He came out and explained the extras. With these extras, the package was going to be more than the $1,299 so I did not have them come out to do the work. DZ was wonderful and came right out to provide an estimate.

I found them on Angie's List. It was a good experience. Their price was fair. They came and did the work on time.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it did not turn out great. I ended up having to go out of state for a while for some family health issues then this company did not want to honor the Big Deal any more. I guess it went past the expiration date while I was gone so the guy fought with me about coming and getting the work done. After I called him about 10 times he did send someone out. Although I gave the person he sent out measurements of the walls I wanted painted I was told to get two gallons of paint and it only took less than a gallon so I wasted money on that. The guy who came out did not have an extension ladder or an extension pole to paint the sides of the wall I have. I had to give him stuff that I had in order for him to do the work. Then, he even had to wait for an hour for another guy to show up to bring a ladder and hold up and things. It was a giant pain in the a**. The price I paid for the Big Deal in relation to the work I got was outrageous and ridiculous. The Big Deal was supposed to be for two rooms painted.

The estimate was accurate and the work was performed according to agreement. They pressure washed the house, made any necessary repairs such as removing orphaned nails, cable cords and the like. All holes were filled with high quality elastimer (sp) caulking. I see now, nearly two years later, that this area needs to be re-caulked. I would use this company again.

The workers didn't want to do certain items on the contract. They dripped paint all over our landscape rocks and I had to clean up most of it because they wouldn't clean it up. The owner had to come out and do some things himself because the workers wouldn't complete everything. It took about three full days to do the work and there were some issues due to the weather. The back porch has a deck on the top level which they were supposed to sand prior to painting which they didn't do. They ended up coming out later to sand it after they already had painted. The crew didn't seem to know what all was anticipated or expected.

I travel for work and I was out of town. I had a lot of questions for them and they answered all of them for me. They honored the price of the AAA discount even after it expired. The owner came to look at everything and check the work. They were a wonderful company.

On Monday 3/24/14, made an appointment to get a estimate for a paint job on the interior of a new-build house. Was able to schedule one for Wed. 3/26 at 11:00AM. On Tue. 3/24, the office called and asked if we could move the appointment up to 9:00AM instead of 11:00AM. We agreed to do that even though we had other things planned during that time. At 8:15AM Wed. morning, drove from our current house to the new-build which is a 30 min. trip. Arrived at the new-build at 8:45. By 9:15, Daniel, who was suppose to do the estimate had not arrived yet. I called the office to see if maybe he was lost or was running late. The person in the office put me on hold to find out what the status of Daniel was. When she came back, I was told that he was called out to another job and that he had called my house and left a message wanting to know if I could reschedule for tomorrow afternoon. I explaind to her that we already rescheduled once and that we drove 30 min. just to get to this job site only to be told that some other job was more important than keeping his appointment with us. I advised her that that was very unprofessional and that I couldn't possibly hire a company to do a job for me that constantly jerks their customers around with scheduling. Upon returning home, I checked the phone message which came in around 8:25 which was pretty late for cancelling off an appointment for 9:00AM. This job has been estimated to be in excess of $2,000.00 by other paint companies. I guess DZ is doing well enough to blatantly blow off potential customers. Also, if your time isn't really important, than this is the company to hire to waste it.

WOW this company rocks. First Daniel, the owner, came out to give me an estimate. The painter, Carlos and his crew did a fantastic job. I upgraded the paint to acrylic paint. Daniel told me to get samples and try them on the house first. Great idea because the first color was not right, nor was the second or third. Once the paint was chosen, they came out, power washed the house, repaired any cracks, and proceeded to paint. My only negative was the loose paint chips around the perimeter that weren't cleaned up, but I don't think Carlos had the equipment to do so. My house looks brand new, and Carlos, despite the paint chips, was amazing.

I used DZ paint the first time about 1 year ago with a coupon for 2 rooms. I usually don't expect much for these deals, as they are discounted. Well, I was so pleased with the job they did, I hired DZ paint again, for a front bedroom! Daniel Zapata, the owner, is very friendly and easy to work with. I like the fact that he is willing to use two different colors, without charging extra. He even gave me advice as to where to paint a contrasting color (I have many pop-out walls) for the best effect. All I had to do is go to Sherwin Williams and pick out the colors, and he took care of the rest. The painters don't rush, and do a good job, prepping and cleaning up. Daniel even sent them out after a job, because I didn't like the color in a small area, and they painted over it at no charge. He said he wanted me to be satisfied. The only negative factor is that they do water down the paint a bit. It doesn't seem to affect the color, but they don't use it right out of the can. Overall, a really good paint company with excellent customer service!

Family owned operation. Received printed, itemized estimate room by room which allowed us to choose what to have painted. Was able to schedule within 1 week from estimate. A very nice couple did the project in one and a half days. Two coats of paint and primer. Plus a few small repairs that needed new caulking. Very pleased with the work. Very professional, clean and fast. Plus, they gave us a $125.00 coupon that was on Angie's List. Credited off the total estimate. We got estimates for our interior paint project from three different paint contractors. Two from Angie's List and one recommended from a home decorator. The hugest reason why we choose DZ Paint is because he was the only one that mentioned it would be more healthy for me due to sensitive allergy issues, to use a low VOC paint. Less paint fumes. The service was good. They did try to up sell additional things the entire time. I did notice after the service that they painted the trim with a flat finish and it should have had a semi-gloss finish to it. They did do a good job with the work.

They were on time and were 100% professional in all ways. I would hire them again.

Originally they were scheduled to work the Wed before Thanksgiving and the Monday after Thanksgiving. They worked over Thanksgiving weekend so that we could move in sooner. The painters were all very professional and precise when painting.

The crew worked for 3 days and did excellent work. Power washed the house day one, taped and started painting day 2, and were done day 3. Very prompt and dealing with the office staff was a pleasure. If I had any complaint (and it would be a very minor one), it would be that some of the exterior wood trim could have been sanded a little better before paint was applied. But will definitely use this company again.

They did a good job. I wished they would have put all of my patio items back where they were, but that is my only negative comment.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was really good. They were very professional and easy to work with. The workers got everything done as ordered and on time.

Daniel was very friendly. He ordered us samples and when we were ready to paint, he set it up very quickly. They painted all in one day and then came back the second day to clean up and touch up. It looks great. I will probably have him come back to do my block wall, he gave me a very reasonable quote.

I called DZ Paint and asked for an estimate for painting the exterior of one of my rental homes in Mesa, The reason I called them was that they refinished a patio ceiling for me about 6 months earlier, and did a very good job. The estimate they gave me was very reasonable so I had them do the work. We agreed on a date, and the painting was completed only one day late, and that was due to rainy weather.. I am very happy with the job they did, and would highly recommend them to anyone who needed interior or exterior painting.
