Description of Work: I had an unusual carpentry project. I had bought a corner cabinet and I wanted to insert it into my existing pantry cabinets. I had measured and the fit was close. The carpenter made it look perfect. He had to custom cut some trim that required an extra trip but he came back the next day and finished it nicely. Will definitely use him again on finished carpentry projects.

Description of Work: I had them come to a rental home I own to diagnose and fix a washer electrical outlet not working. The repairman met the very picky tenant, was very courteous and spent time testing the circuits. However, he was unable to diagnose the issue, concluding the wire was faulty somewhere in the attic, charging $75 for the service call. Days later the tenant had their electrical guy come out to find that the circuit breaker was not set, flicked the switch and problem solved. What further can I say?

Description of Work: We are in the process of putting our house on the market and had a number of issues that required fixing. They replaced or repaired the following: the facing and the shelf under the kitchen sink; replaced two sets of florescent lights and the ballast for each in garage; replaced 3 smoke detectors (we have 27' high ceilings); repaired two closet doors (door dividers at bottom of sliding doors & brass inserts to open doors); fixed bathroom drawer (face of drawer came off); repaired hole in oak door for bar; replaced weather strip at bottom of garage door; fixed all four legs on bench kept at bottom of bed; and made sure propane fireplace in back yard was working correctly. It took them 9 hours and they only charged for 8 including the trips to Home Depot for materials. We were very happy with the service, the professionalism, and the expertise of the individual that came to the house. We would use them again and highly recommend them to your patrons.

Description of Work: Called Kerry to check on price for installing a thermostat. It's not something he does, but he gave me a referral to a heating & cooling company he trusts with over 40 years experience. It was nice that he took the time to make a referral. Will consider calling the Handyman Next Door for other jobs.
