We could not be happier with our new Comfortmaker AC, gas furnace, and top notch customer service! 1st AC unit they installed sounded like a freight train. Obviously a faulty unit. We could tell Howard was mortified, because he is a perfectionist. No worries, replacement unit installed the next day was whisper quiet! Howard always comes through. He is really an honest, ethical guy, & we could never trust anyone else with our HVAC or appliance service needs. This is a small, husband & wife run business, but they are HUGE on quality & customer satisfaction. 10 stars!

He was very knowledgeable and professionnel and told my tenant to not spend money on that fridge because it would be to expensive to repair and it as to be replaced.

Everyone was extremely helpful and seemed to care that I was having such an unusual issue.

I called and was promptly greeted and service scheduled for today. Serviceman could not have been anymore thorough, professional and overall the most pleasant service call I've had in my 60++ years.

They did a nice job. Our tenants were very happy with their work and professionalism.

We had a dryer in the garage that wasn't working. Another appliance company came and they said that it was possibly the motor and because that would be expensive to repair suggested we just buy a whole new set. Wet purchased a used set and after about a year that went out too. Found Howard's Heating/Air and Appliance on AL, and because it was a small independently owned company I wanted to give them a try. Mr. Howard was prompt, personable, and professional. Came fully prepared to do the work and never left until it was done. Gave me an honest assessment and checked other things just to be sure. Mr. Howard went above and beyond (came two other times but couldn't get the job done because of thing we had to take care of) and even did some things that we asked for that we're not in the original plan. From start to finish the experience was great. I will definitely use him again!

Scott (engineer) came out a couple times before the work started. He brought an iPad in and walked around the property to take a video/ show the installers exactly where to go and what to do. He then went into the attic and again gave specific instructions for the installers. It gave me peace of mind that he took the time to do that and tell the installers how and where to do everything the right way. I had tickets to go to an event that night and I told them to come as early as possible because I could leave no later than 530pm. The boss sent two more people out to help the crew so that they could finish in time for me to leave. I thought that was amazing service and you can tell they really care for the customer. They were professional, very neat and clean, respectful, and the unit in the attic actually looks like a piece of art. I would highly, highly recommend them.

They were excellent and I would recommend them to anybody. I chose them because I called them at 9:30 p.m. along with three others and they were the only one that was willing to come out that night to deal with the problem. The service performed was excellent.

Howard fixed what I asked him to do very quickly. Very pleasant experience.

He came out moved the washer and found out that it was unplugged. He moved the washer and plugged it in and I haven't had trouble since. He was very good, very kind and courteous. He knew what he doing.

Howard retuned my call promptly after contacting him on Angie's List site. He explained what needed to be done and what the outcome may be for the type of repair needed on this appliance. Apparently there was a flaw in the cable system pulley on this model. He ordered the part and repaired the door as soon as the part came in. He was professional and pleasant. Good experience and now I have an appliance as good as new.

The provider was very responsive. He called very quickly and spent time on the phone asking questions to try to diagnosis the problem, which he did successfully, thus saving me the cost of a service call. He told me what to do to temporarily continue using the refrigerator. The part had to be ordered. He gave instructions to call depending on the circumstances. It was necessary to call him on Saturday night and he quickly returned the call. He was able to come and have an intern replace the circuit board by the following Wednesday. It has worked well since then. I am grateful for the excellent service and call backs. Additionally, he is a very nice man.

When he realized that I was ill (my right kidney had failed and I was scheduled to have it removed on Friday) Howard went down and picked it up that afternoon and it was installed before I went to bed that night. On one of the hottest days of the summer it only took about three hours to cool the whole house down. I have had him out one other time in Feb when that old unit was acting funny, he made a slight adjustment and did not charge me a thing. He is now my go to guy for any problems with air/heat unit.

The property is tenant occupied; I received a call from the tenant on Sunday; was referred to Howard by my property manager. I checked on Angie's list and found he had a good rating so I gave him a call. He came out promptly and gave me an estimate to repair of approximately $1,000. I called another A/C guy for 2nd opinion. Both agreed on the problem so asked both for an estimate to replace the system. Howard's quote was $4,200 + tax which was about $1,000 less than the other bid for comparable equipment. Gave Howard the OK and he started work to remove old A/C on Tuesday and completed the new installation on Wednesday. I am pleased with his prompt service. Will use him again when needed.

We dreaded the $3,000+ price for a new air conditioner, but most of our recent "repair" jobs have ended in replacement rather than repair. Howard called back shortly after we initiated a call to him; he informed us that he had an all-day job the following day but he could come the morning after that. We decided to wait, and it was worth the wait. He came first thing on the morning promised and it took no time at all for him to guess the problem from our description. Examination of the air conditioner proved his guess to be correct . He was friendly, but not chatty. The part was replaced. We were charged about $48.00 for the part, $75 for labor (no trip charge) and a small tax amount totalling $128.01, and our air conditioner was working! We strongly suspect that the air conditioner that was replaced on the other side of our house last year was suffering from an identical problem, but we were told by a different repairman that repairing the part would cost as much or more than replacement. Howard is the most honest and reliable repairman of any kind that we have hired in years!

Howard did a great job and was very reasonably priced. Will work with him again.

Howard came out promptly to get me out of THE HEAT. He quickly found the AC problem and got my unit up and running. However in a few days it stopped again. But again Howard got out here right away and fixed the problem. No problems since. If you want an AC guy who responds quickly and whose pricing is very reasonable (hard to find this day and age), give Howard a call.

On 5/15/13 I noticed water in the bottom of the inside of my refrigerator. Thinking it was a fluke I cleaned it but it returned the next day and on Friday the 17th it was bad so I checked Angies lIst and found a repairman who listed working Saturday and called. He said he had a job in my area and would arrive soon, which he did. Howard diagnosed the problem, repaired the machine and added a wire to keep the problem from recurring. He was pleasant and professional.

Howard arrived early and within 2 minutes (not exaggerating) diagnosed the problem. One of the wires to the terminal block from the power chord had actually caught fire and burned itself off of the terminal block. Additionally, one of the wires from the terminal block down to the rest of the dryer had also caught fire. He quickly told me that he needed to order the terminal block as it wasn't a part that he had on hand (specific to my dryer etc) and we scheduled another appointment. Howard did not charge me for the first service call. I can't say that he would do this every time as we had struck up a conversation and I think he felt a little sorry for my current financial status (we had put off repairing the dryer for over a year due to finances). Either way, I was impressed with how quickly he diagnosed the problem and how helpful he was regarding the service call. He told me that he estimated about $180 to do the entire repair. A few days later Howard called me and told me he had the part. He came over, spet less than an hour effecting the repair and charged me $157.21 total (less than his estimate). Howard is a great technician, thoroughly explains everything he needs to do and why, and leaves you feeling like you got a great repair for a fair price. I will use him again.

Since they never returned our call, we didn't do business with them.

Our dryer stopped working from one load finishing to starting the next. When 'start' button was pressed, only a whirring sound from the motor, and the tumbler wouldn't turn. My husband went on Angie's List to find a repair company, and contacted a few on the list. Howard was prompt in returning our phone call and we scheduled him to come provide the estimate. He came to the house right away, found the problem with the dryer and explained what it would take to fix. Gave us what I consider to be a very fair price to repair it. We will definitely call Howard to fix the dryer the first week of July.

Howard was on time, listened to the noise my washing machine was making, and knew right away what was wrong. He fixed it immediately, and left the area cleaner than it was when he arrived! His price was more than fair, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an appliance or air conditioner repair.

Howard call us promptly after we left a voice mail message. He diagnosed the problem with our washer over the phone and brought the necessary part and switch. He arrived at our home on time. He checked the washer and said it only needed a new switch rather than an expensive part. His service was less than half of his estimate. The washer now works perfectly. What a pleasure to find an honest and professional owner/operated service company. He will be our sole supplier for appliance and HVAC repairs.

They did fine. They’re good. They do a thorough job at a decent price.
