Description of Work: I had a new AC/Heat unit installed. They were prompt, and very professional in their installation and they do excellent follow-up on the unit, making a minimum of 4 seasonal inspections. They even provided photos of the unit's various parts so that I could see how it was operating without my having to go up on the roof to see. Peterson's is my "go to" service whenever I need anything for heating or cooling.

Description of Work: I had used them last year and really appreciated the service and advice---- this time what a long day 12 hours and still not done--- left screws on garage floor, left trash in yard, left my garden hose draped over fence and water on. I still have insulation blowing out my ducts--- but love the new ac--- a TRANE--- and am saving tons on SRP bill

Description of Work: Purchased an annual HVAC Service Agreement for $88 and scheduled the spring visit. The Fall visit is still due and available for later this year. The technician called ahead to advise us that he was hung up on the job previous to our appointment and would unfortunately be a little late to our appointment and asked if this would still be convenient for us. He gave us an arrival time of 30 min. later and still showed up 15 min. before then! Very professional. Upon arrival he explained everything he was planning to do and allowed me to watch over his shoulder. He conducted tests and inspections of just about everything. He explained everything and answered all my questions long the way. He was very specific while testing the refrigerant pressure and the hazards and value to the gauges he was using to minimize any loss or contamination. Honestly, I was expecting an upsell, and when he gave his final report, his recommendations were fully explained and consequences explained if we put them off. He explained that each item could probably be put off until fall when they had a chance to re-evaluate everything during the fall inspection (included in package), however, he insured I understood that circumstances could change between now and then. If every technician from this company is this knowledgable and thorough, I can see no reason you should not use them!

They seemed to be real honest. They came out and gave me an honest analysis of my air conditioner and I felt real good with what they told me. I didn't need any work done right now, but may be in the future. It was a $60 service call. They just seem to be real honest and straight forward. I didn't deal with them a lot. I didn't really use them much. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They recharged the gas in the air conditioner. They were quite professional and their prices were reasonable. I was quite happy with them.

Description of Work: My large ac unit went out on our house... I called Deer Valley Mechanical and Kris came out to bid on a new unit. He was on time and I enjoyed talking with him. He gave me lots of options and took time with me to explain the pros and cons of those options. By the time he left I was very well informed of my choices with his company. His prices were very competitive with the other bids. The equipment they use is a Lennox so they are using a good company that isn't overpriced like Trane's are (in my humble opinion) and their warranty's were very good also. the reason I did not go with this company for a complete install was only because we were forced because of money to install just the outside ground compressor and remain with R22. Our financial state didn't afford us the luxury of putting in the entire unit. Deer Valley Mechanical did not offer that option so I had to find a company who did.

Deer Valley Mechanical (DVM) was the lowest of three bidders; they had the best reputation with the Registrar of Contractors (ROC), Better Business Bureau (BBB), and online reviews; they offered all brands; and they were the most professional and helpful to us in making a decision. Adam, the sales manager, arrived on the same day we called. Because the phone screening was so thorough in obtaining technical information from us, and because DVM had worked in our neighborhood, Adam knew enough about our house to be prepared with three printed quotes and supporting literature for three different systems. The different systems had different specs and different price ranges (we chose the highest-price option that offered the longest life span). We chose a Lennox system because (1) they test their systems before shipping to dealers, and (2) they won the Good Housekeeping Seal. Adam spent two hours explaining how the quoted systems and other systems work, and what the tradeoffs would be. He also answered all of our questions. On installation day (three days after we placed our order) the two DVM installers arrived exactly on time, at 7:30 a.m., and finished the job within the estimated one-day time frame (9 1/2 hours). The installers were knowledgeable, competent, friendly and clean: they protected our floors with tarps and cardboard; removed all old equipment; cleaned up both inside and outside; showed us how to set the new thermostat; and tested everything before they left. NOTE: We got three quotes for this project. They were so wide-ranging for similar systems that we called the manufacturer for an explanation. The Lennox representative said: ?Buyer beware...It?s like buying a car...Dealers can sell these units at any price they want; you have to get multiple estimates and do your homework.? He also said that dealers tend to be competitive in the same area--we did not find that to be the case in our area (Peoria, Arizona)--the other two dealers we met seemed to expect that buyers would not compare prices or check reputations. We highly recommend that you follow the Lennox rep?s advice for any system you?re considering, and that you call Deer Valley Mechanical for one of your estimates--remember, they carry all brands.
Description of Work: $8225 before rebates and tax credit ($5650 after rebates & tax credit) Deer Valley Mechanical (DVM) replaced the air conditioner, coil, and furnace with a Lennox 5-ton, 2-stage split system (gas-furnace/electric AC). This included removal and disposal of old system, installation of new, complete system with all new electrical disconnect, fuses, electrical whips at condenser, new rubber iso pads under condenser, new gas line shut-off valve at furnace, new condensate drain line with p-trap at coil, new condensate drain pan under coil, new supply plenum at coil/furnace, new bar-style return grill, new touch screen programmable thermostat, and one year of preventative-maintenance services. The price we paid up front is BEFORE rebates from APS and the manufacturer, and the 2010 Energy Star federal tax credit--the total cost to us will be $5650.
