They were very professional. In dealing with future projects, they evaluated them all and gave me their idea which was the most important to accomplish, an estimate and were giving me the time to save for each of the more major projects needed done. I am going to call them again as soon as I have saved enough to cover the next project.

Purchased deal for ceiling fan installation. The first guy arrived on 5/31/2012. He installed both fans (kitchen and living room), but did struggle getting the fans installed properly. After a couple days we noticed the fan in the kitchen had considerable wobble, so we gave them a call and they sent a different guy on 6/2/2012. He re installed the fan in the kitchen and made sure the other fan was installed correctly. The Handyman next door corrected the problem and both fans are running with no issues.

Our jobs are larger than this company handles, but Kerry was very helpful, anyway! He recommended a contractor, and he told me about a locating service that I think we will need.

I found Handyman Next Door on Angie's list. The handyman company I had used was no longer in business and I liked the name of this company. When I called I spoke with a gentleman who was responsive and professional; shared with me the story of how the company got its name and that they had been in business for more than 20 years. Dolan arrived when scheduled. I was moving and had called them to help out with some things that the movers weren't going to be doing for me. I was unaware of the two hour minimum requirement and the work I needed to have done wasn't two hours worth of time. Dolan offered to help me at my new home with about an hours worth of work at no additional charge. I will definitely follow up on that as well as begin grouping my small jobs together to call them again in the future.

We were happy with the work and the time frame used to complete it. The quality of the finished product exceeded our expectations.

The Handyman Next Door showed up exactly on time. He quickly ascertained what needed to be done and then set out to complete the work. The work performed consisted of: reinstalling a linen closet shelf that had previously been incorrectly installed ; installtion of ceiling and floor molding . The workman took pride in his workmanship, I will definitely use Handyman Next Door for future home repairs

I needed some ceiling fans, a chandelier and a wall mount for a tv installed. Dolan came prepared for all the services needed. Dolan let me know that I'd need different cables for the tv to work on the wall-mounting versus the cable that was provided. He told me exactly what I needed. After everything was installed, he even helped to set-up the tv. and since i'm at a loss for all those buttons on the remote, this was a welcome relief. Something wasn't allowing him to get the volume set, as there was a picture, but no sound. He called his son, who is a whiz at these things, and still could not get it to work. He called Sony for their help, finding out that the tv had sound, meaning the cable box or something else was at fault. He called Cox, and they determined that the remote was the problem. He tried new batteries and that wasn't the problem. Cox told him that the remote needed to be replaced-at no charge. Dolan had another job to do that afternoon that day, and he offered to go exchange the remote for me, as it was on his way to the next job; and that he would bring it to me after he completed his other work. He dropped it buy and made sure that it was set-up correctly and that it was OK. I tell you ALL of this because Dolan didn't charge a dime for all this extra help with phone calls and setting up the tv and exchanging the remote. Dolan went WAY beyond what was expected of his services. WHAT A GUY! Dolan is a true gem in the world of handymen. He was efficient, did everything I had asked him to do, was on time, and was very courteous and personable. If I EVER have anything in my home that requires a handyman, I would always place that first call to Dolan! And you should, as well!!!!!

Went well overall. Kerry was punctual, polite and did a great job.

I called to get a quote of the kitchen faucet and two sinks. I ended up not going with this company only because I couldn't get our schedules to line up

It went very well. Dolan is very polite and pleasant and puts thought into his work. He works steadily and gets the job done! He even went out and purchased an outdoor wireless outlet for me for my Xmas lights. He seems to put extra effort into helping out with things.

The primary reason I called was a really heavy 18 foot wide tapestry drape that needed to be hung from a 16' ceiling... I knew I'd never be able to do it myself but I also knew it was too small a project for a contractor. I called the handyman on a Tuesday. They were booked through the week so Kerry sent someone over on Saturday morning. Chris arrived on time, he was extremely professional, yet approachable. He needed almost no direction. It was simply the best experience I've ever had with a service provider in my home. In fact, we were a little short on things to fill the 2 hour minimum and he actually FOUND a couple of things to fix to fill the time. My husband has cancer, so I was busy taking care of him. Chris went about his business without bothering a soul. Everything he did has remained fixed, so he didn't take any "short cuts" either. The mirrors he hung, a few of which are complicated multi-piece patterns that require some figuring to hang correctly, were up in no time and he never even hammered a single nail in the wrong place. Most impressively, the drapery & rod, which conservatively weigh a hundred and fifty pounds, was mounted & on the wall in less than half an hour. Not only will I use them again, but I'll recommend this company without reservation & I don't "do" recommendations! I was really, really impressed! Thank you Chris!! Beth

I called to ask for ceiling fan installation in the living room. I was told it would take about 45 minutes and since there was a two-hr minimum, they would do other little things as well. Also told them the ceiling was quite high, so definitely need a tall ladder. Cory showed up right on time, but with a too short ladder. He finished up the little things, measured the ceiling height, and asked me to make another appointment for him to come back and finish the installation. I did not want to spend another $150 on this ceiling fan, so after two months I called up Kerry and told him I really was not happy that I had to pay again. He did not know that the service was not completed and of course, they would come out to finish the job without additional charge. Cory showed up the second time still with the too short ladder. Actually it was the same height as the last one. He said he would call when they found a taller ladder. I have not heard back from them since. And the summer is over!!!! Also, I mentioned that I was Angie's List member and asked for discount. I got the 10% discount while there was another discount which was $100 for $150 of services. They failed to mention the one with deeper discount. But the key is that they have never finished the job and never followed up. service dates 4/25, 6/27

He is going to charge $25 an hour. He has been really good so far. It is the second time I am using him. He did what he said he was going to do and he did a good job of what he said he was going to do.

Upon arrival, he assesed the job and called for a second person to give him a hand with the moving of the appliances. While the second person was enroute, he began disconnecting the appliances and was ready for the heavy work when the helper arrived. Both appliances were installed on the correct pedestals, leveled, attached to the pedestals, reconnected and placed the other pedestals in my van for return in about 2-hours.

Dolan (works for Kerry, the owner) arrived at my home right on time. He was very friendly, courteous and professional. He did all the repairs for which I asked. He got to work right away and did a wonderful job of reattaching the dryer vent and caulking all around the area where the dryer vent hose goes into the wall. He also repaired the small piece of drywall that was missing. He looked at the cracked kitchen window and explained what kind of repair would be needed and the size and type of window it was. He then proceeded to do a fantastic job of repairing the leak in the sprinkler drip system in the front yard. I am extremely happy with the work done by this company. I would definitley use them again and highly recommend them to anyone. Exceptionally well-done job!!

The medicine cabinet was bigger than the older one, so Dolan explained that it would not fit into the old space saving us a bunch of money to have the hole made bigger. He asked my wife exactly where she wanted the second cabinet and installed it just where she asked him to. Both jobs make the bathroom look much better. The screen door was a bit harder and we were told to buy a plate for the bottom that can be screwed on. He also informed us that the door closer that came with the screen door made the door slam shut fast and suggested we use the one we bought just in case, and it worked much better. Very good work, and asked how we wanted the 2 projects done before starting. Will use this contractor again for sure.

Was very pleased from start to finish. I had emailed from Angie's list after 5:00pm and received a call the next day. They charge $75/hour with a two hour minimum. We made an appointment. They quoted 8:00am and showed up at 8:00am. I wish we had more work for them because they were done in about an hour and 15 minutes and offered to stay. I would definitely recommend them and use them again. We are already compiling a "honey do" list.

I had developed a list of projects around the house that we couldn't fix ourselves. When I called Handyman Next Door, he answered right away and we set an appointment for the repairs. He showed up on time, was very polite, tidy, and knew what he was doing. He looked at everything I had and did have to leave to get some parts. The main items were a toilet that was not flushing properly, a leaky showerhead and replacing a broken lightswitch. He did end up having to order another part and come back another day. In the interim, he also researched a repair on my doorbell. Because it's linked to the intercom system, he was not able to determine how to fix it. I really appreciated his honesty about that as well as letting me know that though he was willing to do it, replacing another broken showerhead was extremely easy and we could do it ourselves. I have an older home and have used other handymen in the past. These guys were reliable, fair and honest, which unfortunately has not always been my experience elsewhere. I would definitely recommend them and use them again!

Our handyman, Cory, was outstanding. Prompt, courteous, professional and extremely competent. We had a few pieces to hang that took a little ingenuity to get the effect we were going for - he was creative and a problem solver, making sure it looked exactly how we wanted in the end without any fuss. We are already booking him again for future projects. A+.

I contacted Casey using the link on his website. I asked for an estimate and whether I should buy the coupon listed on this site for $100 for $150 dollars worth of ceiling fan work. He told me the rate is $75/hr and that my job would probably take 3 hours, so the coupon would save me money. I purchased the coupon that same day and was able to set up an appointment by email for a day later that wek. I was given a one hour time frame and the handyman arrived within that time frame. Everything went smootly. I was actually expecting it to cost a little more because he was here about 2 and 1/2 hours but I was only charged for 2 hours and my coupon covered that. I was very happy with the service and I would use them again
