I would not use this company ever again, not that you call and get a answer anyway. But on the off chance that they answer the phone, buyer beware. I have contacted Groupon to complain about them not reviewing the companies that they offer discounts for. I checked Angie's List before the Groupon purchase but Green Star HVAC was not listed. I did a google search and I am not the only customer who took advantage of the Groupon and was extremely unhappy with the Green Star HVAC. Customer service is not a strong point, but arrogance is. It is obvious from our experience with these people that they care nothing about their customers, only about how much money they can get from them. I attend to file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the Registrar of Contractors. In my opinion an F rating is too high for this company. UPDATE: I am most upset now after Greenstar HVAC's response using the words a "little dirty between the Member and our technician", "side deal", and "a twisted stretched lie". I was told by Greenstar's technician when they finally called after hearing from the credit card company that the technician Scott who had come to the house to do all the work had taken a very good job in California and was no longer with the company. However, my very first complaint call about the filters made weeks before, was answered by a nice girl who said Scott no longer worked for the company. I did NOT have any side deal with the technician and am most insulted that I did and am accused of lying. I was also told by Joe when he finally made that return call after the credit card company contacted Greenstar, that the reason for not returning my calls was their phones were not working. So why did he admit that their phones were not working but on Angie's List, he states he "made numerous time to contact the Member". Now seriously, if Greenstar protects and cares for their clients, wouldn't Greenstar apologize and try to resolve the problem? I guess it is easier to call the client a liar and a person who does dirty deals. By the way, the technician Scott, said that one of the parts was under warranty from Lennox and that part was going to cost less. I didn't ask for any deals or discounts!!! I ordered filters at the suggestion of their technician, who made a mistake in the filter size, and I just wanted Greenstar to do something. They were to send someone out to look at the filters and call back to let me know when. Then NOTHING. No phone calls returned, no Greenstar phones answered. Now I am thinking all types of bad things like maybe I didn't need all the repairs. So I simply wanted out of the five year maintenance agreement which they have agreed to.
Description of Work: WeI purchased 2 Groupons for a 20 pt inspection service on the A/C from Home Remodeling Of Arizona LLC dba Green Star HVAC to have the A/C checked. After the inspection, the technician stated repairs would be needed in the amount of $1,189 or if we purchased the the five year maintenance agreement the charge would be $1,600. We took the the five year maintenance agreement and agreed to the repairs. We had the same Lennox A/C unit repaired last summer with a new compressor and coil from Ron Brook's Heating and Cooling . The house was 2 years old, so A/C was under warranty last year with Richmond American Homes. Green Star HVAC indicated that the technician from Ron Brook's did not know what he was doing so new parts were needed this year. The Green S technician returned later in the week to make the repairs. The technician sprayed some very harsh smelling chemical into the ductwork stating that would seal the ductwork that we were paying $250 to have fixed. The ductwork is no better now than before the spray. When this was brought to their attention, they stated that if they sent a technician out to check the ductwork they would not make any repairs but only let us know what was wrong so we would still be out the $250 and still have the same problem. I started choking and he stated that better filters might help with my asthma. So we (the technician and us) went online and ordered filters from Filter.now to the tune of $128. The technician placed a call prior to assisting with the online order, and told us where to order the filters as he watched and helped us. The filters arrived and we had our son attempt to install them for us. They were too thick and would not fit. We called Green Star HVAC and had to leave a message. Joe finally called back and put Omar on the phone to help us. Omar said it would be additional expense to do sheet metal work to make the filters fit. He was to call back in 10 minutes to shedule a technician to come to the house, our previous technician no longer worked for the company. After numerous attempts to get a return phone call from anyone at Green Star HVAC over two weeks, we contacted the credit card company to dispute the charges, because we certainly did not want a maintenance agreement with a company that never answers the phone or returns calls. It should also be noted that the company would not even answer the phone and the credit card company tried every extension on their list and received no answer at any of them. Would you believe, after four weeks and a letter from the credit card company disputing the charge, they finally returned a phone call. It went back and forth, but the bottom line was we agreed to reimburse them for the parts of $1,189 which will not be under warranty for the five years because we cancelled the five year maintenance agreement. The company also stated that we would have to pay sales tax on the parts because we were cancelling the five year maintenance agreement. There was not any thing on the paperwork we signed to that effect.

Response from Home Remodeling of Arizona LLC
Greenstar HVAC tried numerous time to contact the Member due to the fact that she had left a message about her filters she had purchased. On our work order (invoice ticket) there was only the five year agreement and the worked performed there. The work performed was a run cap, manuel seal to two runs, and a meter, there was never at any time Filters. After doing a little dirty between the Member and our technician at the time, I found out that she was making a side deal with our technician. I really noticed this because our invoice ticket was very low in charges for the work done at her house. I don't know the exact deal the Member and our technician had but I do know that when we found out about this we fired that technician and the Member received the filters in the mail. The filters where the wrong size so the Member wanted us to refund those filters for her, which Greenstar HVAC can not do because our company did not order those filter. We went back and forth about those filters and will told the Member the same answer. Greenstar HVAC answers the phone calls and message that come to our office. We protect our clients and care for them as well. We are embarrassed of this matter written and posted on Angie's list as a twisted stretched lie.
