Description of Work: This company was hired by the Home Warranty company I had. They came to repair my washing machine and ended up having to take it into the shop because the transmission had apparently seized. To make a very very long story short, they had the washer for 3 weeks. I sent the owner of the company an email explaining every single issue and phone call I had with the staff and how unhappy I was with her company. I finally received a reply 3 days later confirming a final delivery date... she did not respond to or apologize to any of the issues I had complained about. When they FINALLY brought it back it still didn't work... they didn't have someone come fix it until 2 days later. At one point I told one of the employees that I am going to tell the Home Warranty to not use this company ever again, she said ""good luck, we've been with them for 10 years"". Needless to say I will never let this company repair any appliance I own in the future."

Description of Work: Beyer Appliance is totally worthless. They were scheduled (under my home warranty company) to come out to my house on Saturday morning to diagnose a problem with my refridgerator/freezer. We rearranged our schedule so that they could come out. They never showed up and didnt return my call until Monday morning. They said they could come out Monday so I rearranged my schedule again (this is tough to do with work and kids!). The technician came out, diagnosed the problem, explained to me what part needed to be ordered...said he needed to speak with Fidelity Warranty before placing the order ($700 part) and that it would take 7 to 10 days to get the part. I asked him to PLEASE call Fidelity the same day because its tough to be without a refrigerator freezer for that long! He assured me he would do so. I called Fidelity Tuesday morning, they said they never heard from the technician. Fidelity placed me on hold and called Beyer Appliance who told them that "per the techician's notes, everything was fine with the refrigerator and it was in fine working order". Really? Come on people, I don't spend money on a service fee and waste all my time arranging for you to come out if nothing is wrong! The technician TOLD me what was wrong. He said there is a converter box that changes the amperage from 140 to 220 (or something like that) because thats what the refrigerator needs to run on. He said he tested it and it was giving him different readings, indicating it wasn't working properly. I called Beyer myself and spoke with a manager (Dan, who I think is the owner). He said the compresser wouldn't run if that panel wasn't working. I told him that it runs intermittently (like the technician said) because the refrigerator freezer will cool for a while, then lose coolness and the temps start going up and things start thawing/getting warmer. All he could say was "well, the notes say it is working". Are you kidding me, Dan? Come on, what kind of a business owner are you? Per the notes! Give me a break! Why would I waste my time/money for you guys to come out here. Horrible horrible company!!

Some facts: Work order was received after business hours on Friday. No appointment was ever scheduled for Saturday. (were closed) Appointment was set Monday am for same day service. We were the 5th service provider sent by the home warranty company to diagnose this “INTERMITTENT” problem. ALL visits by us and, the 4 OTHER PROVIDERS, found no problems with this unit. (similar comments were made about the other service providers as well)

Description of Work: I couldn't have asked for better service, techological knowledge, courtesy, and timeliness. Responded the day I called send my new 5-day old washer to shop (I didn't read the directions). Equitable pricing.

The work was done under warranty through American Home Shield so I just paid a co pay. However, 5 months later the same part broke. I called in a different company who are having to replace the same thing. The part put in by Beyer's was not the correct part for the model and the freon they used is incorrect which is requiring the entire system to have to be flushed out and cleaned. They said they would come out and and do a service call to evaluate the situation but there is no way I am trusting them to do any work in my home.

It is unfortunate that you had a premature failure on your Sub Zero fresh food compressor. In our 19 years in business we have replaced 1,000’s of compressors. If as my competitor states, we used the wrong part and the wrong Freon. Why did the unit function for 6 months? If what my competitor told you was true, the unit should not have functioned at all! Without going into very technical terms of btu’s, refrigerants, and appropriate replacements, I can assure you that proper components were used in your repair. These types of repairs are very expensive and lucrative jobs for repair companies, and by this company bad mouthing us, and telling you all these horrible things that we did … I bet they got the job. This is unfortunate for you and us. Had we given the opportunity to evaluate the failure and recommend a proper course of action. I’m certain that we could have reached mutually acceptable solution.
