LOWE'S

I think it was excellent. I knew I needed to update my appliances after my kitchen remodel, so I went to Lowes and I talked with both Brittany and Rosey. They sat down with me and we walked through what I needed and wanted. They even did a comparison to ensure quality and price level. They were recently installed and the install team was great as well. Very satisfied.

I would have preferred if Lowe's came out and checked up on the work. The work was good but they could have cleaned up more.

Lowe's have the better lumbers than the other places do. The guys help me out a lot too. I go down and I have a sciatic nerve and they help me load everything. I don't have to do much work with them. The guys do it for me. The guys do a lot of the work and help me load it in my truck. They give me a discount because my husband was in the navy. The guys are very professional. They're very respective. Another lady was trying to deal with her baby and the guy wanted to help her.

Salespeople in store were clueless about install. I was sold a saw that was completely wrong for my project and had to return it. Store employees repeatedly gave wrong recommendations about installation and repeatedly told me how easy it was to do. It isn't. Ultimately, I hired one of their contractors to install the floor. This appeared to completely flummox the in-store employees who kept giving me paperwork to buy more laminate which I had already purchased. The floor installer did an adequate but not stellar job and never replaced the strip in front of the sliding glass door or the brackets which held the closet doors at the bottom. Unless you have construction experience, do not rely on Lowe's employees to learn a construction skill. They really appear to have no idea.

I've discovered a quite knowledgeable fellow in their outdoor nursery by the name of Tom. He is a wealth of information on various trees, shrubs, etc. for this area. Besides the usual recommendations on planting and maintenance, he has been helpful when I've encountered pests and fungus. In addition, he has given some good suggestions on landscaping (which I am in the process of doing). Definitely my go-to guy.

We had them install cabinets and countertops. The price was high. The countertops took awhile to get installed due to how long it took the cabinets to be installed. The cabinets still have writing that you can see on the side that has been shallacked over. They used two different color screws. They still have not addressed the writing on the cabinets. They have compensated with us at times by gift cards but have not finished the work. They do not seem to really care until you continously follow up with them to make them finish the work. This has been over a years process.

Everything involved in the measuring, ordering and purchasing of the window through Lowes went just fine. I would suggest a different sub-contractor that they used from the local area. Everything went fine at first with the installation, until the first rains hit of the monsoon season. It was like a waterfall coming from the top of my master bedroom window. I called them back and they re-caulked the window. However, during the next rain, it still was leaking. Not as bad as the first time, but still enough that I had to fasten a tarp up around the window. I decided to have another company come in to fix it. The ratings below are for Lowes, not the sub-contractor.

I liked the price, they had a sale and I got a good price. Everything was great except for the time limit. Once I got the installation it was good and it was just that from the time I purchased it to the time the actual install happened.

They do a good job. They are professional all the way, make sure everything is getting done; like some people actually came to our house to make sure everything was going well. I would say if you want a good job done then Lowe's is a good place to check out.

The guy who came in did not want to go through the work of running the wires. He simply connected the old tube and wire to the new ones. The wire connected to the dishwasher has been there for about 20 years. I went back to them and they made it look like I was the bad guy. I would not recommend them.

We just went to the store and they were delivered to our house.

They hire people to do the installation job. They did a great job. They picked up everything and said that if we had any problems then they would come out and fix it. One sill on the inside on the inside of the window didn’t look right so we called them and they came and repaired it. Also, in previous years we have purchased a dryer from them and had it delivered. They came and delivered it and installed it on time. I ran the first load and heard a rattling so I called them. Right after I hung up the phone the delivery crew contacted me and told me to go to Lowe's and pick out a new one and they told me they would bring it out to me that same day. Another purchase we made at Lowe's was a sliding patio door. The guy came out to measure the area, came out when he said he would and cleaned up after himself. I was happy with the work. And told me if I had any problems with it then they would come out and fix whatever needed to be done.

We left without making any purchases.

After the poor response from Lowe's Sierra Vista store manager I wrote the CEO of Lowe's, Mr. Niblock. A week or so later I got a call from a Lowe's customer service representative, Ms. Diana Kindred. I again explained what happened. She asked if all the problems I had had with Lowe's were resolved after my letter to the CEO (there were other problems with defective products). I told her yes except for the rude owner of the other company. She said she'd talk to the store manager and find out what happened. I never heard back from her or Mr. Stalker again. I wrote a second letter to Mr. Niblock, Lowe's CEO. This time I got a call from someone in Tucson named Bill. Basically, our 15 minute conversation boiled down to him telling me that Lowe's looks into all complaints about their subcontractors. Again, that's it! Bottom line for me is that Lowe's cares more about their subcontractors than their customers. Nobody from Lowe's has ever said they were sorry for the other company's behavior. Nobody from Lowe's ever asked if there was anything they could do to help. All I got was the comment, "The owner is a good installer." Unfortunately, it seems, not as good as Lowe's thinks he is. A side note to this is that I was told by the Lowe's kitchen designer, Irene, that I'd be getting two $500 rebates based on the kitchen cabinets I chose. Months later I only had received one. Told Lowe's about the second missing rebate and was told my the store manager that he could not do anything. When I mentioned that in my letter to Lowe's CEO things finally changed and a month later I got the second rebate for $250, not the $500 I was promised. I again brought this to the store managers attention and was told that Irene was mistaken. The rebate was for $250. I'm sorry but I feel that if a representative of Lowe's told me (or anyone) they'd getting a rebate for X dollars then that promise should be honored. Maybe the employee needs to brush up on sales and promotions and if they make a mistake and promise a customer something then the store needs to honor that promise. Too many things went wrong with this remodeling using Lowe's. If someone asked me in the future who I recommend they use for this kind of remodeling, I will tell them Home Depot.
