On July 12, 2011 I bought a completely new kitchen (including countertops) from Ikea. As it turns out, Artisan is the one and only company Ikea uses to install the quartz counters in Phoenix. They sent out their person who measures & makes a template. He showed up on time and was there about an hour measuring everything. 5 days after the template was made, neither Ikea nor Artisan had called me about the installation, so I had to make calls to both of them to keep things moving. When I left messages at Artisan, I rarely received a return call. The whole experience with them was below average because they simply didn't communicate. I called one day trying to schedule the installation, but the girl who does the scheduling wasn't there and nobody else knows anything. Every time I called she was either in a meeting, on the phone, or out of the office. Both Erica and Wanda did not return calls to me on several occasions. Perhaps they are understaffed, but if that's the case, more people need to be hired. I won't go into any more details, but suffice it to say that trying to get things nailed down with them was frustrating. The only good thing is that the counter looks nice. Their installers showed up on time and did a good job installing the counters. If you buy your counters through Ikea, this is the company you'll get, like it or not.
Description of Work: They measured for Silestone quartz counters and installed them.

It took Artisan weeks to contact us and they missed the first appointment. Then they set a time with us to do the template and missed that first appointment. At that time they said we had to level the cabinets or hire someone to do that. That evening I got a call from a person who was related to one of the Artisan Granite people who did our template. I called Artisan the next morning and they said that yes the person who made the referral was their employee but they did not usually recommend contractors. That person did a terrible job and we have paid him part of the work. He finished however and Artisan Granite returned with our new counter tops the following day. They said the cabinets were so badly constructed that they could not put the granite on it. We are trying to work it out, but Artisan wants to take no part of it. We have filed a complaint with the State Registrar of Contractors. We are hiring Cook Remodeler's to finish the base cabinets.
Description of Work: We ordered granite countertops from Home Depot in July. The job was given to Artisan Granite by them. They were to measure, do a template, show us the granite slab to be used and then install.
