GRASS GUYS

For a basic lawn service, Grass Guys were great. Easy to contact and did good work. I ended up changing lawn service because I needed someone to do weeds and trimming as well.

We used him last summer and we've been trying to get them to come back, apparently there was some change in staff. I got a call this weekend from a guy who will hopefully start us back up. It was okay last summer, I didn't have any issues. We don't keep the winter grass going, we don't do winter grass, so we stopped it for that. We had a hard time getting ahold of somebody by phone. They were fine. You know, pretty reasonably priced, we just had the front yard cut and trimmed for $40 a month, which is basically twenty dollars every two weeks. We thought that was pretty darn reasonable. We're hoping to get them going back this summer. They were always punctual, they were always here every two weeks, and they did a decent job on it. They don't trim trees or bushes or anything like that but we didn't have any of that to do. They would show up and cut our front lawn, trim it and blow it, so everything was clean and picked up. We were happy with their service, which is why we're trying to get them back. So far so good. We were playing phone tag for a while, and the guy who finally called us back said that the one my husband had dealt with had moved on to a different job, so somebody else has taken over. So, like I said, they were playing phone tag and the guy left a message on my husband's cell phone that they would like to try to get the service started again, so hopefully we'll be talking to them in the next day or so. They have different services, you can do it different amounts of times. For us it was $40 a month, they came every two weeks, and I thought that was reasonable. I am hoping they'll be the same this year too. The first time that we used them there was a sprinkler head that wasn't working right and they fixed it, I mean, that was a thing that was over and above. I don't think they charged for that. I thought it was kind of nice of them. But they are pretty basic, they just stick with cutting lawns. The service last summer was great, you could count on them, there's a couple of different ways to pay, they would send us our statement via email and I would print it out. I am not big on people doing an auto-withdrawal from your chequing account, and that was an option, but you also had the option for a few dollars more to print it off and mail it in ourselves, so that was good. We found out about them because they put flyers on our door. As far as doing it on time and being reliable it was great. The quality was maybe just, you know, it seemed like there was some unevenness in the grass or, they were not, they didn't do an impeccable job, but the kept the HOA off of our backs! They could have been a bit more fastidious.

Their prices are excellent. It's very reasonable. I have no complaints with them.

-customer service: mediocre for this my experience with this bi weekly cutting and yard care service, monthly to month agreement. - they cut grass during strong rain fall (did this twice in one month). would not pick up the clumped grass that dropped from mower housing from all the moisture even though it was all over the yard. -rarely answers phone even though cell phone costs are way down. -calls are not returned in a timely manner -the management is not in sync with each other about the individual property's description and needs. -to sum up: they were great 50% of the time. I'd rather do visit with more respect for my hard earned money. If the work is good 100% of the time that surely beats great work 50% of the time in my book.

We have been using them about 6 months and we are very happy. Everyone is fluent in English, which is an extra bonus when you are communicating with landscaping folks.

They are really good. I have some glitches that we are working out with them. They seem like nice people. I would recommend them and I am currently using them.
