She called back that night and explained how she will be working. She takes pictures of the doors and will take notations. She explains all procedures and the husband works out all the details.

Rose in the office was very nice to deal with. The 3 guys turned up on the day on time. Josh was clear in his communication as to what was happening. They did a lovely professional job and left no mess. Wish more contractors could be like this.

It went VERY well. Don was able to squeeze me into the schedule so I could have the work done before some out of town guests arrived. The door was in really bad shape and needed a lot of work to smooth it out. When he got to the point of putting on the new stain we discussed my preferences and he made the stain right there. He adjusted it for me once. After applying a coat and seeing the whole door I thought it could go a little darker. At this point another person may have shown a bit of impatience with me because of my request. Instead he said he'd be happy to do that, but he thought it might be too dark once it got back on the door frame-- then he offered to bring the door to where it would be so I could see the color inside my house. Wonderful!! He was right. I am very happy with the results. He cleaned up his worksite before leaving. I would recommend Desert Rose to anyone who needs this kind of work to be done.

From the first contact with Rose via phone, to the estimate, to the actual work, Desert Rose Door Refinishing was a pleasure to work with. The workers arrived on time, took great care to remove the doors and cover the opening with plastic to keep the heat in the house. They set up their work area in the street so no mess / stain would get on the driveway. There were three workers who worked non-stop for 6 hours stripping, sanding, patching and staining the doors. The doors look brand new and I couldn't be happier with the work and would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family. Thank you for the fantastic job!!

The crew of three was prompt , professional and hardworking. They set up a covered area on the street and worked from about 8 am to 4 pm on a very hot day. The results were spectacular. We have had so many complements from neighbors and visitors. The inside of the door now looks like a piece of expensive furniture. Very pleased.

The provider was much to expensive, I have 7 out side doors two bathroom very small two fixed doors small one that opens two that open, many windows in all doors not much wood to be redone. If you taped the windows little wood to be finished.

I'm one of those people who gets 3-5 estimates on all the jobs I have done on my house. I chose Don at Desert Rose to refinish my door for a couple of reasons. First, Rose (his wife, and quot;Desert Roseand quot;) actually came out to my house and took pictures of my door within 48 hours of my initial call. Second, Don himself called me with the estimate and gave me a detailed explanation of the process he would be using to refinish my door, which was extremely water damaged on the outside. I had previously been told the door couldn't be refinished. Don and his assistant, Matt, showed up when they were supposed to, and got right to work. After taking the door off the hinges and installing plastic over the doorway to keep in my air conditioning, they set up in my driveway, which was cool because I could wander outside from time to time and see the progress. It was fascinating to watch my and quot;newand quot; door take shape. After approximately six hours, the door was refinished on both the outside and the inside and re-hung, and their work area was completely cleaned up. The door is gorgeous! We had to go a little darker because of the few, small remaining water stains that were too deep to sand out, but it looks great with my entry way. Don even advised me on new hardware, which also looks wonderful. I would recommend Desert Rose Doors to anyone who asks. Don is truly a craftsman, and Rose has the nicest phone personality I have encountered in a very long time. Working with them was a great experience from start to finish.

We have a mahogany front door that is 25 years old and nothing has ever been done to it. From previous owners and changing out hardware it had holes through to the outside, was dry, off kilter and generally in bad shape. After Desert Rose was done with it, it looks like brand new! Tthey were friendly, courteous and did a GREAT job. It will be good for many years to come.

They were on time and did a great job. They were everything you would want. I would most definitely use them again for sure.

I am a perfectionist and Desert Rose exceeded my expectations. The crew was cordial, professional and loved their jobs. They explained what they would be doing and answered my questions along the way. Scott is a fantastic mixologist. My door was standard varnished oak (ugly!), but I had recently installed Bellawood Brazilian Mesquite on my stairs and an Italian porcelain tile in the entrance hall. Scott mixed a color that almost makes the door look like Brazilian Mesquite - an unbelievable finished product. Everyone in our HOA will get a note from us about this great company!

They arrived promptly at 7:30 AM as they said they would. They immediately went to work on providing protection to the interior of the house, the front hallway, so that no dust or bugs/intruders could get into the house. They immediately removed the door and went to work on sanding the entire door (which was difficult because it's tambor) and the door surround. They evened out the top hinge attachment. They were extremely thorough. It took them 7 hours to complete the job, just as they predicted. They brought everything they needed and a crew of 4 people who were working the entire time, outside doing what needed to be done. They cleaned-up behind them and put in fresh weather stripping. They take pride in their work which I haven't seen in ages. It was a great experience. I will definitely use them again and will recommend.

They were courteous and incredibly professional. It was absolutely stunning. I was very impressed and I am not impressed easily. The work is perfect.

the two workers arrived as promised between 7 and 8 am. they removed the door and covered the opening with a haevy plastic sealing the edges to minimize the loss of air conditioning from inside the house. They set up and got to work right away and kept appraised on their progress and any challenges they found with the door that was almost 30 years old. they worked quickly and produce an excellent finished product

Desert Rose arrived on-time and performed the work as stated. They were very professional and completed the job faster than we thought possible. Door looks great. 20 years of weather were removed and the varnish and sealer matched the rest of the door great.

The crew showed up on time and ready to go to work. They "set up shop" with their own tent to protect the door while work was being done. They took extreme care with the hardware and protecting multiple windows in the surrounding trim frame. There was an issue with the re-installation of our quirky front door lock and Don came out the next morning to get it sorted. The door looks brand new! Would definitely hire this company again and recommend it to anyone interested in a professionally done quality job!

I would not use a co that is not responsive

The people that came out were very efficient and polite. The price seemed a little high for finishing a single side of the front door, but they brought everything they needed. They brought their own generator and tent-top. They were so prepared.

They did a fine job and were extremely professional and helpful. I felt very comfortable with them and the price they charged was good. They were extremely busy; so we worked in their schedule.

This was an amazing experience. The entire process took a single day. Desert Rose came to the house and set up their "workshop" in our driveway. They answered questions about the processes they were using. They suggested what kind of finish would look best, as well as what kind of hardware would complement the doors. These doors were in terrible shape (an old, foreclosed and abandoned home). Now they are beautiful and probably better than new.

This was not a painless process but well worth it in the end.
