We had Marty come out during our home inspection to give us a quote on a new pool fence. We were renting a home in Phoenix that already had one and really liked the piece of mind that came with having a pool fence. We have 4 children (5-9) and one cannot swim while the others are OK but not necessarily strong swimmers. We looked into a number of different companies and liked what Protect-A-Child had to offer as far as quality and price. We had Marty install the fence a few days after the close of our new home. Our pool was fairly straight forward although we have a step at the deep end of the pool so the fence is multi-leveled. Our pool is kidney-shaped surrounded by a walking area as well as a small cutout to put a table/chairs on one side. The fence surrounds the entire area. Although Marty suggested a certain shape around the cutout (more rounded vs box shaped ) we wanted the box shape around the cutout area to give us maximum room inside the pool area. Marty was very amenable to whatever we wanted, no problems with whatever shape. He also gave us some additional suggestions which were great and we agreed to, like gate placement and certain post placements that made the fence look better. Marty showed up early in the AM and got started right away after giving us a rough idea as to post and fence placement. He was very professional and respectful of our home. He also didn't seem to mind our small dog that would occasional "visit" him while he was working. He worked hard all morning and had the pool fence completed by noon. We were thrilled with the work and the way the pool looked after it was all done. We were also happy with the black mesh and black poles. We were uncertain of the poles since our old home had silver ones but like the black on black much better.

Overall Marty was very easy to work with. He was quick with his communication, honest about the product and his competition and knowledgeable about the industry. We scheduled the install for the 7th prior to moving into our home and the work was done within a few hours. Overall great experience.

We contacted Protect-A-Child Pool Fence Systems for an estimate on a pool fence. We had bought a house with a pool that had no enclosure and we have 2 small children. Marty was easy to reach and we scheduled an estimate with him at our convenience. He gave our pool area a very thorough look-over, and we discussed the options, including locations and dimensions for the fence, and also placing, type, and number of gates. He pointed out other potential safety hazards around our deck to take care of as well. He demonstrated the features of his products and made recommendations about what would work best for us, but also gave us options. We ultimately went with his recommendations. We scheduled the installation in a timely manner (before we moved in). He completed the installation from start to finish in half a day, and it came out beautifully. We feel comfortable and safe with this fence, and feel it will be durable and reliable. The price was exactly as per the estimate, which was based on the length / perimeter of the fence. He measured it in front of us when he came for the consultation. Marty was very pleasant to deal with and very available for any questions through the process. We have gotten a number of compliments from friends who have visited, on the appearance of the fence. I would highly recommend using this company for your pool fence. The fence can be easily be taken down, in whole or in part, by an adult, and put back up, but it is also very secure to prevent any accidents with small children.

We had purchased a pool fence that had been installed at another location. That owner didn't need the fencing anymore and we called several companies prior to buying this fence to see if they would do the installation without us purchasing new fence from them. The only company we found that would do this was Protect-A-Child Pool Fence Systems. Michael was quite knowledgeable and very much concerned that if we had small children living with us, we have protection for them with the pool at the property we were renting. He advised us in the type of fence to look for - and the condition - of any used fence we bought. This helped immensely when we did buy the fencing. He scheduled a day and time to come install the fence, showed up to give an estimate and was prompt for the scheduled installation time. Overall, we could not be happier, and when we were done with the fence and were (also) selling it on Craig's list, we recommended Michael to each person who was interested in the fencing. We wanted to be sure that they also would have the best installation possible.

The whole experience was excellent. My phone call was responded to the same day and Marty came out a few days later. I had done some research and had very specific questions, all of which were answered thoroughly. Marty made some suggestions (none of which involved increased cost -- in fact one would have resulted in a lower cost) for me to consider. Absolutely no pressure, just thoughtful, professional suggestions based on the needs I conveyed and the layout of my yard. After doing some more research I called Marty back a week later and we set up a time for him to do the work. At that time he spent about half an hour laying out the template and tweaking it to accommodate input from us and making sure we knew exactly how it was going to look. He did the job, cleaned up everything around the area, and then spent time showing me how to keep the area safe and exactly how I'd be removing the fence when I wanted to do so.

Marty called me shortly after I submitted request to schedule a time for an estimate. He was able to install the fence in a reasonable time frame, working with our schedule. He offered a reasonable price. He was very professional throughout, his experience installing this fence system was clear through the way he presented himself and the product. We are very happy with the work that he did. Highly recommend Marty and protect a child.

We had two different people recommend Marty (Protect-A-Child Pool Fence) which gave us great comfort that he was the right guy for us to speak to and ask questions. Mart was extremely helpful and explaining all the pros and cons, our options, and even came out to describe the layout and color choices before we committed to an order. He was very professional and did a fantastic job on installing the pool fence. The product itself is good quality and looks good in the yard. His pricing was very competitive. I am impressed with his professionalism and fast response to our needs. I am the type of person who researches every purchase before spending the money and i assure you if you are like me then don't bother researching any longer - call Marty today!

I needed to have a removable pool fence for our newly adopted 5 yr. old grandson.I got Marty's name from a trusted pool equipment repairman that I use and with an online search.We set a time for an estimate. He was very pleasant, friendly and punctual and very thorough with the demonstration of his product.His suggestion for fence placement was much appreciated and his estimate seemed fair. He told me that he does all the installations himself.I didn't even get a second estimate as Marty was someone I felt very confident doing business with.On the day of installation, I changed my mind about the color I wanted - dark brown instead of black.He couldn't have been nicer about it - just said that he had the brown fencing in stock and would go get it.He did an excellent job, great cleanup and never tried to sell me more than we absolutely needed.I have been totally happy with the fence and the ease of removing and replacing it when necessary.I would definitely recommend Marty to any of my friends.

Marty provided an estimate for a removable pool fence. These fences are made of fiberglass poles with synthetic mesh "fabric" panels. I received several other estimates for my yard, including wrought iron. I was looking to enclose a large pool (over 90 feet of fence) to protect my small children from pool access while maintaining some convenience of use and accessibility to the pool. I was immediately impressed with Marty in contrast to my other estimates. First, his price was very competitive. Secondly, he was the ONLY person who actually looked at my pool and the deck layout and suggested an optimal fence layout. My deck has all sorts of weird cutouts. I originally though the fence should follow the deck line. Every other estimator just gave me a price for what I suggested, and they never suggested something else might be better. Marty took one look at my yard and considered my suggestion, and he politely offered an alternative layout. I am not a pool fence professional, people! I need someone who does this day in and day out to tell me what is ideal. Marty did this, and now that I see the final results, his suggestions were completely spot on. During his estimate he showed me samples of the mesh fabric, the locking mechanism, and the fiber glass poles, and explained why his product is better. For example, it is made in Florida, not China, has much stronger poles than many others out there, and has a color that will not fade. He showed me videos and pictures of the fence in action. He had all the information ready for me. No one else had that level of detail in the presentation of the product. In fact, no one else had any detail at all other than "google mesh fence and you will see some pictures." He also suggested a cheaper, better alternative of a gate (the manual lock) rather than up-selling me the more expensive self-closing gate. When I asked how long to install, having been told by other companies I was in for a 3 week wait due to order times from the manufacturer, Marty said as early as three days - he keeps product in stock. Sure enough, 2 days after I called to tell him I wanted the fence, he was at my house installing it. He even fought off some ridiculous mud from a leaky sprinkler system to pour some concrete for some off-deck poles and trimmed hedges back. The fence looks great, and there were no problems. He drilled extra holes to pin back sections (at our approval) and provided hole covers. Seriously - another bid told me that they don't provide covers for the holes because the manufacturer doesn't provide them not in these poor economic times. What? The point of the removable fence is to get rid of it someday, and that means capping the pole holes! Marty left my backyard and deck clean. Marty was a great guy, very professional, and has been doing this a long time. As he will tell you, he is not a "weekend warrior" or a fly-by-night pool fence company. He does a lot of fences through a national name and offers great pricing and warranty. I would highly recommend his services and product.

I really like the fact that they were honest and didn't try to over sell me. I think that that shows great integrity. The price was right but I really don't remember the total. They did a great job on the installation and were a pleasure to have work for us.
