Description of Work: We had used Baker Brothers on 2 previous jobs. They did such a great job that we requested our general contractor use them when our floor needed to be replaced after a flood. Well, the third time and fourth time (I will explain that) did not go so well. First of all the Baker Brothers sales department made it sound like the installers were Baker Brothers employees. It turned out that the company Baker Brothers uses for installation is Exotic Flooring. When we initially needed this job done, we were out of town, so once the space was emptied it should have been a quick and easy flooring removal and installation. We had many problems with the install and it was blamed on defective product. After we moved back in, it was determined that over 50 planks of our new floor needed to be replaced, so it was decided that they would rip it all out and replace it. We were forced to have same crew as according to the ROC they must be given the opportunity to make it right. We were also informed that we weren't even the customer because it was our General Contractor that hired Baker Brothers. Baker Brothers would not commit to paying for our hotel and food while we were forced out of our house due the so called "defective product" I will thank them for finally agreeing to cover these costs we had out of pocket, but it sure would have been better customer service if they had assured us up front. Baker Brothers is not about customer service, they are about cutting corners, saving money and profits first. It seems like the customer is the last concern of this company. They have fancy showrooms with nice sales personnel, but when it comes to the installation, you get unmarked vans and trucks with no Baker Brothers employees! When they started the job (4th time floor installation) it was clear that the product was the same and they had to have more shipped in from California. I confirmed that Baker Brothers had a claim with Bruce Hardwood "E550" product, but I don't know any of the details of that claim. The job is finally done and we had one last board replaced. I just took the weights off after 48 hours and it was obvious that too much glue was used leaving a mess for me to scrape up and clean. Job was supposed to be done on or before October 15, 2016. The last plank that had to be replaced was done on February 24, 2017. I hope this review helps other people avoid the pitfalls that we experienced.

+ 1 moreWe worked very hard to remove the smaller pieces from every room scheduled for the first day and clear the bottom rows of clothes from the closets. The crew showed up at 10:30 and instead of clearing the farthest rooms started on the middle interior rooms. They were forced to move big furniture on to the new carpeting. No logic in their work. They didn't want suggestions because they could not speak English. They seemed resentful of me chasing them around asking them to be careful of our nice pieces. We argued about the fact the second part of the house was to be done the next day so we had time, and a place to move that furniture out. They wanted to continue after 8pm. We scheduled 2 days and I had to argue with them about that. After they left we discovered none of the closet bypass doors worked. We had to hire a handyman to finish that. I had to show them how our beds disassembled and when they were assembling them they were using the wrong size socket so they damaged the bolt heads. The right size socket was in the box and I had to show them they were using the wrong tool. Baker Brothers "customer service followup" consists of No followup, No phone call, No Thank you for your business and hope you can communicate with our installers because we can't! Here is the kicker. In order for our warrenty to not be void we have to use Baker Brothers Cleaning service once a year! We will clean it once a year but not with their Cleaning Service. We would never recommend Baker Brothers to anyone.
Description of Work: We had the whole house, 3800 sq ft, done. The job included moving some big pieces of furniture, removing bypass doors on the closets and the removal and installation of new carpet. The whole job was scheduled for two days which I confirmed twice 10 days and 3 days before the job started.

+ -1 moreWe walked into the Surprise showroom with only a patterned throw pillow from our couch as a guide. Salesman patiently took us through ALL their bound rugs. We were debating on the "lesser of all near matches" when an associate pointed out the rug they were unwrapping for display. We liked the material, color and design. After a quick test run with the throw pillow, we were sold. Salesman loaded this large rug into our van while we signed final paperwork. We've now lived with this rug for 3 months and LOVE it! It is soft to the step and all 3 of our dogs enjoy its plushness. We would definitely return to Baker Brothers again and have recommended them to others.
Description of Work: We were looking for a rug to cover tile floor in Arizona room. Baker Brothers sold us the perfect rug for the space.

Description of Work: The salesman who helped us at the store was very helpful. There was no pressure and he had lots of patience. The men who laid the carpeting were efficient, very neat and courteous. We would most definitely use Baker Bros. again.
