External wall repair. He replaced the insulation, put up chicken wire and then stuccoed over the opening. AFter the stucco dried he found some old paint I had from the last time the house was painted and painted over the stucco. The paint had become a little watery so he applied three coats. Once the paint dried I can't tell where he patched the wall. That is the earmark of an excellent job. Kitchen cabinet base floor. He removed the ruined pieces of the floor, built a new base and cut and installed a new floor at just the right height. Again, an excellent job.

Dolan did a great job filling in & painting where the concrete had pulled away from the baseboard area in our garage. This is the third time he has done work for us and he is always on time, reasonable in his pricing and cleans up the work area. He even moved shelving back in place afterwards.

I ordered the tiles from Bedrosians that I liked and John from The Handyman Next Door went and picked it up for me and delivered it to my garage for storage until the project was scheduled. The guys showed up bright and early. I had already prepped the area a few days ahead with clearing the family room and kitchen. And also blocking a walk way to the rest of the house with a couple of curtains of plastic to pass through in attempt to lessen the dust. The guys also covered the cabinets/countertops and the rest of laminate flooring with cardboard or blankets. They then moved my refrigerator and plugged it in to another outlet for me so I could still use it. They demo'd the old tile in one day because it was easy to lift up from the previous glue. The 2nd day they cut and laid the tile. The 3rd day they laid the trim for my laminate and finished. They removed the plastic and replaced the refrigerator for me. I took care of the cleaning of the kitchen and family room and replacing all of the nick nacks. They were very good. I will be using them again for my other projects. These guys are great!

The handyman was on time and polite. He answered all my questions. I would hire this company again definitely!

I had one french door making a popping sound from temperature changes within the double panes of glass. I had many estimates to replace both doors with labor. One company wanted over $6k and that was Anderson doors! Insane! Those things are made of wood....you don't put wood doors on the outside of a house in a dry desert climate; they shrink. I went back to The Handyman Next Door and they gave me a good estimate so I decided to also replace my other set of doors because of the sunlight that comes in another room. I ordered the Low E and without the wood brackets inside the glass to give just an open glass look. The installer and his assistant were great and on time. They did a great job. I will be using them again for a future job.

We are very satisfied with all of the projects and repairs that Dave has done. We will continue to use The Handyman Next Door for any future repairs.

He is returning to do a few more things. I will definitely keep The Handyman Next Door number close by and call whenever I need help. Very professional, friendly, and did great work!

Handyman Next Door employee did outstanding job of a number of small items, including repairs, hanging mirrors, carrying furniture upstairs, fixing door plus answered my questions about potential project and explained handyman work they could provide to support the assist with my project. They called to let me know exactly when he would arrive and arrived on time & was very professional! I will use them again very soon in the future.

I had list of a bunch of items, some of which I wasn't even sure were within the capabilities of a handyman. Not only did he seal off the doggy door, he also completed every single other item on the list, for example: fixing cabinets, repainting a section of a wall, resealing doors, and fixing an internal door that would not latch correctly. The only minor negative is that they are so good that they are quite busy, so you will have to wait about a week before they can get to you.

I will not work with any service provider who doesn't take the time to meet and look at the project. He would only "estimate" based on photos which couldn't capture the work needed. Very disappointed...

It was a positive experience. Flexible and concerned about my needs. He was also willing to help out with the electrician we had come out at the same time. When the electrical guy need some additional tidbits he helped out. He didn't have to do that, but I really appreciated it.

Dave was super. He answered questions, pointed out potential problems and worked quickly and neatly. I would definitely use these services again, especially if I could have Dave.

I was impressed how all of the tools were laid out neatly, a cloth protected the floor and he left paper towels in the cabinet to inform me of any leaks.

Dolan is the best and like a member of our family. He is prompt and responsive. He always does a great job and can fix anything. He painted our kids room when we first moved in and did the most amazing job.

Great. Good communication & right on time. The kitchen light was more complicated than it sounds. Large circular fixture that was kind of stuck. Repairman not only got it off but went & bought the bulb & completed the whole job. He then instructed me on how to do it next time. He took the light down on one of my lighted fans to show me how to replace the light & what bulb to buy. He put together my patio furniture just perfectly & even took the box & garbage for me! I am widowed so am so glad to find a good handyman!

Dolan is a dynamo! The entire project took three days (spread over 3 weeks). We had received quotes from three general contractors to do this work and were quoted upwards of $15,000. Our main concern was the interior windows of our den (now our daughter's bedroom) because we were afraid it was too big a job for a handyman and the texturing wouldn't match or be level. When I first contacted the Handyman Next Door, I provided Kerry with a list of what needed to be done and explained that we wanted the windows in the den removed and walled in. Kerry said Dolan would a**** the job once he arrived. When Dolan arrived, he said he could handle the den without hesitation, but it would have to be another day. I was elated! He was also not made aware he needed to replace our water heater. He was only told the base needed repairing so there was a bit of a miscommunication there. I had Lowe's deliver the new water heater and haul off the old one. It was pushing 113 degrees that day and the unit was delivered at high noon. Dolan worked alone in the garage and I begged him to let me help, but he handled the entire project himself. One side note, when Lowe's hauled off the old water heater, Dolan had forgot to remove some couplings he needed for the new water heater and had to run to get the parts he needed. It was a human mistake, any one could have forgotten it. The part was only $25.00 so it was no big deal. Dolan showed up when he said he would, worked continually throughout the day, took a lunch break and never charged me for an additional minute. Be careful when having anything new installed that he doesn't toss the original packaging though. I wasn't too thrilled with the light fixture I purchased for one of the bathrooms and now I cannot return it because he threw out the packaging. Same goes for a hand-held shower head that we discovered was leaky after he installed it. It cost almost $60.00 and he took the price off the bill since I couldn't return it without the packaging. He is as honest as the day is long and I would highly recommend him.

Dolan showed up on time and took care of the utility doors to align them so they can close smoothly. My old house is about 28 years old and it took him a little time to align the doors. Then he climbed on my one story roof and replaced 3 broken roof tiles that I had extra in my garage. Everything went very well. I would use this company again!

I had called to arrange for the moulding to be added to my laundry room doors and transition strips installed in three places where my wood floor meets tile. Additionally, I needed a light fixture reinstalled. When Dave arrived he said that the transition strips I purchased (that were sold with my flooring!) were not good ones and he would prefer not to install as they might come up in 6 months. I was told at Home Depot that these were the correct strips for the brand of wood flooring I had. Dave said he would research a better solution and get back to me, yet nearly two months later my floor remains incomplete and no return message from Dave. Next, I had asked for the moulding to be installed around the doors. He said he couldnt do it because it needed some shims or filler wood. Fine. I understood this, although it did seem odd that a handy man doesnt have something like this with him. Next, my electrician had installed our new bathroom light crooked. I didnt have the patience to hold it and unhook all of the wires to properly rehang the light so I asked Dave. He apparently didnt have the patience either as he didnt undo the wiring but instead shimmied it into a semi-straight, but now not flesh with the wall, light display that still drives me crazy. I had to scramble to find something for him to do since I had to pay the two hour minimum, so I asked him to hang one cabinet and my freshly painted cabinet doors. While hanging the cabinet he broke one of the pieces of glass that was to be installed in a cabinet door. He told me this as he was packing his things and once outside my door asked if I would like for him to replace it. Clearly he didnt actually want to go to the have the glass cut as he made the gesture when he was already leaving. So, I had to uninstall the cabinet door he had just hung, drive to the store to purchase and have another piece of glass cut which caused me to wait 45 minutes. Although he did take some money of the bill, my time is more precious than money which is why I hired the Handy Man Connection in the first place.

Arrived on time, was very quick in getting replacement done. Continues to work fine. This was a good lesson in reading the fine print, I thought price included the replacement disposal unit due to the way the offer is composed and the pictures. It didn't, so I had to spend an additional $75 on a disposal unit.

Prompt and professional. The security doors were removed cleanly and in good condition so I could have them reinstalled later. This was my second time using this company, and they did not disappoint. Kerry was able to work with my need for a rush appointment time, which was very appreciated. Recommended.

Dave is as good as other reviewers have said. He was prompt, professional, and clean. He even came by a couple of days later to reset and caulk the exterior dryer vent that had fallen into the exterior wall allowing rain to enter into the laundry room. It was a quick fix at no extra charge. Well worth the price.
