Raymon and Jeremy were the young men who performed the work. They were a pleasure to have in our home. They had never dealt with our particular problem, and didn't know the scope of the problem walking in. They struggled and worked 10 hour days two days and two 8 hr days. They did a pretty fair job, and they worked so hard and were professional. Short of having to have the whole house re-textured, I think they did the best they could, and we were pleased with their work. We would hire Marcel again. I do think the man who estimated the job and saw the problem did not adequately prepare them for what they were to face.

THEY PAINTED THE CEILING THE WRONG COLOR, THE SALESMEN SAID THE FOREMAN DID NOT LOOK AT THE ORDER CORRECTLY,POOR QUALITY WORKMANSHIP ON THE WHOLE INTERIOR OF THE HOME, THE OWNER IS NOT IN CONTROL OF CREW.

Marcel painters showed up on time and left my property clean when they left. The foreman brought several samples of paint color and painted them on my wall. This was wonderful for me, because I was able to choose the color I wanted, because picking the right color is always hard for me. I have four large dogs, and Marcel painters worked around my schedule so that I could keep the dogs in the house while they painted the part of the house in the dog yard. The painters worked for three days to complete this job and were willing to paint all of the small spots that I pointed out to them. My home now looks beautifully new. I am completely satisfied. I did not pay them until they were completely finished. I recommend this company and will use them the next time my house needs painting.

My initial call was returned promptly by a sales manager. An appointment was scheduled for an estimate on painting the interior of my home. I received a voicemail on the scheduled day cancelling the appointment. I called back 2x within minutes and left messages both times. This was 3 weeks ago and they have never returned my call. Apparently they don't need my business, so fortunately for them, I've hired someone else!

Got the Exterior painting done for my house. They did an awesome job! The price was great and the service even better.Would highly recommend.

I contacted Marcel Painting from Angie's list. Kelly arrived promptly and actually had to wait for me. He was very patient as we walked the property. He asked appropriate questions and pointed out areas of concern and made good suggestions. His proposal was prepared quickly and Kelly responded to all emails and phone calls in a timely fashion. For various reasons we went with another contractor for this particular bid, but I will not hesitate to contact him again in the future if the opportunity permits.

They did a great job. He did everything he said he would do with the exception of one thing, which wasn't a big deal. There were a couple of things that I didn't like. I specifically asked the owner and foreman to drop down the fixtures in the ceiling and paint under it. Thy both said they would and they just painted around it. I would use him again.

I selected Marcel Painting after reviewing 3 bids from highly rated companies via Angie's List. Kelly Mardis was prompt in completing the bid and more thorough than his competitors in his description of the work to be performed, which put me at ease. I was also happy to know that full payment is due only after completion of the project and a final walk through by Kelly. Marcel painting was also highly recommended by an A+ rated landscape company which I hired to re-do the landscape in conjunction with the exterior paint. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The painters arrived on time each day, explained what work would be completed daily and answered all of my questions. They were courteous, professional and meticulous about their work. There was no opportunity to say "you missed a spot." The house and gates look brand new and I'm thoroughly enjoying all of the compliments of my neighbors. Thank you Marcel Painting! They failed to tape off the windows and fixtures before spraying. This left us with a tremendous amount of over-spray clean up work to do. The actual painting was terrible with runs throughout the house, missing spots and walls that were multi-colored from the over-spray of different paint colors. The kitchen cabinets were not sanded prior to painting so they look like crap with runs and bumps everywhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid this contractor at all costs. This is the worst painting contractor I have ever hired!

I had a very short window of when I could have the work done because I had all of my furniture out to do my floors and I decided to paint the room before it came back in. Marcel Painting got right back with me and slotted me in. They showed up early, kept everything clean and had no problem working around and with the workmen who were installing baseboards at the same time. The room was painted perfectly, no drips or paint on anything but the walls. They even swept my floor before they left. I was very pleased.

I called Marcel Painting on a Friday at about 10am and the owner Kelly Mardis was there that afternoon. Within less than a week of receiving and accepting the quote from Marcel Paining our house was painted and might I say the staff at Marcel?s did a beautiful job. I can?t say enough for their professionalism; they started the job on time and finished on scheduled for the quoted price. As promised at the end of day one of a two day job all trash and work related debris were cleaned up with tools and materials stored neatly and out of sight. The foreman let us know when the crew would arrive on day two so we could have our cars moved and let our Neighbors know to move their cars as well as to not get any over spray on them. As the job progressed there were a few minor things that needed attention, as promised by the owner all we had to do was tell the foreman and it was taken care of immediately? By the end of day two about 2:30 or 3:00pm the site was cleaned up and we made our final inspection. Want a beautiful paint job done call Marcel Painting. Kelly Marcel is the name of the owner. The owner is involved in the work and is on top of everything. He is very consciousness. It is difficult to do the work in my house, but he made sure it was done well. His quote is reasonable than other companies I checked out. He made the work happen. I would use them in the future.

Melissa arrived on time for estimate and worked with me to get the price competitive to previous estimates. Gave me the Angies List $100 discount and a discount for paying cash. Raul did a great job painting my house and was very thorough. He and his helper worked tirelessly from the time they arrived until the job was done. I was very nervous at the beginning about the color but Raul assured me from the start that it would look great and it did. I was very impressed with this young man who seemed to be a very happy person - laughing often and his partner whistled most of the time. Just a couple of happy guys who liked what they were doing. I think it made a difference. Thank you Raul.

I was trying to arange to have Marcel Painters give me an estimates to paint the exterior of my house and to perform succo work and painting of my yard walls. Noby answer the phone and I left a message with my name and phone number. I called again two days later after not hearing back from them and again only got their voicemail. I received a call later that day from her saying that she was in he car coming home from a class in Tucson and that she will call me around 6:30 PM that same day. My wife and I kept two phones near us the rest of the evening and did not get a call back. When I got home from work the next day, my answering maching had a message from Marcel Painters saying that they tried to call the evening before and nobody answered the phone. I checked my phone and there were no missed calls on it and there were no messages on our answering machine. I'll leave the conclusion up to you, but what she said about calling and not being answered is a far from being professional.

Estimate was provided promptly and spent extra time matching stain as closely as possible. When door stain didn't match, they returned to paint supplier several times until thwe match was close. Door was problematical due to weather damage but they returned several times to be sure it was completed to our satifaction. Overall we were very satisfied and recommend them highly.

Overall the experience was good. Kelly from Marcel gave me a fair and accurate estimate which beat (by far) the estimate from a local guy with a smaller business which surprised me. The only negative was that one day 2 guys showed up which hadn't been on the job the prior days. They weren't familiar with my expectations that I previously explained to the first guys so that was a little annoying and caused some minor rework. But all the issues were addressed and corrected and I would use them again.

They responded immediately. The guy was super good. He very responsive and gave me a quote on site. It was very fair. The owner himself came out. He was very courteous and very professional.

Kelly Mardis came out on a Saturday in mid-October, and took about 30 minutes to measure my property, look it over and give me an estimate. The estimate came in at the low-end of the four estimates I received. This was a pleasant surprise, as their Angie's List ratings were very high. The supervisor of the crew showed up right on time on Monday morning to begin the prep, and the rest of his crew followed shortly thereafter. The crew worked hard and got the job done in about three days. I took about 20 - 30 minutes to inspect the job upon completion, focusing on the stucco walls of the house, where I expected to find the most problems. The supervisor on the crew gave me his direct line, and told me to call him if I noticed any problems. A few days after they finished, I noticed a serious problem. Namely, the crew missed some spots, especially portions of the soffit on the house and garage, as well some areas of the cinder block walls and pony walls. I had missed these on my initial inspection, and called the supervisor directly when I noticed them. He was very responsive, and made a time to come out with a crew and fix the problem. They arrived on time, and spent 30 - 45 minutes fixing the problems I pointed out. I inspected their work and was satisfied. Within the next week, I started to notice a subtle problem with the paint coverage. In certain spots, it appeared as if the sprayer had not completely covered the walls, leaving the old paint visible in spots. It appeared that the painter using the sprayer had only done one coat instead of the promised cross-hatched pattern, that is painting vertically, then horizontally. The problem was only visible when the sun was not shining directly on the house. The more I looked for this problem, the more I found it. At that point, I called Kelly, and asked him to come out and look at it, which he did the next day. He agreed that the problem existed, and promised that a crew would be out the next day. Kelly believed the problem was caused by a new crew member who was inadequately trained. The crew and Kelly came on time as promised, and spent about 2 hours repainting portions of the house. After inspection, I was satisfied. I have mixed emotions about writing this. I salute Marcel Painting's overall responsiveness, but have reservations about the quality of their work. I wish they had gotten the job done right the first, or even the second time. I share some of the responsibility because I should have inspected more closely, and called Kelly the first time I discovered the problem, rather than waiting until the second problem arose. However, I can say that I am now completely satisfied with the paint job.

No stress and no fuss. I picked out the colors and they came and power washed the house, did the minor repairs, and painted the house. Both days took about 6-7 hours.
