Chris was friendly and professional. He estimated the repairs to be between $400 - $500. The repairs cost $500. He worked for about 7 hours on the damaged furniture. The couch turned out really well, Chair 2 looks ok but Chair 1 doesn't look good at all. I think Chris is good at handling small repairs.

Chris Herlms is an artist when it comes to leather restoration. After an operation our dear old cat got blood on a footstool that matches a very nice chair. I found Phoenix Leather Guy on Angie's List and sent him some photos. Chris responded quickly and was able to give me a quote over the phone. He came to our home, further assessed the project and completed it in under an hour. The result is truly amazing! The footstool looks almost brand new! The only downside is that the footstool looks so good that we will have to clean and condition the chair, but Chris has products to allow us to do that ourselves. What a positive experience. A relatively small investment saves us having to replace a beautiful, expensive chair and footstool. Well done!

Chris came out to my house and gave me an estimate for refinishing a leather sofa and chair. He seed nice but a little scattered. After some some back and forth with our schedules we agreed for him to come back on a Sunday and do the work in my garage. The morning of our appointment I hadn't heard from him so I texted at 8:45am and asked when he was coming. He promptly replied he would be there by 10:00. Originally said he would be there by 9:00am but being an hour wasnt a big deal to me. My surprise came at 9:45am when he called me and said he was still at home and wouldn't be coming today. He said he hurt his neck and could not work. Why then did he just text me an hour earlier and say he was on his way? Anyway we agreed to reschedule for the following Wednesday morning. I didn't have a lot of confidence at that point, and sure enough the morning of the new appointment he called me and said he was sick and couldn't work. He rambled on with so many excuses I couldn't even get a word in. I had no confidence in him at that point and opted to go elsewhere. The bottom line is that Chris is a nice enough guy but came off very disorganized and unreliable. I couldn't shake the feeling that he just didn't want t to do the job. He also never gave me a written estimate which was a big red flag also. I promptly called another leather repair company who came out and took our furniture for repair the same day with no problems.

I could not afford to replace the set, so I called Phoenix Leather Guy. I was impressed with the professionalism and knowledge Chris offered and went on to have the cushions replaced and the Leather cleaned and conditioned. It was a day long process, and very worth the time to complete. I love the way my living room set looks, it is also very comfortable to sit on again. I would not hesitate to use the company again.
