Our salesperson was deceitful. He promised us that our panels would produce more than enough energy to FULLY COVER our electric bill. In fact, he went as far as to suggest that we contract with an electic company who would BUY BACK the EXCESS energy that our panels would produce. Our panels don't even produce 1/2 as much energy as i need to cover my electric bill. Now I still have an electric bill PLUS a $250 a month contract with this company!!

I never made it to the point of purchase, but others need to be aware. I was approached by a sales consultant. After a long pitch and answering a bunch of questions, I asked him to send me or provide information in writing including details of services and sample contracts. He initially stated that he couldn't do this, but after I stated I would not do business with a company that could not do this, he left to see if he comply with my request. He came back 30 minutes later to tell me that they could not provide detailed information in writing to me. As it is typical with other experiences, the gentleman maintained professionalism, up until the time he received his final rejection and was walking away. I am staying away from any company that does not have the credibility to put their services in writing.

I am the General Manager of Pure Energy and I take customer satisfaction very seriously. We have successfully installed Solar projects for over 520 happy customers in the last 24 months and aim to please all of our customers. Furthermore, I hope that Angie’s List shows that I am responding to your review at 7:50am on a Sunday so you understand how serious we take our customer satisfaction. In response to your review, I would like to ask for your immediate help disclosing the name of the representative that came to your home. Our company tracks 100% of our energy consolations in our company CRM database and I do not show any of your information listed in our records. I also wish to express that your experience is completely contrary to our company policy. We will happily leave literature and information with customers upon their request, each and every consultant working with us has stacks of this information available to them just for that purpose. Also, I would like to personally deliver the documentation, literature and or customer references you originally asked for upon your permission. Additionally, my concern is attaining the name of the rep that misrepresented our company and compelled you to leave the review. I promise action will be taken. Please reach out to me over at the number listed blow so I can take the appropriate actions to correct your situation. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and voicing your concern. Description of Work: They came to my door, and gave me a schpeel about how there were all sorts of tax breaks and money incentives to do some energy updating and solar work--so I scheduled an appointment for a little later that week with a sales person. They no-showed, no-called--so I called them back and scheduled again--they did the same thing. I reallyl wanted to explore my energy options so I called them again, and the sales guy came--I don't remember his named, but he was very polite and professional. The solar panels (not hot water) were too expensive- but he explained to me that if I get my ducts sealed, and total weatherization done- I could get enough money back to pay for the whole 1400.00 job. I scheduled it. They didn't show up for the first installation (of which I found out later they subcontract all of their work). The manager in charge of the company who was subcontracted (global green) was very sweet and willing to please the customer. She, however, did not come to the appointment. Instead, they sent someone who was very new--and just ran a diagnostic test, and put some weather stripping around the doors. Another company was subcontracted to do the internal duct sealing (aeroseal). They hooked everything up, and turned on the sealant- which instantly filled up my basement with sealant--I had to tell them to turn off the system and seal up the holes better. Although they were very bitchy--they did it with a grumble, and turned it back on--it still leaked into my house, but not as badly. They had no ventilation set up to clear the rooms. I'm pretty sure my antiques are now covered in sealant. When they were getting ready to leave, I asked about the rebates and money incentives. They said it would probably total about 300 dollars, but didn't know for sure. All and all, I say avoid making the same costly mistakes I made--I could have probably done the same work (by plugging the holes to the outside of the house) for under 100 dollars with a lot less stress.

The door-to-door salesman Travis Swanson was very nice and informative. He arranged for a salesman to come to our home and said the consultation should be about an hour of our time and there is no obligation to buy. We had an appointment arranged at 11:30 to meet up with someone. So we arranged for the appt to start at 10:00, hopefully it would conclude by 11:00 ? 11:15am to allow us time to get to the other appointment. John came at 10:05am to pitch his information about solar hot water heater; he discussed and showed us how to caulk windows that may result in leaky AC, and sealing electric boxes/switches with foam which was very helpful. We saved a lot of money by doing the fixes ourselves for about $7; that saved us hundreds if we had a professional who came in and did the work. Despite interruptions, like phone calls and children who wanted attention, I asked John to continue without me and teach my wife about solar hot water, electric seal and duct seal. I would return shortly to catch-up; apparently, John never advanced to teach my wife about solar hot water until I returned. Therefore, lost time; had he continued, we?d be finishing up around 11:05-11:15. By 11:20, John pulled out an estimate sheet to discuss the costs of the install; apparently, time had ran out and we needed to go to our next appointment. John asked for 20 more minutes, when we told him no, he was angry. A salesman should have said ok and asked about making another appointment at a later date so we can finish the consultation, hand out his card and cheerfully leave. In John?s case, he shook hands with us, walked out and tossed his briefcase into the car and drove off which didn?t seem very professional with us. The products were ideal and we plan to make the home energy efficient over time.
