I highly recommend this company! We have never had an incident and our home is always sparkling. I am especially please with the staff as they are always very sensitive when we are home during a cleaning, they add many extra touches including straightening our bed, putting the dogs toys back in there central location, putting things back where they were, always ask if there are areas needing special attention and generally just friendly and professional!! Whenever we have a special cleaning request we have always been accommodated as needed. The consistency of cleaning and flexibility is greatly appreciated. The owner of the company always checks in to be sure we are satisfied and happy. Thank you Maids of the Valley!!

I was very pleased with the price for the amount of work involved, and the quality of Lisa Hartman's workers. The cleaners worked quickly and efficently. Another thing that was important to me was green cleaning products, which they were more than willing to accomadate me on.They showed up on time and did a nice job.

Although I did not use the service, the interview was thorough and professional.
Description of Work: I needed assistance with house cleaning on a temporary basis and did not know whether I wanted a service or an individual. Lisa Hartman came to my house just a couple of days after I called and gave me a complete rundown on what they do and gave me a reasonable price. She had a formal contract with all enumerated. She has bonding and insurance. I had two recommendations from local acquaintances. But I decided I just wanted one person and the same one every time so I hired an independent contractor instead. I would go to Maids of the Valley if I needed a special thorough or seasonal cleaning. I like that they are local and have been working in the area for a long while.

Lisa came to see the size of the job about a week in advance and gave me an estimate of $250. I asked if this was based on an hourly rate, and she said sort of, but there was some padding in there in case of the unexpected, that my actual bill would probably be less since my house was already so clean and there would be no furniture or any other objects to have to dust or clean or work around. We agreed that two of her workers would come a week later at 9 o'clock. She left a message on my phone several days later that because of an injury, one of the women she had scheduled to work for me would be unable to and that she was going to send two men instead, but they could not arrive until 11 o'clock. When no one had arrived by 11:30, I called Lisa and left a message to that effect. She called back several minutes later and said that the two men and quot;were just around the cornerand quot; and would be there shortly. They arrived 15 minutes later, one of them carrying a paperbag from a fast food restaurant, possibly containing his lunch. The men were there for slightly less than three hours. I spent the time in the garage, packing my car for my departure the next morning, so don't know if they were working the entire time, but the sounds coming from the house suggested they were keeping busy.When they were done and I asked if I was to pay them, they said no. I generally found the work they had done to be satisfactory, although after they left I discovered that one of them had dumped a pail of dirty, soapy water onto the deck instead of disposing of it more properly. I thought Lisa might call that afternoon, to confirm that I was satisfied with the service provided and arrange for payment, but she did not. She had what was about to become my former address, and I thought she might mail a bill to me there, from where it would be forwarded to my summer address. Instead, a week later, she sent a text message to my phone, objecting to the fact that I'd left town without paying her and threatening to put a lien on my property (which would have been impossible, if only because I'd just sold it) if I didn't immediately send her a check for $250. I sent her the check, but I found her behavior most unprofessional.
Description of Work: All of my belongings had been removed from my 1340 square foot house with cathedral ceiling in preparation for the closing of its sale. The house was quite clean as I'd been keeping it clean while it was on the market, and was cleaning out cupboards and drawers as I removed items for packing. For the last day I would be in the house before leaving town for the summer, I scheduled to have the floors washed, carpets vacuumed, cobwebs and and any other conspicuous pots removed from the walls, bathroom and kitchen surfaces cleaned, not including the inside of the refrigerator, which I took care of. They did not clean the windows I can't assess the price I was charged because I've never had this service provided before and I didn't get estimates from other cleaners for comparison purposes.

We feel that it was very responsible that we called in advance to notify our client that there would be a change in teams and arrival times. That is one of the benefits of a professional cleaning service. If an employee misses a shift for any reason we can substitute teams rather than leave our clients in a bind. We do not ever specify an exact arrival time, but prefer to give approximate times so as not to set unrealistic expectations as we do not leave a job until it is complete and cleaning times tend to vary from visit to visit depending on the condition of the home on any given cleaning day. We also feel that arriving at 11:15 as opposed to 11:00 is not at all unacceptable especially since we work in a popular tourist area and traffic can be difficult to anticipate. We also encourage our teams to grab lunch between jobs to ensure the maintain adequate energy for the physical work that they do, Happy employees make for happy customers. When we did the estimate for this particular job we were told that the client would be in the home packing all day while we cleaned and our cleaning team reports that they offered to help with any heavy lifting as our client was packing as well as making her to walk through the home and inspect their work before they left. The captain of the cleaning team that did the work that day has worked with us for 18 years and is very popular and has a regular clientele and works with our company to this day. Our time records and payroll sheets show that the team completed the job in just over four hours and got a thumbs up before leaving the property. They do admit to dumping water from window cleaning outside on the deck and we openly admit that we could have made a better decision in that regard. However, the bucket only contained water mixed with vinegar that we were using to attempt to remove some hard water spots that our service area is famous for and the team didn't want to empty it inside the freshly cleaned house. It was not a toxic or harmful substance by any means. While emptying the bucket on the deck may not have been the wisest choice, emptying buckets outside is common practice in Sedona because of septic system issues. Our services our guaranteed and had we heard that our client was dissatisfied in any way she would gladly have returned and addresses any issues free of charge. If we don't get it perfect the first time we do it again, for free and often try to find something extra to do to show our good will. In this case the team asked the client to contact the office to arrange for payment and we never heard from her. We made several attempts to reach her by phone and got no response until we said that we would be forced to place a mechanics lien on the property for payment for services rendered. We feel that this client was attempting to leave town and skip out on paying her bill. We also feel that it is very unfair to make a complaint and allege that we were unprofessional without ever having even made as much as one phone call to give us an opportunity to rectify the situation directly. We have been providing service in the area for 18 years now and would never knowingly leave someone dissatisfied, but we have to be made aware of any concerns so we can address them. In any case this client may still contact us at any time to discuss the issues she had with our company and we are still willing to make whatever amends necessary to leave her with a positive feeling about her experience and clear up what are quite obvious misunderstandings on both ends.
