Impressed that the owner himself came out to do an estimate. His numbers were firm following careful measurement of area and clear understanding of work to be done. His quote came in higher than another contractor, ($12,476 vs. 10,700) but he came with higher recommendations, a clientele list of satisfied customers, and very clearly had the expertise himself to do the job. I was not worried that he would take my money and hire it out elsewhere, or that he would demand more money once the job began. The higher price estimate, and his payment plan (50% deposit, 25% halfway, 25% completion) were non-negotiable. He offered no discount to military servicemembers. These were the only factors keeping him from receiving straight A's in my opinion. When I can afford the payments, I will go with his service.
