Description of Work: On first visit the provider actually called ahead and came early. He didn't have the part to fix my washer but set it up so it would temporarily work. So he set up and appointment the following week to install the part. Jimmy arrived on time and gave me other advice about my washer and dryer. Great guy and great job.

Description of Work: Ernie came out to repair my GE front load washing machine. I phoned E & J because my machine started smoking and had the smell of burning rubber. When Ernie took my machine apart and checked it thoroughly, he stated that there was no issues and explained what could have caused the problem. He took the time to show both my husband and myself the belt and other do dads inside. He put my mind at ease about what was going on. So for a mere $69.00 I got washing machine therapy and education. I'm sure others would have been happy to replace parts unnecessarily! Thanks Ernie!

Description of Work: The owner himself came out to diagnose the condition of our upright frost free freezer that wasn't freezing. He had to come back a second time and do further testing, as what he originally diagnosed, didn't cure the problem. He decided the reed valves in the sealed compressor were not working and it would need a new compressor. The freezer was only 3 years old and was out of warranty. He was honest and said we could buy a new freezer for what it would cost us to have this one repaired. We bought a new, larger capacity freezer and it is working great. This man is HONEST and did a good job, reasonably.

Description of Work: Dishwasher was not getting dishes clean and had a lot of hard water build up in it. Technician took it apart and tried cleaning it out. He thought it might have to be replaced, but he kept working at it and managed to get all the passages cleaned out, then ran it with cleaning solutions and gave us instructions on what to use to prevent problems in the future. Saved us the cost of a new dishwasher and it works better now than it has in years.

Description of Work: Brad showed up a little earlier than promised and was able to show me what was wrong and why and what it would cost to fix it. A leaky hose had dripped on the computer parts of my washer and basically ruined the part. I knew he was telling the truth as I had observed where the leak was basically coming from and the problems it had caused. It would cost $480.00 to repair a five year old washer, when a new one would cost $800 - $1000 or I could purchase a less expensive one for what the repair would be. I chose not to repair it and he only charged the trip charge (minus the $10 Angie coupon) when he could have charged more. He recommended Spencer's TV and Appliance. I could have purchased a new washer anywhere (I bought the last one at Costco) but I decided to try his recommend. I had not bought at Spencer's in the past and I had regretted that decision. The person he recommended seeing at the San Tan Spencer's was Rob Martin.He got me a deal of $200.00 less than Lowe's and another one store, which I had priced. I was thrilled with the price and customer service at both Spencer's (San Tan) TV & Appliance (Rob Martin) and E & J Appliance Repair (Brad). Excellent customer service is rare these days but not at these two businesses. It was a pleasure (except for the cost) dealing with Brad and Rob.

Description of Work: Kitchenaid dishwasher drained/filled water, but wouldn't wash the dishes. E&J diagnosed as bad motor due to calcium buildup (visible once motor was removed). They had the replacement part ON HAND ahead of time and did the whole job in about an hour, hour and a half. Exactly the kind of top-shelf service I was looking for. Will use again for sure.

Description of Work: I phoned for information regarding my 10 year old Frigidaire freezer. The woman who answered my call was very helpful and gave me information to help me decide that the appliance wasn't worth the cost of the service call and any repair that might result. I appreciated her honesty.

Description of Work: Diagnosed and repaired my Whirlpool Duet washer. It had been leaking and stopping after a few minutes and initially the repairman thought it was a switch but after a thorough exam found it to be a small hose with a hole in it which was confusing the sensor switch into thinking the washer was either not filling with enough water or something of that sort. He cleaned out the filter (which I didn't even know was there - behind front panel and involving hoisting up machine to remove the screws holding it in place) and it was full of money and nails -the nails probably being the culprit that poked a hole in the hose. The whole thing took less than 30 minutes and he was so informative and professional. I will always come to this company for any other appliance problems.
