It appears asking for variations in bid caused a melt down of sorts, but that was not communicated to us which would have been the professional thing to do if it really was asking too much. However in my/our experience over the years it is not too much to ask and most contractors businesses - the ones that are really good - are set up to handle such requests pretty easily.
Description of Work: Flooring for 3 rooms and a hallway. Came out and measured etc, we asked for 3 simple variations on bid and that resulted in him just blowing us off completely. So the lack of respect for our needs and of course not getting any bid after both of us investing time in collecting all the information for a bid = not interested in this owner/company.
