Ben Shor (Shor Solutions) started working with us over 10 years ago, after we had gone through several bookkeepers of mid-low quality. Ben's company was hired to assist us with the books and the various related needs of the two corporations and one non-profit organization we managed at that time. Currently my husband and I operate a small general contracting company in New York State. With Ben's assistance we have grown this business, but more importantly, he helped us design and implement bookkeeping systems that enable us to track by job all attributable expenses so that we can pinpoint what type projects are profitable, and see, if not profitable, why not. He is extremely knowledgeable with Quickbooks and an excellent teacher. He was very organized and proactive. He is personable and very willing to help organizations with best-practices in using Quickbooks.

I was unbelievably stressed over Quickbooks. I had been on Quickbooks since 2010 and had spent hours and hours trying to adapt it to my unique needs. I wasn't using the checking section at all and had difficulty pulling the right reports. Finally, I had hired someone else to do it for me and she completely messed it up because she started entering thru the checking register things I had already entered though sales receipts. Then she quit after three months and left me with a huge mess. I was so upset. Ben literally came to my rescue and showed me how to set up a system that made sense for me, how to enter and reconcile accounts and how to run reports. He did it all with grace and calm, no matter how upset and stressed I got, and was always happy to take my frantic phone calls and walk me thru whatever situation I had gotten myself into (I once deleted accounts that had already been reconciled). This took multiple visits by Ben for hours at a time (hence the fee mentioned, plus lots of homework on my part to fix the year. I am no accountant, but under Ben's grace and guidance, I now feel confident with my QB skills and, even more important, that the input and reporting is accurate. I highly recommend Ben for anyone struggling with QB and accounting.

Very well. Ben is still providing these accounting services every week, 14 hours per week. He is very attentive to detail, very precise and communicates well with all staff.
