per foot to remove, while larger trees (over 80 feet) can cost at least $15 per foot.
