T.L. Plumbing

I had leaks in my home and my neighbor had at least 3 - Pipes corroded at the meter from improper grade of steel pipe. Copper pipes were bent to make 45 degree angles (in order to not use the proper copper fittings and charge the builder more) - causing stress to the copper and eventual leaks. Solder joints were never tested and dry-walled over the leaks. Hot tubs leaked and kitchen island leaks. Called TL plumbing to repair and he never showed up out of embarrassment. Had to hire local contractors to re-do the work to proper code and spec. Classic sub contractor attitude of " I just don't care"... Hard to imagine in a smaller size town.

He called ahead of his arrival and did the work quickly, chatted a bit. The system is working fine.

Our first experiences with John Lawler were a pleasure, however, after now having dealt with him on a few occasions, I have to say he's a bit overpriced (ex; $190 to change out filters in a water system, $224 to change out the salt container on our salt water system (which neither my husband nor I can remember requesting.. he showed up with a larger one, one day and said he wanted to switch it out because another customer of his needed one our size, we thought it was a free switch out)). I also found him a bit difficult. He left important paperwork necessary for our new gas line to become functional in our home (while we were not living there but others were working there), did not inform us it was there or that there was even paperwork we needed to do anything with in our home. When we arrived to move in, there was no paperwork. This delay caused our gas line to not become usable for an extra two weeks and forcing an extra delay on our new pool to become functional. I found him to be a nice enough person, however, I did not like how he would just walk into my home without ringing the doorbell at times. As work continued, he at least texted before coming and started asking when a good time to come by was but by that time, his welcome was already worn out. My last experience with him, he handed me an invoice from TL Plumbing, I went in and made out the check, came out and gave it to him. He then said he had asked that the check be made directly to him, which I did not hear, nor agree with as I do think it is illegal to do this and when I said "isn't that illegal?" , he got a very angry look on his face, turned quickly and left without a word. Very unprofessional. I have found a large wooden spool, which held the tubing for the gas line he installed, left in our backyard instead of hauled away. He still has some work to be done on the gas line that was delayed by paperwork, and I hope it will be done soon, as I am no longer comfortable dealing with him and won't use him in the future. Please note: Because of my last encounter with John Lawler, I am even confused if he is officially "TL Plumbing".
