Description of Work: Pained the entire house, two-tone. The work was very well done and thorough. It was actually done in 2012.

Description of Work: The painters did a great job with painting in a limited amount of time, accommodating my schedule, so I could move in as needed. They were easy to work with and I would give them an A for painting with a few exceptions, so they earn a B because of mistakes. I asked for low VOC Eggshell paint in the main part of the house and low-VOC Semi-gloss in the kitchen and baths, and I was willing to pay an upcharge, if necessary. They used a low VOC Velvet (less durable with less sheen than eggshell) throughout the house; I was told low VOC only came in a velvet finish. I recently went to the paint store and discovered low VOC came in Eggshell and Semi-gloss finishes. So I'm not happy about the deception and just hope the Velvet finish holds up. Fortunately, I do not have children. Additionally, the lack of attention to detail and "mistakes" requires a lot of cleanup and fixing. The painters removed all the switch plates, but left the screws in the holes--then painted over the screws, so I had white switch plates with tan screws! I had to replace all the switch plates. It was easier than trying to clean the screws. They did a fairly good job of covering light fixtures and towel bars, but there was still paint cleanup to remove random smears. The biggest fix-it mistake is with the frames around the shutters. They painted the window sills inside the shutter-box. However, they also randomly painted the frame on the side that is visible from the outside through the windows. As I walk up to my front door or sit on my patio and look at the shutters, there are smears where a wandering paint brush left paint on the exterior frame. I now have to buy paint to match the shutters and re-paint the frames to remove all the smears. For the most part they did a good job, but lacked some common sense and attention to detail.

Description of Work: Had 2 car garage floor epoxied and sealed with cute little sparkles. The floor looks great!

Description of Work: Bought the epoxy floor special and had garage painted. DZ Paint was very punctual and professional at all times. Painting was okay and minor drywall repairs were made. I did find a few issues with missed spots and wood trim not patched that I had to ask them to take care of, which goes to the fact they did not review their work diligently. I am not satisfied with the way the epoxy floor was advertised. Beware that this is a basic minimum 2 part epoxy and you get what you pay for. It was not explained sufficiently in the advertising nor before installation and some like myself may not be happy with the end results and durability. Also epoxy was put on floor with rollers and left roller streaks that show up under certain lighting. When I complained about the roller marks was told that I did not purchase the higher end epoxy which would have been applied with a sprayer. Also no chips and no clear coat shield is included. Adding the additional improvements would have almost doubled the cost.

Description of Work: I purchased an "Angie" deal for painting by DZ Paint, Inc, $99.00 for painting up to two interior rooms. I received an estimate of purchased two rooms at the discounted price. I ask for an estimate for a third room and an alcove. The cost was an additional 210.00 I also provided the paint. Price did not include trim or doors.

Description of Work: This was an Angie's List deal for $1299. Because I recently had another experience for which I prepaid - I did not buy this deal until it was quoted in person - and then didn't buy this "deal" because of the price of $4100. This is another example of "bait and switch" by a retailer. Although my house is larger than the square foot quote and included a fence I estimated the overall price at approximately double the $1299 or $2600 -2800. I am thinking that certain companies think that being on Angie's list is enough to insure their credibility.

Description of Work: Had the walls of a bedroom painted - I did the ceiling. The room was about 200 sq ft and two coats were applied quickly.

Description of Work: DZ painting just completed interior dry wall repairs, exterior stucco repairs and paint. They also were able to repair some broken tile and grout cracks.

Description of Work: Daniel came to my home and gave me an estimate on the services I wanted to have done. The interior of the home was painted different colors. With the help of Daniel and his experience (over 10 yrs) the color scheme worked out just perfect. The sateen finish over flat paint worked out well. Everyone who has been in my home loves the paint job and has asked for his business card.
