Our garage door was not closing. We would have to play with it several times, up and down, up and down to get it to close, all caused by the door opener. So the last time it did it, my husband noticed that the cable on one side had come unraveled. Attempting to shut the door even with the manual override it didn't work and actually came off the rail and bent it on one side. So we had to call someone. I usually call at least 3 companies, but knew we needed to get someone out today, Friday. The door was stopped about 14 inches off the floor and cockeyed, so i got on Angie's list and started looking. I found Cookson's Doors and even though I live in the far north valley, and they are in the east valley, they got Ryan to come out within a few hours. All it took was about 30 min and a couple of tools and it was fixed! Great job, and a fair price to boot!

The tech came the first day and repaired the tow doors so I could get in and out of the garage...he ordered the motor for the third door and retunred and replaced that and installed two keypads outside...This was alot of work and the techs were so nice, and so efficient and they had to come out 3 times.. the work quality and price was unbelieveable!! I will never use anyone but this company - thanks guys!!!

Fine. The tech got here w/in the time the co. had specified. He corrected the problem within a few minutes. He also showed us exactly how to correct the problem ourselves in future if that is possible and informed us that Craftsman (our brand) is generally a reliable garage door opener-- useful info. The first person I spoke to when I called the co. had suggested tweaking the screws on the opener housing; we just didn't turn them far enough. I appreciated the tip, especially as it could have canceled out their service call and their $75.

Called due to Angie's List rating - man came out the same day, calling a half-hour before arriving (nice). Peplaced both springs and adjusted the door. All working very well when he left - done right deal !!

Called them about 9:00am. Said they could have someone out to my house at 3:30 that afternoon when I got home from work. At 3:00 the technician called to say something had come up and he couldn't make it at that 3:30. He asked me if I'd prefer he come out at 6:30 that evening or wait till the next day. Bottom line: things happen and I appreciated he called beforehand and still offered to come out that evening. He replaced the spring for $125 plus tax as promised; adjusted the tweaked rollers; and most importantly didn't try to convince me I needed a new door. Excellent service. I highly recommend Cookson Door Sales.

Was able to schedule an appointment pretty easily. Repairman came over, was equipped to install a basic spring for $125, but talked me into a supposedly longer-lasting and higher-quality spring that carried a more serious warranty, for $225. I agreed, but this required ordering the part and rescheduling the appointment. Warranty was not noted on the sales invoice, but he says if I just show the invoice, they'll honor it. The work was done as promised and the door works fine. But in retrospect I should have gone with the basic spring (which I forget the warranty period of -- perhaps 1 or 2 years). By my calculation, it would take me 68 years to go through all the cycles that the fancy spring is supposed to work for, and $225 is a lot for a spring.

They were great. They called up, scheduled a visit. They came out and fixed the problem.

Every one I had contact with was exceptionally helpful in satisfying my request-which was to repair the door and not replace it. The door was quite old and of course replacement parts were not available. The service man made several calls but landed up improvising with parts on his truck and brute strength. He was terrific.

Overall it went very well and we were pleased with them.

The quality of both doors and opener was excellent and the price was quite reasonable. The installer was prompt and worked efficiently and diligently. Everything was cleaned up and they hauled away the old door and opener. Our new garage door meets all of our expectations and then some. Everyone with whom we came in contact at Cookson was knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous, as we made our choices. The installation was a smooth operation and completed efficiently and timely. We are quite pleased with all aspects of the job, from the color of the door to the quiet operation of the opener.

They arrived on time. Did a great job. They forgot to tighten two bolts but called me and offered to come out and tighten them.

Today I called at 8:30 because they had not showed up yet. They put me on hold to check out where the technician was, and they said he was not going to be make it out until 9. I told them to forget it because I was not going to wait for an hour for an 8 am appointment.

Mike came out and installed a Chamberlain (Liftmaster) garage door opener for a newly installed garage door (installed by the builder who built the garage). He was on time and explained exactly what he was going to do and how long it would probably take. He also brought the quote with him. The installation was completed in a timely manner and Mike was very pleasant to deal with throughout. He even identified a loud squeaking noise that the door mechanism was making and attempted to fix it, even though the door wasn't his responsibility. The opener was a relatively sophisticated model, with several extra peripherals that needed to be installed. Mike was clearly extremely knowledgeable and experienced and the installation went without a hitch. He made sure to explain how to use the opener when he had finished and demonstrated its features. Lastly, the price I paid was exactly what was quoted, and was very reasonable. I would thoroughly recommend this company and would definitely use them again.

I submitted a request for a quote online, and received a quote back within a few hours- I called to schedule the service a few days later. I was told that they would be installed within the week, but I couldn't get a firm estimate of what day they would be installed until the day before. That part of the scheduling aspect was somewhat annoying, but when we did finally get a firm date, the installer showed up as promised, and did a great job. Everyone I dealt with was very professional- a good overall experience.

Unbelievably quick and easy. Called them and a sales guy showed up within 10 minutes. (We live close to the office). Had them start work the following Monday. Said they'd be here between 7-10 am and showed up right at 7 am and work was completed within 1-2 hours. Everyone was pleasant and professional and price was great. Would recommend to anyone.

They did a good job and I would use them again.

About 90 minutes after we called, Joel showed up (having called to give us an estimated arrival time and get directions). He was pleasant and friendly. He was alone, and it's quite a job to replace springs on a double garage door with one person running back and forth from side to side. But he had the job done quickly on a Friday (early) evening just in time for us to be able to go out for dinner! My wife had looked up companies on your website, and called to ask how to find the coupons (since we wanted one for service rather than a purchase). We had used Cookson once before to install a new garage door opener, but usually their prices were higher than other companies. This time, even without a coupon, their price was lower and they were able to respond right away. We did tell the dispatcher that we saw them listed on Angie's List, (but they will have the record under my wife's name-B. Teller, rather than mine-since she called). We would give them an A+ in every category.

The estimate was on Monday the door was installed on Tuesday morning. Corey the installer was awesome. His attention to detail, professional demeanor and positive attitude was refreshing, since those qualities can be hard to find in the Valley these days.

Workman was very punctual (actually, early) and finished the job in about 20 minutes. Would definitely use them again.

They were there right on time. Were able to call my cell phone twenty minutes early so I didn't have to miss a lot of work. Did a general maintenance of the opener. Was impressed with their professionalism.

We are very pleased with this company. Their price was fair and their product is good. Although we looked them up on Angies's List first, they were also recommended by three of our neighbors. Our old garage door wouldn't open and they came out right away to view the problem, find out what we wanted and give us an estimate. They worked with us to get the size needed for a special order door size and checked back with us before ordering to check the color and style with us. Because it had to be a special order, it took approximately 2 1/2 weeks for it to arrive at their business. The new garage door arrived a day earlier than they had stated and they were out the next day to install it. He worked for hours in the heat with next-to-no disturbance to us. He was friendly, cheerful, clean and spoke English. For a small extra charge, they hauled away our old door, too. We paid 1/2 in advance and 1/2 at the end of installation. The price quoted is the price we paid.

Lyle did an excellent job. His customer service was superior and the installation went very smoothly! The completed installation was exactly what we were quoted, no surprises! Lyle wiped down the door when he was finished so that there wasn't any smudge marks, he hauled away the old door and parts and cleaned up any remaining debris. I highly recommend Cookson Door Sales, from start to finish they delivered exactly what we wanted!

It went extremely well! Cookson was flexible in scheduling the estimate to fit our schedule. The visit was on time and quick! The estimate was on a Friday. I placed the order on Monday and had the door and opener by the end of the week! They installed efficiently and left no trace of their work - very clean! They were extremely flexible on install time too.

Everything went as advertised. The people were punctual. The workmen were excellent and professional.
