Upon calling the plumber on late Sunday for emergency work on Monday, the plumber only called around noon on Monday. By that time i had already called another plumber who was out to fix the problem within two hours. The plumber told me he was too busy to return my call in a prompt manner.
Description of Work: This plumber has performed several plumbing jobs at my home over the past 10 years. Prices are higher than most plumbers in the area but the work was exceptional. However, during the past three years, workmanship has declined and punctuality is nil. For example, most recently I called on a Sunday for "emergency" work the following day, Monday. I never received a phone call untill noon Monday at which time I had already contacted another plumber. When I was finally called, I was told he was too busy to call me back (and at least let me know he was coming to fix the problem). There are many choice we consumers have and this plumber is not a good choice.

Wow! I've waited four years to be able to share this story! I'd just purchased a home and needed a new hot water heater. I got Kincheloe's name from a list provided by my realtor whom I now suspect of getting service kickbacks from his referrals. When I called for an estimate on a new hot water heater, I got some run-around by the secretary, which quickly digressed into a conversation about how essentially Kincheloe does nothing without seeing the color of your money first, not even estimates. Being new in town, and needing the hot water heater, and assuming erroneously that my realtor wouldn't steer me wrong, I went ahead and promised on my mother's grave I'd have the money when they showed up. The plumber was late -- okay, I'm used to dealing with the trades -- but what un-nerved me was the absolute glee on his face and his crocodile smile that here I was, another sucker to be fleeced. He removed the old unit and installed the new apparent Rolls Royce of water heaters, snatched my check and roared off into the gathering dusk. Since then, I've encountered a wonderful plumber, Robert Hatchett, who does beautiful work at a reasonable cost. It'll be a cold day in h*** if I ever call Kincheloe again. Predator alert!
Description of Work: I'd purchased a home which needed a new hot water heater. KIncheloe removed the old unit and installed the new one for an exorbitant price. What did I know as a woman in a strange town? Predator alert!

Kincheloe Plumbing was called because they are "licensed" and I expected the work to be done professionally and at a reasonable price. What a nightmare! An inexperienced plumber of one year was sent to a residential job to fix one leaking faucet, one worn out shower handle, and a minor leak under the kitchen sink. A quote was NOT forthcoming until the work had begun. As an aside, the plumber said, this will cost $300. I said, "I was not expecting such a high price to fix minor plumbing problems." He said, that is the going rate. Since he was already into the job, I thought, I will just pay it, fully expecting the job to be done perfectly. All he did on the kitchen sink was insert a 2 cent plastic 'O' ring and charged $80. All he did was replace a cheap shower handle @ $2.00 cost and charged $90. Rather than fix the leak in a laundry sink spigot , he told me the entire spigot had to be replaced and charged me $140 = $310 total ripoff! The plot thickens. Neither the repair in the shower handle or the laundry sink worked at all and could not be used all weekend!!!!!!! Kincheloe had to be called back three times to repair their repairs!!!!!!! I call this highway Robbery with a capital "R!" I've had better work done by UNlicensed plumbers who at least take some pride in their work and charge reasonable fees. Forewarned is forearmed!!!!!
Description of Work: Minor leak under kitchen sink Non functioning shower knob Leaking cold water spigot @ laundry sink that supplies water to the washing machine

We successfully located a leak at our master bath faucet ourselves, but required a plumber to make the actual repair. We contacted Kincheloe Plumbing an made an appointment to do the work. We arranged a date, but did not specify an exact time as we were flexible. The plumber arranged to be at the home first thing in the morning, but called to say he would be late - around noon. He did arrive at noon per his revised estimated time of arrival. He reviewed the leak, and estimated $250 to fix the bad braise. We chose to accept his quote as we wanted it fixed. He completed the work in 2 hours, and tested to insure that the leak was gone. The work appeared satisfactory. He did not make too much of a mess, although he did enlarge the hole in the drywall significantly. The cost was the same $250 he estimated, plus approximately $10 in tax.

Kincheloe did not give the estimate until they arrived. I had waited a couple of days and needed to get the work done. They charged $540. There were no major problems that they told me about. Their two employees were there about an hour and a half. If they had told me ahead of time I would not have used them. They installed new toilets a couple of years ago for about $100 each, and I did not expect it to cost more than that.
Description of Work: Reinstall two toilets after tile was put in. One - the tile person said the flange (?) looked a little off The second one had had a shim and needed something to make it level.
