Amy Nelson

After interviewing several realtors with great reputations, we chose Amy Nelson and we are so glad that we did. Amy is very responsive and always willing to meet us to look at a house or answer any question. Amy is very client focused and she is a great advocate, straight shooter and a tough negotiator. (In our situation, she was able to get the buyer to buy the home for higher than the appraised price.) She loves what she does and has a great sense of humor. She takes on the client's pains and burdens and makes them her own. She has a great network of professionals that she works with, appraisers, other realtors, home inspectors, title officers, and she is not afraid to call anyone on the phone. In fact, the first time we interviewed Amy, we were impressed that she had already called the listing agent of a home that was for sale in our neighborhood to ask how that listing was going and how many showings they had. We were also impressed that she was able to come up with an inexpensive and practical solution to a burn mark on our kitchen counter when we were showing her around our home. After looking at over forty homes in-person, we found a home that we wanted to make a bid on. Unfortunately, the sellers of the home we selected were in the middle of negotiating offers with another would-be buyer. Amy structured our offer so that it was more appealing than the other would-be buyer's offer (even though we did not know what the other offer was) so our offer was accepted. The seller wanted the home sale to close quickly so Amy immediately went to work coordinating a home inspector, whom she highly recommended. The home inspector did a great job for us. Then she recommended a title company whom she had worked with in the past. The title officer also did a fantastic job for us and was able to meet our aggressive closing deadline. We are now living in the house and are very happy with our purchase. Before we found the home we made an offer on, Amy steered us away from a home that backed up to a railroad track even though it would have meant a big commission pay-off for her, so we felt that she truly had our best interests in mind. When it came to selling our home, our home was on the market less than 30 days before it was sold. She had a professional take pictures of the home and the pictures were absolutely stunning. She had an open house on the first weekend that the home was for sale. We received our first offer shortly after that and then we received two more. We chose the third offer and again had an aggressive closing deadline which we made. We would not hesitate to use Amy as our realtor again and would recommend her to our friends and family. Amy is very, very good at what she does and she makes the whole process fun. ome,
