Security Door, Gate, and Fence

The owner showed up on time for the tuneup and pointed out the cables were fraying. He provided an estimate that was reasonable and returned within days to complete the work. Later, the springs broke on our very heavy garage door. Since he did such a great job before, I chose to use him again and I was not disappointed.

A little expensive, but very quick.

I asked for four different bids. So my wife and I could look at different options and price. Frank was reluctant to provide the four bids. He became fustrated trying to do the bids on his phone. So he says at one point that he didn't want to do business with me, that he thought I might be difficult. Very unproffessional and a waste of my time. Do not recommend.

I got somebody through Angieslist. There was a coupon going on for $29 for a garage door inspection. So I wanted to take that oportunity and see if there was any problem with the garage door. For a visual inspection so I called him and he came. He did inspect the garage door and he told me that there was a problem with the spring. That the spring needs to be replaced. The main reason I was trying to get; my garage door remote was not working. So I just wanted to get a person to come and see what the problem with whatever it is and he was just trying to sell me a product. I didn't need that at the time. I paid him $29 for whatever and I told him over the phone that this is what I am looking for a garage door remote not working. And he looked at the problem and he told me that the problem was with the remote. And I asked him because I can't lift my car with the garage door and he didn't do anything. He just came there and he showed up, he looked at the door and showed me the problem with the spring and said it is going to cost me $599 to get the spring done and if I don't get it done it is going to cost more when it is broke because it's not broke it is working fine. Everything is working fine. He was just trying to sell me. My wife was complaining that I paid $29 for no reason. What did he do, he came here and he didn't fix your problem. Personally I can't answer about price because he came all the way from where ever he is. It is what it is. I paid for them and it is okay. He didn't do any work. I'm not impressed with him. He was on time, I believe.

He inspected and made recommendations. Replace a couple of worn parts and the door works great.

Went well; purchased the package through Angie's list. Technician switched the inside garage door wall opener with another that I had for no extra cost.

Pretty good! There were some scuff marks on the remote opener where he used a screwdriver on the plastic to open the battery compartment, and he noticed that my door was "out of balance" from a previous bump on the door and tried to sell me new springs. I told him I would take my chances and see what happens down the road. He may be right, but previous repairs were made by another door company, and they noted the date of the repair and I trust that this is appropriate.

Frank from Security Garage Door arrived on time and, after a brief inspection, found my door to be in (surprisingly) good condition. It did need a thorough lubrication which was done promptly and after which the door operated much more easily, relieving strain on the operator. I requested a new pair of 'backup' batteries which were also installed. The extra cost was that for which I requested and not an "up-sell". I'd gladly use their service again.

They were ok. They up sold the h##l out of it. They only two things i would say is they were sort of negative. I expect the up sell on these deals but they were pretty aggressive on the up sell. They peeled off the old vendor sticker without asking to stick their own on there. Which I thought was a little forward. It wasn't like awful awful, just a little pushy, but shouldn't be doing anything to the other vendors property without talking to us first. But I wouldn't give them a big demerit for that. I think their techs should not do that. They did a good job technically. The garage door is humming.

They did a good job, it went fine. At first, the remote he had wouldn't work. He tried another one that did work. He warranted the one he put. I would have preferred a brand new one. He was a nice guy and did a good job.
