When the fan in the hood over my stove shorted out just before New Year's, getting it fixed before it set my house on fire seemed like an excellent plan. Swenson Electric was instantly responsive and their professional service reps showed up within a couple of hours, exactly when they said they would, and could not have been better. They not only replaced the stove hood in short order, but also repaired several other minor electrical issues, quickly, efficiently, effectively -- and they were really nice about everything.

The following week Guy and his team arrived at the house on time (even a little early) and began work immediately. His team was professional, helpful and completed all the work. Everything that was being done was fully explained to me and I felt very comfortable having them do the work. In the end the work was done professinally, finished sooner then expected, and came in under the origional quote with even more work being done. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing electric work.

They arrived on time, thouroughly explained what was to be done and proceded to complete the job as quoted. We would definitely use them again.

He called when he was on his way an arrived at the estimated time. He had all the supplies needed in his truck and took care of the problem in very short time. He cleaned up after and all in all did a really nice job. Will definitely call him again when I need an electrician.

Swenson Electric came out early (before I had to leave for work) and fixed several wiring issues at my house from a previous owner. They were on time, extremely thorough, explained everything to me, and fantastically efficient! All work was completed in 90 minutes, plus they honored the $15 Angie's List discount coupon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I called Swenson Electric because my microwave was continually popping a circuit breaker in the panel box. Guy Swenson made an appointment to come out and check it for the following week. He and his personnel arrived promptly at the agreed upon time of 6:00 a.m. They checked the microwave oven connection and the circuit cob and found that the oven was connected connected to a light circuit instead of its own independent circuit and that only aluminum wiring was used instead of copper wiring (which was appropriate for the electrical code when the house was built, but was not up to today's electrical code. We agreed to have a new circuit run through the attic for the microwave. Guy and his crew also made a random check of the outlets and switches in the house and found that a number of them did not have copper pigtails attached to the aluminum wiring. We made an appointment the them to come out the following week to attach the copper pigtails as needed and to upgrade the ouside outlets. Once again Guy and his crew appeared on time and went directly to work. In both visits Guy and his crew had the work completed within three hours. They met my requiresments for professionalism by being industrious, very knowledgeable about their profession, requesting permission to move my possessions, and cleaning up after themselves as they went along. In my opinion they even went above board by checking the circuits to my computer and stereo equipment to be certain that I was drawing sufficient power. I hightly recommend them.

They arrived right on time, assessed the situation and went to work. Due to my husband messing up some of the wires, it took them a little longer. They cleaned up after themselves and they said the owner would send the bill. When I received the bill I called Guy and said he forgot to give me Angie's discount. He apologized and adjusted the amount to send him.

Guy was responsive and very professional. My husband was at work and I had to show him the problem. He explained in detail all that he was doing, what he was looking for and possible reasons why the problem occured. I was able to lear what to look for in the future. He seemed very knowledgeable.

Disposal, diswasher and hot water dispenser all went out this morning. I reset the breaker and GFI's for the area with no luck. Found Guy on Angie's List and called. He told me what to try next and if that didn't work to call him back and he would come out. The simple solution cured my problem so there was no need for service. I found Swenson Electric on Angie's list and called on Tuesday, August 16. The owner, Guy Swenson answered the phone himself. I explained that I had what I thought was a problem with a breaker for my A/C unit and a wiring problem with outlets in my living room tripping a GFI in the kitchen-These outlets haven't worked correctly since we moved in in 2004 and I've had several other people try to locate and correct the problem. I told him that no one could be at home all day waiting, and he offered to come out at 6:00am on the 18th. He called to confirm, and to make sure that he had the right parts for my type of panel and breaker. He showed up two minutes EARLY and the guard gate wouldn't let him in!. He came back EXACTLY ON TIME. He checked out the breaker, and finding that not to be the problem, proceeded to climb up onto the roof to locate the A/C unit. I live in a townhome, with two adjacent units, so just finding the right unit was a challenge. He climbed on the roof THREE times from three different locations to find the right unit, only to discover that the problem was with the A/C unit itself (the A/C company DID NOT find this problem...which is apparently a short). He replaced the breaker nevertheless, and didn't charge me for it.Inside, he tested the GFI's and all the non-working outlets, opened one of the GFI's and found that the wiring was bad, that the previous "repair" person had used dry wall screws, and located the problem in a very short time. He ADDED a GFI, fixed the wiring, and now ALL of the outlets are working perfectly. I had a great experience with this company. They were very responsive, extremely punctual, extremely professional and fairly priced. Guy Swenson himself was pleasant and explained whatever he could to me (I know ZERO about anything electrical). He didn't charge for the breaker, made an all out effort to fix all the problems, and although I still have to call an A/C repair person, I would call this company again, anytime and every time for electrical work of any type. I will definitely refer them whenever I can and I highly recommend using them for any electrical work.

Guy responded, and walked me through every phase of the issues. He explained what he was looking for and the different possibilities that could be causing the issue. He was easy and clear to talk to , and I will use him again.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: I live in Maryland and have a rental property in Arizona. My rental property was in need of some electrical repairs that were not addressed by the property management company before the old tenant moved out and the new tenant moved in. After reviewing several ads on Angie's list, I decided to go with Swenson Electric. I called Guy Swenson over the weekend. I had fully expected that I would be leaving a message on an answering machine and would have to wait for a call back. To my surprise, he answered and we were able to immediately discuss and plan the electrical repairs to my town home. While he was at my property and before the repairs were made, he called to give me a complete assessment of what needed to be done. He was very polite, professional, extremely responsive, very honest and VERY reasonably priced. His total price included labor and all of the materials (new exhaust fan, four smoke detectors and brackets and a light/fan control unit). I will definitely be calling Swenson Electric again should the need arise.

If you're looking for a cut-rate electriciant, these aren't your guys. Guy and his brother Casey, along with other staff are true professionals and performed multiple jobs during our remodel, including moving outlet boxes in the kitchen, testing outlets, switches and replacing those needed. They also installed a ceiling fan quickly even though it required moving wiring to center it in the living room. Casey and another staff member (I apologize I cannot recall the name) visited our house twice. Both times Casey was honest, professional, and told us what would be best to fit our budget. He explained everything they were doing and even took the time to walk through the asthetics of moving outlets in our kitchen with my wife to make sure he got them exactly where she wanted them, and where they would look best. Their prices are reasonable, not cheap, but VERY much in line with the quality of their workmanship. They helped label the breaker box for me and explained to me precisely which outlets fell on which circuits. No other electrician we've used in the Valley has taken the time to make sure we understood exactly what work was completed. They cleaned up thoroughly and made certain we were pleased before they left. Again, if you are looking to do something on the super cheap, look elsewhere. But if you want the job done PROPERLY, then call Guy Swenson. Guy, thank you to you, your brother and staff and we will be in touch again soon!

They were extremely responsive. I called on Monday morning and they came to do the job early Tuesday morning. Two men came, and they were very professional. They made sure they understood what we wanted before beginning, and they had the parts that were needed. They had the work done within an hour or so, and left everything neat and clean -- and of course working as expected. We're very satisfied with this experience.

Overall it went fine. However, I believe that I was overcharged for the service.

2.5 hours for 2 people. 45 minutes for 2 men to figure out how to work on fan above a pool table they were informed about prior to accepting the appointment. Sent a bill for $337 without the "Angies'" discount. He adjusted the bill after we complained. Will never use them again!

He was rude, unprofessional. He never got back to me on the bid.

I thought they were fantastic. They explained everything thoroughly, were punctual and got the job done in a timely matter. We were very pleased.

My power suddenly shut off but only in a part of my house. I called Guy to ask if there was anything I could do to fix it -- I had already checked the breakers. He had me check a few things which didn't work but then suggested I shut down all the breakers one at a time (after I shut down my computer) and call him back. IT WORKED!!! and I can now get my car out of the garage and have a light in my bathroom. Guy was patient and professional as he walked me through the process of restoring my electricity-- over the phone.

Guy came out and spent an hour reviewing the need and the best way to accomplish the task. He provided an estimate. His brother (Casey, I think) and a helper (David) came to do the work a week later as scheduled. Everything about dealing with all parties was an extreme pleasure. The actual work came in at well under the estimate, and the quality of the work performed was outstanding. There was no charge for the time Guy spent on-site doing the estimate. Kudos to Swenson Electric!

Guy came out and took some time to determine the root cause and once he did he was able to properly re-wire the faulty GFI and all outlets now work. He was very professional and did an excellent job.
