Irish Pest Weeds & Termite

Description of Work: We were very impressed with Matt, the technician, and with Irish Pest Control. They could have taken our money and done the treatment, even though it wouldn't be very effective on the species of termite we apparently have. Because so much of what termites do is never visible - we might never have known the difference! They definitely took the high-ground on this one!

Description of Work: The struggle with me giving a good review is that there was a communication problem. I had never had this service done before so I was explicit in asking what I needed to do prior to the work being done. I was told buy enough seed for your yard. When the workers arrived, they expected me to have the yard mowed and were only going to seed. I ended up mowing the yard myself while they waited and was late for work. I also judge the value of a deal on the listed original price, which I believe was around $400. I ask myself, "Would I have paid the original price for this service?" There is not way that the work done would have been worth $400 without them mowing the lawn and providing the seed.

Description of Work: I have used Irish for my regular pest control. Made a huge difference after switching from my old company. They are punctual, friendly and knowledgable, and best of all, their service really works. I just took advantage of their termite treatment, again, a very thorough job and an excellent warranty. Very satisifed with this company.

Description of Work: The technician was friendly, prompt and thorough in his explanation of the process. I have no complaints about any customer service provided. However, the treatment was sub-par. The yellow tracking stain is still present in areas weeks after the treatment. Additionally, I have just as many weeks 2 weeks after the service as I did before. I sprayed myself last year and kept them away for 11 months. I guess I will get to do it again.

Description of Work: Treated for ticks. Irish came out, assessed the area and had to come back as we needed to prepare the inside and be ready to evacuate. Nice guy. Have seen only one since treatment.

Description of Work: I use them for weed and insect control and very pleased with results. I have used other providers but could not compare to this company. Service people very pleasant. I have also used them for termite control.

Description of Work: They applied the triple treatment service that was offered here on Angie's List. I called before purchasing to verify application was good for 90 days and went on vacation. When I got home in 3 weeks the yard had lots of weeds and I called them disappointed. They sent another tech out who was rude and sprayed my worldwide collection of rocks with the treatment which stained them. I was very upset and called the owner. He made another appt. with me and offered whatever he could do to fix the staining. He then applied a treatment to the whole yard again at no additional cost. | |I appreciated very much that he took the time to address the situation and came himself to take care of the issue.

Description of Work: I thought this was for the whole yard, grass and rock area. Technician said this was for rock area only. Rock area was sprayed with a back pack sprayer. Here it is 1 month later and I'm experiencing weeds coming up along the sidewalk edge, driveway edge, and and in a flower bed that had no plants growing just plain dirt and weeds. There has been no rain recently so weeds should not be growing in a sprayed area.

Description of Work: 1) Aerate front and back lawns and 2) spread winter rye grass seed (which we had purchased ourselves). The aerator did not use sharp spikes to penetrate the soil; it instead used large diameter spikes which caused no real penetration and very little aeration. The winter rye grass was not spread uniformly and came in very spotty, particularly in the back yard section. In fairness to the company, they were new at this.

Description of Work: Spray did eliminate the weeds and really did well on the existing green weeds. Only disappointment was I asked if there was a color to the spray; was told it was yellow and would burn off in a few days. The yellow stain discolored my white outside walls at bottom and also two resin storage boxes. Has not worn off yet and hosing them down had little impact. Should use some sort of shield (like painters use) when spraying beside walls and objects.
