+ -1 moreEveryone there, from Rebecca who answers the phone to Taylor to Dan to Glenn who first came out, are all super professional and polite, on time, do what they say and install a quality product. It is expensive as people say but if you install an alarm system it costs a couple thousand a year to maintain and won't stop people from getting in as these do, and these will last a long time. They also block sound/sun/keep temperatures even in house. Super well made. LOVE this company and wouldn't hesitate to recommend!!

It took more than one visit because the plantation shutters inside the bedroom had to be modified to accommodate the manual crank. In each case Roll-A-Shield arrived when scheduled; their staff were pleasant, very knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. They worked with my other contractors to determine and implement the best possible solution for the installation of the manual crank, even though I know this took them longer than it would have to just and quot;drill a hole in the walland quot;. It was obvious that they cared about the final product, and were willing to invest the time to and quot;do it rightand quot;, not just to and quot;do it quicklyand quot;. I would enthusiastically recommend Roll-A-Shield; the quality of their service can't be beat.
Description of Work: I needed motors replaced, and other minor repairs, for two large motorized window coverings for patio doors. Even though the window coverings were not originally installed by Roll-A-Shield, they were able to get the parts and do the repairs. One of the window coverings was for a patio door in a bedroom which had no other egress windows; Roll-A-Shield was able to install a different type of motor which has a manual crank that can be used to raise the window covering during a power failure.

+ -1 moreI was very impressed with this company. They are professional and always showed up exactly when they said they would. The quality of the Roll-A-Shield is excellent. I have one unit over a small window with a hand-pull device and it is very easy to use. The other is over a patio french door and is on an electrical swith that is very nice to use. I am planning to order more in the future. They are wonderful as a security feature and when they are retracted they are not visible and the colors easily match the house. I would highly recommend them for people who want added security or to block the blazing sun of Arizona. Wonderful company to work with!
Description of Work: I met with an installer who came out to show samples of the Roll-A-Shield materials and demonstrate how they function. I was having them installed on one small window at the side of my house and across my back patio french doors. The installer went over every detail and explained the price clearly. There was no pressure to buy more than I needed,in fact he said many people install a few at a time and they are very happy to do that for their customers.

Description of Work: Very good company a bit expensive at least for us anyway. They came and measured the windows and then gave us an estimate. After that another guy came out that measured again. His measurements are the ones they use to manufacture the blinds. We did ours over about a year. They built the blinds in about 2 weeks. They are custom built for your home. When they came to install them it took them several hours to get them all up. We had 12 windows of varying sizes. Windows that are up to a certian size are hand cranked to raise and lower and once you get to a certain width the blinds are operated with electric motors so they have to splice in some switches for those on the inside. Overall they did a great install of the units. They come in colors so match them up to your house trim or something along that line. We have a light gray walls and dark gray trim so with the white shields it looks really good.

All appointments including the actual installation were right on time. The Roll a shield was the ideal solution. Incredible quality and very professional. If I wanted to do more windows, I would use them...but quality comes at a price. Their solutions are quite expensive

+ -1 moreVery well; the workmen arrived and completed the job in a few hours; they demonstrated its use and reminded me to call if concerns since work and the product itself is under warranty. Coincidentally, in July the device stopped working, and seemed stuck. The company had their employee come out and replaced the entire device. It was an unusual occurrence and they were very effective and prompt in managing the issue.
Description of Work: I had a roll-a-shield installed over my back patio window [3 glass panels of windows]. It is electronically controlled by a switch on the inner wall, and enables me to open and close the shield from the inside. I believe it has saved me hundreds of dollors already in heating and cooling my home.

+ 0 moreThe salesman was knowledgeable and patient with my questions about the system. He gave me names of others in my neighborhood for whom Roll a Shields were installed. Made trip to my home after a couple of weeks of my considering proposals from others for me to sign the contract. Installer came out to measure the space. Installers arrived first thing in the morning to install. All parties were very professional.
Description of Work: Installed an exterior Roll-a-Shield to go over front patio doors. Installed interior electric switch to raise and lower the shield. Installed manual lever to use if electric power is interrupted.

+ 0 moreGreat experience. This is my second time using Roll-a-Shield and I am consistently pleased. The estimator, Roby Culley, is very professional and knowledgeable. He's been in the business for years. The installers do a great job and put the controls wherever you want them. (I put them up high so my kids don't play with them.) The roll-a-shields provide great security, they keep the room dark for a home movie room or kids napping room and, they keep the house cooler from the sun.
