drywall
+ -1 moreAlmost immediately into the job, there was a surprise. Dave found the dishwasher drain pipe in the wall that needed to be cut down. It is called a "Boston Loop"-installed so the water from the drain can't back up into the dishwasher. It was a surprise and would not allow us to cut down the wall the 6" that we needed. Dave knew a plumber who he was able to get there within an hour. The pipe was cut down, reconnected and Dave lowered the wall. The wall had to be cut into in order for the plumber to lower the pipe. The plumbing work of course was an additional charge/cost, but not paid to All City Drywall. It was between myself and the plumber. Dave is excellent at "texturing walls". Everyplace he repaired walls or patched the wall due to the plumber cutting a hole in the wall. You would never know it was worked on. The texturing was perfect. Did a great job. Very honest and accommodating.
Description of Work: Dave needed to lower a countertop wall so that the "breakfast counter top" was lower and comfortable for someone to sit there and eat, drink, whatever, at the counter I guess the home builder, set the height for a "Serving Counter" rather than a "Seating Area". He cut down the wall (about 6"). In addition, I had two doors/doorways that because of house settling no longer lined up with the door latches... He realigned the doors and the settling also caused a few cracks in the walls near the door framework. There were also a few small cracks in the ceiling that needed patching. With all the dry wall work.... THE SURFACES ALSO NEEDED TO BE TEXTURED.
