Swenson Electric

This is the second time I have had Swenson Electric complete upgrades in my home. They are always on time, very professional and respectful. Swenson arrives with the equipment and parts to complete the job requested. Also, they are very flexible to make changes to complete the job for safety and long term efficiency. In this particular visit, I had also requested additional work be done to complete a repair I thought was needed at an outside light fixture. When Swenson completed the GFI upgrades for the other outlets, it turned out the additional repair I requested was not needed. I didn't know that - but evidently they are a company with high integrity and they only completed the work necessary. thanks to Swenson for excellent service!

We came home from a trip and several of our lights did not work. We checked the circuit breakers and one was tripped and not going back easily. Guy, on the phone, made some suggestions to try before he came out for a service call and so far so good. We really appreciated his experience and tips to try and save us a service call. Turns out it was a bad lamp switch we had just replaced and created this scenario. Thanks

Workers showed up on time and professionally and quickly installed the circuits. This is an older home. Addition of a microwave on same circuit as bathrooms and two bathrooms on the same circuit caused overloading when multiple common appliances were used simultaneously (e.g., 2 hair driers, bathroom Jacuzzi, microwave). A third circuit had been considered, but was deemed unnecessary once work was begun. This reduced the cost by over $150 from the original estimate. Cost was well within the initial estimated amount. Work was performed on a single family rental property that I own. Swenson's estimated cost was somewhat higher than other estimates that I received. However, his reputation justifies that. Doing it right the first time easily trumps the lowest cost that might require rework and arguments about work quality.

We bought an electric car and needed a 240 outlet in the garage. I got a few estimates, but Swenson Electric was the most reasonable. One company wanted three times as much for the same job!! Casey Swenson came to do the work. He arrived right on time. He assessed the situation and set right to work. He put in a new breaker and ran the 240 line to a convenient location in our garage. As he was not rushed that day, when he was finished, I asked him to look at a couple of issues in the house. I had tried to replace a dimmer switch and could not get it to work properly. Casey quickly fixed it but also reassured me that it was a complicated switch so I didn't feel terribly stupid for not getting it right myself! He also added two new plugs for me in convenient locations. These were fairly easy plugs to add, but though I had wanted them for years, it was Casey and Swenson Electric who finally got the job done for me. This is a great company.

I had previously used Swenson Electric in early January of this year after finding his name in Angies List. At that time I neglected to write a review, and now wish that I had. Mr. Swenson fixed our GFCI outlets promptly ,and what I think was a reasonable price. I was thrilled with the company's work. I liked the fact that he tried to figure out the problem via the telephone, first to save us a service call. Unfortunately, at that time, the problem required an electrician. On 10/13/2014, my father called and said he was having problems with his ARC reset button on the electrical panel. We tried several things, and we just couldn't get the thing to reset. I had remembered Swensen Electric had fixed my electrical problem in early January, and we decided to give him a call to set up an appointment for him to check my dad's electrical problem out. Much to our surprise and total satisfaction, Guy helped my dad figure out what the problem was over the phone. NO CHARGE!!!! Foolishly, we had not been pushing the on/off switch all the way!!! Thanks so much to Swenson Electric for their kindness and help for my dad!!!!

Guy called to confirm the appointment and was right on time. He was friendly and informative and I will definitely call him next time. Highly recommended.

This job was fairly complex requiring extensive wiring and conduits and some creative ideas of where to tie in to existing circuits. As always, Swenson did a professional job at a reasonable price. I wouldn't even consider any other contractor for electrical work. Guy Swenson is the craftsman that you always wished you could find. He's expert at what he does, he isn't trying to rip you off with unnecessary work and he charges the right fee for the job. Recently, he came out and advised my handyman on what needed to be done and, since Guy was tied up with work for a couple weeks, my handyman completed the job. Guy was not only ok with that, he wouldn't even accept a "consulting" fee that I offered.

I have used Guy in the past because I value his experience, straight shooting, and good work. This job was no exception.

For years, the microwave and the kitchen lights in my rental property could not be used together, although it was never reported to me. When my 4 year tenant moved out, I couldn't figure out why all the kitchen light bulbs were unscrewed in the sockets. My new tenant quickly noticed that the switchbox needed reset every time she tried to use the microwave with the overhead lights on. Turns out, the individual who remodeled my kitchen years earlier hooked it up incorrectly. Guy was able to rectify by redirecting the microwave to the same switch as the refrigerator and this saved me many hundreds of $$$'s. Things appear to be working fine now!

1. The open neutral issue on the external receptacle line was quickly resolved by Guy to a loose neutral connection in the supply panel. In addition to this fix, Guy checked all the connections on the supply panel. A cracked receptacle was replaced in this line with a GFI receptacle since it is first in this external line. 2. Replaced 2 bathroom fan switches with Leviton 10/20/30/60 timer switches. The work was done in a timely manner with excellent communication during the open neutral trouble shooting and Guy checked all the supply panel connections once he found the one loose connection. This was an issue from when the panel was replaced in 2012 by a different contractor. The bathroom switch replacements was also completed cleanly with no harm to the paint work.

I had an electrical issue with my pool pump which I could not resolve on my own. I called Swenson Electric and Guy answered the phone personally! Love it when a business owner answers his own phone! Guy came out the same day and resolved the issue for me. I have used Swenson before for other projects and recommend them as high as I possibly can! You simply will not find a better company to perform electrical services than Swenson! Honest, dependable, punctual, knowledgeable, professional - everything you could ask for!

Guy was able to come out within hours of call. He clearly has a lot of experience, knows what he's doing, communicates clearly, came prepared, is easy going, and was willing to answer a number of questions. I will definitely be using him for future electrical work.

We are very happy with the end result of this job. Guy was very prompt in answering our call immediately. The price was good and the job done exceptionally well. Without our asking he arrived in less than 24 hours. We would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

On time, very professional in general, quite meticulous.

I had a good experience. He listens to what I had to say. He didn't overcharge me. He went in there and found the problem and good thing he did a thorough job. He fix my problem.

From the time I spoke to Guy right through the completion of my tasks (and I had a lot of things that needed to get done), it was great. On time, answered all my questions, and Casey took my calls after he had finished for the day. Would definitely recommend again.

Guy was at our house right on time and did the work quickly, professionally, and thoroughly. He was most accommodating and explained to us the cause of the issue we were having. He scheduled two members of his team to come the next day to install the ceiling fans. Like Guy, they showed up right on time and completed the work quickly and in a very professional manner. Price for services was reasonable. We are very satisfied and will definitely use Swenson Electric again if the need arises.

Did I mention that they were very helpful and took much of the stress away from the situation. Highly recommend.

When that was unsuccessful, an approximate time was given for coming out. A call was made to my husband to reschedule the appointment for later. My husband in the meantime figured out how to reset the tripped outlet. The service call was cancelled. ,

Initially, I couidn't find the GFI circuit. We set up for Mr. Swension (?!) to come out and look at it, but before committing to this plan, I decided to look around some more. I went on the Internet and found out they're not always colored-coded. (I'm a recently divorced woman and this is the first house I've ever owned alone. I know nothing.) This company could not have been more responsive or helpful. They educated me and helped me avoid a charge that wouldn't have been necessary. I will definitely use them if I have electical issues in the future.

He called me back very quickly, was very nice and helpful and very trustworthy.I will definitely use this company again in the future.

I have been concerned about the electrical status of my house which was built in 1956. Other electricians have worked on various aspects of the electrical system over the years. Swenson Electric far exceeds any previous work done by the other companies. The quality of the work was excellent for every visit. Guy, Casey and David were professional, courteous, and thorough. Their attention to detail was consistently outstanding. Their fees are very reasonable. I plan to have them replace my electrical panel this fall. During the discussion, Guy said to me, "I treat every house as though it were my own." That statement further reinforced my confidence in their commitment and dedication to the customer. It is a tremendous relief to have established an alliance with Swenson Electric. I genuinely feel protected.

Needed emergency service due to most power being off in my house this morning. Called early this morning and Guy answered immediately. He was in the area and showed up at my house within a few minutes. He diagnosed the problem as a worn out main breaker. He lined up APS to come out and shut off the power, applied for and got the permit (which I didn't even know I needed for a repair), retrieved the parts needed and had everything back up and running well before noon! Can't imagine any more prompt, efficient service! Excellent!

I had contacted them to get some work done ASAP. They were unable to do the work in the time frame we needed; however, they responded immediately to let us know that they weren't available. It's so nice - and rare - to receive a response! Thank you for being professional and getting back to us!
