Service industry is a tough bit. Especially when it comes to the customer service area. How do you satisfy dissatisfaction with a customer? As a fellow business owner in the service area; I have had my fair share of clients. And of course, I have had a small percentage of dissatisfied customers. What business hasn’t? Be that as it may the phrase “customer is always right” comes to mind. But as a fellow business owner I also have had to stand my ground against clients who were just way too critical or just creating fabrications. Be that as it may I still try to make efforts to meet them halfway. With that here is my review of Dazzle Clean Professional Cleaners. What was supposed to be a valentines day gift to my wife (who has sporadic negative episodes related to her health). Turned into a bait and switch which upset my wife and ruined the valentines day gift. Over several phone calls from mid-February to April 21. I received phone calls from the owner about the proposed cleaning. In all honesty I heard what he had to say but managing my business affairs takes a higher priority when recalling an entire phone conversation about a service that’s pretty simple such as cleaning your house. 6 hours worth of work possible 2 staff members. Lets be very clear here. THEY CHARGE PER EMPLOYEE PER HOUR. Ignore all verbiage type of written promotions. 6 hours of cleaning does not mean they will be there from 10am – 4pm with 1 or 2 people. If they do what they did to me. Show up with FOUR people without NO ADVISEMENT of how many people he was bringing beforehand. The owner may tell you well I called and told you that 6 hours wasn’t going to be enough. My response was that’s ok (figuring that probably it will take an hour more from the original 6 hours I prepaid). He didn’t give me an estimate of how much total the project was going to be even though he knew beforehand all the details I wanted. He should have stated that the project was going to TRIPLE in price! At that point I would have told him just cancel my appointment and return me my money. But for some strange reason this business owner didn’t do that for obvious reasons. Oh and when they say deep cleaning. They really don’t mean deep cleaning. At least not compared to other services we have used. How do you not include cleaning the inside of an oven in deep cleaning? Bait and switch. So ONE star removed for mismanagement. Cleaning portion was ok if you ignore their own use of words of cleaning from top to bottom. Apparently the valances that go on top of window blinds don’t count because they didn’t touch those…..at all. Certain cabinets that weren’t high and not even attached were left dusty on top probably because they had only one stool and most of the workers were short. Some just went around the items and didn’t bother moving the trinkets or decorations that were on top. We have oil rubbed bronze finishes. Soap scum on fixtures sticks out like a sore thumb. Bottom of almost every sink. They didn’t bother to remove the soap scum. It can be removed with a fingernail. But apparently that isn’t part of the deep cleaning. One more star removed for a failed “deep cleaning” Lets talk about damage. Broke one of the plastic supports that holds the blinds over a door window. Didn’t bother to mention it until I had to bring it up. Response: “oh sorry don’t know how that happened”. At the time when I thought I wasn’t going to pay extra. I figured I let him know its not a big deal I can take care of it. He was surprised and appreciative. I changed my tune when he told me how much more he was going to charge me for the cleaning services. I told him for that price I expect him to get it fixed. He then tried to counter that he was going to charge me the full rate because apparently he gave me a discount of $5 less per hour per worker for the damage. Which equated to about a $55 savings. I then figured it was going to take him an hour to go to hardware store pick up the part. Come back and install it. A crew of 4 working at $30/hour tied up for one hour is $120. Cost the company more but whatever. Owner doesn’t really have a shrewd business mind. Also DON’T let them touch your blinds! They will damage them. Perhaps the owner knows how to raise them but the workers DON’T. Several of my blinds now have issues with raising and lowering. In fact one was pulled so hard that he had to get a thin flat head screwdriver to be able to lower the blind. One star removed for damage! Theft. By this time my wife and I are upset to the point where anything they did is scrutinized. So stealing a squeegee that was in our shower just kind of put us over the top. Squeegee was maybe $5 but I really don’t care at this point. Stealing is stealing. I even brought it up with the wife when she called demanding payment for the services. She nonchalantly ignored it and said we still needed to pay. Ok. One more star removed for theft! I warned her as I warned her husband before that I will be leaving feedback on their company. She said that’s ok but asked that I include that her husband spoke to me and explained certain things. Which I am doing now. As I verbally explained to the owner that he really should rethink his manner of explaining his services. Rethink the way his pricing structure is displayed on his paperwork. If your fees are $30/hr per employee. Then have that as your headline. Don’t do this “6 hours of cleaning” bit. Because when they show up to your door with FOUR people without ANY advisement of that many people. Yeah that $30/hr racks up real quick. Bait and switch. At least have the decency to advise at 1.5 hours into the cleaning that what was prepaid is all used up and if we want to continue? But nope. He rather not say anything to rack up time and money. Deceptive marketing. This owner didn’t even have me sign his agreement that I didn’t realize I had to sign till afterwards. So technically I didn’t have to pay because I didn’t sign ANYTHING! But I have my ethics. This company unfortunately has very few….. P.S. they said they would come back and fix and clean but we really dont want them back in our house again. Done with this company.

You are correct the service industry is a though one, specially the residential cleaning where there is an unfair competition from "the next door cleaning lady" which drop rates to uncompetitive levels and make the professional rates look like out of this world. It is impossible to fairly compete with them, we offer different values. As a professional company we have to put our client's interest ahead of anything else, by paying taxes, insurance, bonds, and many other expenses. Than said I'll proceed to respond to the many points you brought up in your review as I recall them. Your service was scheduled [Member Information Removed] our automatic booking system online in February when we were running a Valentine's special which offered 6 hrs of cleaning plus a dozen of roses for $149.00. When you did this you filled out a questioner which includes explanation of many of the points you mentioned on your review. -The type of cleaning I'm interested in is a: Dee one time -I want the team to take care of: my full house -My house is this big: 3001-4000 sq ft -How many bed rooms? (count offices as bedroom): 5 How many bathrooms?: 3-3.5 -4 labor hrs w/2 people = 2 hrs of cleaning, 6 labor hrs w/2 people = 3 hrs of cleaning, 8 labor hrs w/2 people = 4 hrs of cleaning, ETC.: yes -I have to use all labor-hours in one day.: yes -Deal does not guarantee a full cleaning of the property; time required for a full cleaning will vary due to content, size and condition of property.: yes -If more time than what I purchased is needed time will be charged at the regular $30.00 per person/hour: yes You had scheduled it for the beginning of March and as it is our procedure I called 3 days prior to service to confirm the date and service you requested and in that call you mentioned not remembering that the service was scheduled for that day and you requested a change of date which we honor and made the change on our schedule. By this time you had received a couple of confirmation and rescheduling emails which included a link to our explanation of service document. In which everything related to the way we do things is explained, including a check list of things done in our service and price for our hourly rate when exceeding the purchased time. Which if you do the simple math it ends up being the same with one or four people doing your service (one person 6 hrs, 2 persons 3 hrs, 3 persons 2 hrs, 4 persons 1.5 hrs.) it will be a longer service but it will be the same time of cleaning. So when I confirmed your service for the second time I went over the answers you had given on our questioner and you even asked if this will be a deep clean, my response was "we'll do a deep clean if that is what you like, it is up to you". I also mentioned that with the information you provided (sq. footage, type of cleaning and the time you had bought) there would be extra charges and you said "yes that is OK". That to me is an approval to do the service as you requested. I also asked if you had read the document I had sent and your response was "yes we read through it" and again when we arrived at your home I asked what you had in mind and you described what you wanted and again I said that the time you purchased was not sufficient, and again you said "It's OK" another confirmation of service. So we went ahead and started without hesitation. But by your own words "...In all honestly I heard what he had to say but managing my business affairs takes a higher priority..." that tells me now that all you did was say yes but did not actually read or listened to what I explained. It turns out that no business or service is a " pretty simple..." We do not "bait and switch", we explain everything ahead of time many times with calls, in person and in WRITING. I highly recommend you to read any and all documents that a service provider gives you prior to accepting the service to prevent any frustration, disappointments on your part and to prevent you from wasting your time away from your business when having to write such a long review and on top of things to accuse a business of mismanagement. For a full disclosure, if anyone reading this review is interested on receiving a copy of the document that was provided please let me know and I'll be glad to send a copy. Regarding the quality of service, I appreciate you letting us know where we failed that provides us information to better our services. We will keep an eye on the specifics you had mentioned including valances, soap scum built up and cabinetry. We would have been happy to come back and take care of the items you mentioned. As much as we train and go through systems and procedures, we are still humans. We do uor best to cover every item in our services but unfortunately we do miss some and that is why we back our work with our guarantee, 100% satisfaction guarantee which I offered immediately after you told me about the things we missed but unfortunately you refused to take advantage of it. Regarding your comment "...most of the workers were short", our company does not discriminate in any way as long as the person is capable of doing the job complying with the safety measures that we require and what the law requires. I find it discriminatory on your part to say that. Regarding your comments about the damages. Our company is insured and bonded in case of major damages, in cases like yours we are happy to repair, replace or pay for damages when caused by our negligence. The situation about the blinds bracket was unknown to me until you brought it to my attention and when I said "I don't know what to tell you" was in regards to not knowing when or how it happened but never in a way of not caring or wanting to take care of the item. I offer to go to home depot because that is the right thing to do as a business owner that knows that in the best interest of his business he needs to take care of the client's property since it was damaged during our service without caring of the cost, simply wanting to do the right thing. I appreciated your gesture of telling me not to worry about it and with that I decide that the best thing to do was to provide you with a discount which as you mentioned wa $55.00 off your service much mor that the $5.00 of the cost of the blind bracket we needed to replace, but once you changed your mind about letting it slide I explained that if that was your choice I would have to charge full rate. Not because I don't have a "shrewd business mind" just because that is the right thing t do. And regarding your idea of making it inconvenient and expensive to me or the company just because in your mind we were misleading with our price structure, is despicable. We are just trying to do the right thing for you as a client and for our company without a hidden agenda. And finally the theft claim. I feel embarrassed that it had to be seen that way. Yes, we found your squeegee with our equipment the following day. One of the team members packed it up with our equipment thinking that it belonged to us since we use the same type of squeegees. Just as with the bracket I will be sending you a replacement. And yes you are right is not the value of the item is the action of taking things that do not belong to us that fogs our honesty. Hope you understand the mistake and accept my apology for the inconvenience and misinterpretation of the situation. We as a company are not afraid of threats from clients regarding posting their reviews everywhere to tell the world about the experience they had with us, we do the best we can with honesty and integrity so we are not afraid of what is said, in the contrary we find everything said positive and are wiling to learn from it as long as the truth is told. To recap -6 HRS OF CLEANING for a fixed amount. If any extra time is required to finish task that the client requests there is a $30.00 per person per hour charge. Not sure how else to explain it simpler. In your case we gave you a discounted rate of $25.00 per person per hour. And still could not please you. -100% guarantee on our work. We stand behind everything we do. You refused to allow us back. -Breakage and damage. We are insured and bonded in case of major damage in your case we offer to replace the blinds bracket and to fix other blind. You refused to accept the replacement part and told us not to worry. -Theft. I am sorry for what happened and embarrassed. Unfortunately our team thought that the squeegee belong to us since we use same type. Please accept our sincere apology and expect a replacement in the mail. Thank you for trusting us into your home. I paid him for extra time but he did not think it was enough...I did not know what to tell him. Am I supposed to feel guilty? For this reason I would not call him again.

It was pretty disappointing when we were advised they couldn't complete even the floors not to mention having to go through the house and find that everything else hadn't been completed it would have been better had they prioritize the way we asked them to with floors, bathrooms, surfaces and dusting. We were then told if we wanted to pay more we could and they try to finish the floors without guarantee that it could be done within the time frame they were charging us for. Again we appreciate it the caliber of service with scheduling and setting up a last-minute cleaning it's a little disappointing though that I have to go back and finish the cleaning that wasn't able to be completed especially for that price and given that even the other cleaners that we weren't satisfied we're still able to complete the entire house. We don't have any desire for them to come back, we will simply find another on Angie's and keep trying.
Description of Work: So the housekeeper that we were currently using has had trouble scheduling so we came on Angie's List and found Dazzle clean professional cleaners I have to say that although they have high ratings which is what attracted us to them you're better off using your money somewhere else. To be fair we did schedule them last minute and they were able to come out the same day that we requested them because we had guests coming into town. They set the expectation when they would arrive and that they would text when they were on their way around 3. We ended up running later then what was initially planned which I still think is understandable given that we were a last-minute client. We were clear as to the items that we needed cleaned we were also clear that it was 4 hours for $120 we've been clarified the actual time frame should have been approximately 2 hours for two people to come and clean. They arrived and they were given the list of items we want it cleaned. As homeowners we didn't feel like anything we were asking was too outlandish or couldn't be accomplished in 2 hours. We had difficulty finding reliable Quality Cleaners in the past however all of them three service providers in the last year have been able to mop all the floors clean up the counter tops dust the surfaces within a two-hour time frame with two people. I don't think we have a large home it's 2000 square feet 4 bedrooms with an open floor plan. As individuals were able to clean it within two hours as well so the expectation was that as professionals they would have been able to manage our home. Fortunately they weren't able to clean up all the surfaces, they weren't able to dust the entire house, they weren't able to complete the floors, and the majority of the work that was observed was half-hearted completed and took a seemingly long time to complete simple tasks. Free exact same price I think you're better off going somewhere else.

Disraeli showed up with an additional worked. I told them what I was focusing on, and what I thought was reasonable for 6 hours of work. In this case I wanted focus on the bathrooms, the kitchen and the floors. I felt they spent a really long time in the master bathroom, but then again that has a glass shower and it needed attention. Towards the end of the 3 hours Disraeli suggested that I let them finish up an additional 20 minutes or so, and I agreed. The end result was very nice. All i expected to be done, was done and nicely done. I am interested in having this DCPC come clean for me again since this was a very pleasant experience.

Disraeli and his crew did a fantastic job. Good communication and prompt. I have a lot (hundreds) of vintage tchotchkes and glass, concrete floors, and five cats. Dazzle took respectful, special care of all of my treasures. I would happily use them again. They were too booked to begin a regular, recurring service at this time, but Disraeli recommended two of his former employees. Great customer service!

Scheduling with this company was not the most accommodating to the customer. They are booked out at least two weeks which may not be an issue for some people. Once a time is confirmed, there is no flexibility within that time frame. They start the cleaning clock at the exact minute (i.e 11:26). My service included 4 hours of cleaning. I had 2 people for 2 hours of cleaning. I expected more to get done within that time frame. I've had cleaning services from a single person and she was able to do more. However, the cleaning they did do was good and thorough. Overall, I was disappointed and would not use them again.

I asked them to clean my house since we couldn't keep up with the cleaning on our own after our maid quit in December. Disraeli and his crew did a great job the first time so we had them come back on a regular basis. They are professional and very pleasant to work with. The house is clean...really clean that I no longer suffer allergy from the dust. These are hard working people who make sure to provide excellent services. I was not disappointed.

The windows/screens that were cleaned were done well, our sons window up stairs on the side of the house was not cleaned and the people who came to clean the windows refused to clean it. They stated that there was not enough room to put up a ladder safely. The man who came out to check out the windows before hand did not state they would not be able to clean the outside of this window. My husband cleaned the outside of the window after the company left.

My rental property was just a disaster. I'm assuming they did the bathrooms, the floor, the windows. Just general cleaning. They didn't try to do the carpets because we had to pull the carpets out. I probably won't use them again just because my mother has moved into the house and she takes good care of my house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. The team is really clean. They do a really thorough job. They spend a lot of time on the house. They were there for several hours and the cost was affordable considering the condition of the house.

Very impressed with the quality of the job!!! I was a little skeptical at first when I found out it was going to be four people for two hours. But they worked great and efficiently! My kitchen has never been so clean!! Especially the stove and sink. That alone won me over. My previous cleaners never got it that cleaned before. Will be using them again!

I highlighted the areas that definitely needed to be done in the 4 hour limit of the Big Deal. My only disappointment was how little of the house was cleaned in that 4 hours. There were 4 cleaners for four hours. I am used to having a much larger home cleaned in less time. Their work was excellent -- they managed to erase hard water stains that I had not been able to do in 7 months!

I understand your concern about the amount of time spent at your property (4 people= 1hr), there are different factors that can make a difference and the ones that we based our in-home estimates on; one is the size or the property, the existing conditions of it, the amount of knickknacks, the number of team members working, an initial cleaning will always take longer than a maintenance service and the thoroughness we like to give every client. Hopefully you noticed this in the rooms that got cleaned =) For what I spoke with my team leader, it seems we would need about 1-1.5hrs to complete a deep cleaning of the rest of your property, but I would be more than happy to schedule an appointment for a more accurate in-home estimate. They were very professional and efficient. They called promptly to set up my appointment, called to let me know exactly when the cleaners would arrive, and called after the service to see if I was satisfied. The cleaners did an amazing job! They worked FAST and really hard. I thought I was going to have to paint my baseboards because they looked so bad, after the cleaners, they look great and no paint will be necessary. Yahoo! I will definitely use them again, this time to clean my entire house. The areas they cleaned (as their name implies) really dazzled! {:
