Phase 1 Electronics

Howard Brown, the owner came to do a site visit at my residence. He first quoted me $1,800 for an alarm system. I told him that was too much since I already had an existing alarm system installed by the builder and monitored by Safeguard for the past 4 years. He then quoted me $200 to "hook up and reconnect" my existing alarm. I had a service date of 9/23/2014 at 9:00am. It is now 9:45 on said date. I called Phase 1 Electronics at 9:30 to ask about the installers. Howard Brown answered the phone and had no idea what I was talking about and didn't even have it on the calendar. After he continued to ask for my address which he couldn't find, I reminded him who I was by describing my house, and how I was more than likely going to add 7 rental properties and 5 business locations. He then quickly remembered. He then said, "yes, i have tried to call you and leave several messages". I never received one call and asked him to verify the number. He quickly went into how he couldn't do it for $200 and it would cost $1,800. I own a 9,000sq. ft house and I'm sure that had something to do with it. To make matters worse, i asked him again to confirm the number. After two minutes of hold he said, he misplaced it. He then quickly said, "for this to work it's going to cost $1,800". No prior phone call to inform me of this, no call to inform me that he couldn't install, no call to advise installers were not going to show....Nothing! As an International CEO, I flew in from a business trip to be here for this install. I have never encountered such unprofessional customer service and bait and switch in my life. I hope this review at minimum cautions people to be aware of this poor customer service and the business tactics of this company and owner.
