Guy discovered that a breaker had been tripped. While there, Guy also checked everything out to confirm whether there would be a future problem. I was charged only for the service call.

We called and a nice guy picked up the phone. He was immediately patient and helpful as a told him what we needed done. He knew everything I was talking about and suggested options over the phone. It worked out that he had an electrician who could come over and start work within 2 hours. The electrician was super knowledgable and experienced. He looked at the work we needed done and gave us a reasonable estimate. He talked us through each work item letting us know what our options were. For example, our kitchen light switch was getting hot after being on for a while. He said it was the dimmer option, and we could either install a higher rated switch or make it non-dimmable. A lot of our electrical was done by the previous homeowner. When in our attic he pointed out some wiring that wasn't to code. We appreciated it him letting us know, and we had that fixed also. We had more work than they could do in one day so he came back the next day with a helper. They were right on time, professional and very experienced. The charges were extremely reasonable considering how much work we had done. Next time we need any electrical work help, we will definitely call Swenson Electric.

Everything went well. Swenson arrived on time. All work was done quickly and efficiently. They also were super neat. I will hire them for all my electrical work in the future.

Guy Swenson quoted a fair price and completed the work for that price...He also showed up on time, kept us informed at all times of the progress and maintained constant communication with the inspectors and power company to make sure we were not without power any longer than was absolutely necessary...

Guy provided an estimate over the phone and it was reasonably close to the final total. Swenson was able to get to us promptly after we asked that they do the work. Casey and David were on time, professional in appearance, very pleasant to deal with and communicated with us well during the process. They showed us the options available to us for placement of the fan and did as we asked on venting the unit. They cleaned up after themselves well and were done in under 2 hours. After they departed, we noticed that while in the attic, they had apparently stepped on a sprinkler head fitting and caused it to drop quite a bit from the ceiling and separate from the trim piece around it. However, I was able to get it more or less back where it belonged after climbing into the attic and working with it for a while. I did not report this issue to Swenson, but I am sure they would have returned to straighten it out had I asked them to do so. It is often hard to tell where you are stepping in an attic full of insulation. We will not hesitate to call them for future electrical work.

The first time we used Swenson we had nothing but compliments. However, I called them back because we were experiencing problems with our X10 and pool light. They quoted $800-$1,000 to fix the issues due to the fact it was faulty wiring from our landscape contractor. I called the landscape contractor and he agreed to fix the work so I didn't need to use Swenson. I was then charged $131.14 because "they had to send out 2 electricians to diagnose the problem and that's billable time". I never have been charged for estimates and thought this was unfair.

We obtained the recommendation of this company from Angie's List. From the moment of the phone call to 24 hours later when our work was complete, the experience with this company was excellent. On the introductory phone call, he discussed options and gave an estimate of costs without seeing the job. When my husband called the next morning to enlist his services, he returned the phone call within minutes. He found time in that exact day schedule to solve the problem. He arrived on time and completed the job in an hour.

Work was performed quickly and on time. Electrician showed us where certain earlier work done for the former owner did not meet code requirements, and the old work was redone.

Wow! great service, great company, great people used them for 3 separate jobs, fit me in for quick service, started immediately on a foreclosure I was rehabbing and also had them do my home spa installation. They let you buy the parts if you want to.

We live in an old house circa 1950. We had two recessed lighting cans in the office that were potentially unsafe. We had Swenson's replace them with very safe canisters. Also, an electrical outlet in the wall was constantly sparking. The electricians examined the wall wiring and the outlet and replaced the wiring with updated components. The two electricians were at our home for 1 1/2 hours. There were extremely efficient, professional, and trustworthy! I highly recommend this company!!!

He was there on time, knew exactly what to do and did it. He answered some questions about other electrical problems in the house, offering simple solutions which may in the long run save us more money. He charged us less than we had expected, and no trip charge because he was very close. A fine electrician and just the kind of guy you always like doing business with. We'll call him again when we need electrical work.

Mr. Swenson called to set an appointment when he said he would. He worked with me on a date when I could be home and arrived on time on that date. All work was performed as requested. He worked steadily and completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. He had parts that were needed. He cleaned up after completing each task on my list and even offered to rebury the wiring lines that my landscapers had pulled up after he repaired the wiring. I had a lamp that I asked him about as he was leaving -- he said he could take it back and fix it; he did so and returned it in working condition the same day.

It went very well. We contacted Guy to set up an initial day of service (two weeks out). He said he would contact us the day before to confirm the time, which he did. Guy showed up 10 minutes early and went straight to work replacing the smoke detectors. We discussed the placement of the light fixture and Guy made a couple of recommendations which were good. Two other electricians (Casey & Dave) arrived to install the wiring, light fixture, and dimmer (touch up painting around the dimmer was also done). It took them 3.5 hours each (Casey & Dave) to complete the installation, which also required putting the fixture together and included clean up. While it might seem like 7 man hours is excessive to wire and install a light fixture, I have something to compare it to. My father (semi-retired builder) installed the same light fixture over our kitchen table to replace an existing fixture (no new wiring required) and it took him about 8 hours.

My wife and I couldn't be happier - His crew started on time and finished all the work without taking a break for lunch. Guy and his workers were professional and efficient. If you need electrical work of any kind, this is the company to call
