After receiving three other estimates for remodeling the master bath I chose Artie based on my prior interaction with him and, let's just call it a and quot;gutand quot; feel. Artie had a helper for some of the project but he did everything himself - he doesn't come in, give you an estimate and sub-contract everything out. When you hire Artie - you get Artie. The project involved removing an existing tub, tub deck, glass block enclosure, and the shower. When the demo was done we found there was considerable dry rot under and around an existing glass block window. Artie removed the window, the framing and the surrounding stucco and re-framed the space and installed a new window. The project included building a new deck, moving the drain, re-plumbing the faucet, building a half-wall around the shower, building a new shower including a seat and niche, installing a new drop-in air tub, and tiling (travertine) the entire space. Artie was the consummate professional. His attention to detail shows in the final project and, importantly, I know that everything under the pretty exterior was done to the highest standards. Artie is truly a craftsman. Highly recommended!

There's a reason that Artie named his business with the word and quot;masterand quot; in it. He's just that. He did a wonderful job. It took longer than anticipated because one of the pipes took forever to drain and he couldn't solder it until it was dry. When he was all done I looked things over and was very impressed at the quality of the work. Nice guy, very knowledgeable.

Instead of making a house call and charging accordingly, Artie walked me through the process of unclogging the unit using an allen wrench, step by step, until I fixed the problem myself. He was polite and generous with his time, charging me nothing for the service. He is a mensch, and if we have bona fide plumbing problems, I'll call him instantly.

He did a really good job, and he even noticed that our drain was not right while he was under our sink and fixed that for us as well. He showed up on time, got the work done, and didn't try to have me do anything unnecessary. He was great! We will definitely use him for any of our future plumbing needs!

From the description of services this sounds pretty simple, right? For my house, this was definitely a chore! Because I have a galley kitchen, the water line needed to be run behind the drywall and across the ceiling. Additionally, a large window sits above my kitchen sink so several cuts had to be made in my cabinet interior as well to move past this. Basically, this job required 4-5 major cuts into my walls and ceiling. Artie did a great job overall. As I described, this was a pretty complex job and you can tell he takes pride in doing a job right. Artie used copper water lines (not plastic tubing as I've seen at other houses) and even installed a valve box at the opening to the refrigerator. Further, Artie personally patched and textured all the drywall holes he was forced to create, saving me the task of doing it myself or hiring a separate contractor. The work is guaranteed for two years, but I have no doubt that this water line will last far longer than that before needing any service. I'll definitely be looking to Artie for further plumbing needs. One small thing, Artie appears to be a one man operation so he did need to reschedule with me after confirming a time, thus the slight drop in punctuality. For me this wasn't an issue, but understandably this could cause schedule issues for other people after already blocking out a service time on their own calendars.

Sadly in todays' world its tough to find honest repairman, that wont' hold it over your head that you have no idea what they are about to repair in your house. Artie was great! He responded very quickly to my email request for service.He came to my house the next day ON TIME. Once at my house, he gave me quote, repaired both problems in about an hour. He was neat, friendly and most of all affordable. He helped me with a minor issue that was MAJOR to me. Skip the fancy box trucks and give Artie your business.

Arties Master Plumbing did the repipe for $1400. Artie was clean, curteous, and friendly. He was in and out in 2 days. It was a good experience. I highly recommend Arties Master Plumbing. For comparison, Rescue Rooter quoted > $5000 to repipe around the slab leak. Thanks Arties Master Plumbing.
