+ -1 moreA water line broke under the house. We issued bids as the previous plumber we used to replace gas lines gave us a bid on the water lines for just under $6,000. We had two other bids, and Bill Ervien of In-Line Plumbing came in at under $2,000. Old pipes were corroded as over 50 years old. We also had a few other issues- leaks and repairs to bathroom toilet and shower. We are now using Bill Ervien also to remodel plumbing in an old bathroom for handicapped use. We would not use anyone but this man to do our plumbing.
Description of Work: We had to have new water lines from street to house and throughout the house. It was an old house, so lines were under the house and due to new regulations lines had to be run in the attic, and then to all areas of the house. Installed new hose bibs outside house and also capped and cut off old stand up hose bibs that were freezing. Could not put pipes into the walls as they were masonry, so this contractor thoughtfully ran pipes tin such a way as to disguise them and keep them out of the way. He also did some plastering, and extra things including adding a little extra insulation over the pipes in the attic. . This man is very honest and straightforward with you. He also did all the clean-up work so we didn't have to do anything, and rechecked to make sure everything was working right before he left. As he left, Bill made the comment that if we had any problems to call him right away.
