My Computer Works

The technician wasn't able to fix my computer because it was not only a software issue but a hardware issue. My problem with the company is I was told by the first representative that called me that I was not signing up for a monthly plan. That my service for the day would be $104. I asked him multiple times before I gave my credit card information to be sure I would not be charged any more after the date of service (6/29/19). I was told that I would not be charged more. Today I noticed my credit card had been charged $34.95. I've tried to reach the billing office and keep getting an answering machine. I only hope I can get this charge reversed and cancel any further charges. I'm sorry that Angie's List has recommended this company.

Not well. The technician was polite enough, but unable to perform the service or resolve the issue. He tried an approach multiple times and then we jointly spent time with technical support from Cox on the phone. He concluded he could not resolve the issue. He then completed a vendor form from "My Computer Works", the vendor who contracted his services, stating he was required to do so to confirm his "services performed ". Although frustrated for the expenditure of time (I had to block the majority of a full day) I signed the form and he departed.He was present at our home for a bit shy of 2 hours. The significant issue followed regarding charges . No estimate or minimum charge was ever quoted by My Computer Works nor did the technician indicate what charge, if any, there might be. I presumed that a "service call minimum" might be involved, mentioned that to the technician . I received no response. After a few checks of my credit card activity following the "service" I saw a charge for $274 from My Computer works. On March 25, 2019 I called the company and spoke with a person stating her name as Heather. She listened to the details and indicated she would provide the information to her supervisor and they would promptly respond. As of this writing no response. In summary, I will obviously NEVER do business with this vendor and unfortunately will be hard pressed to ever engage "Angie's List " again if this is the caliber of entity that you would do business with and allow on your "List". Went great. Everyone was happy they were very tidy cleaning as they worked. Very knowledgeable and well worth the price. No up sale but would offer additional services to ensure other projects were addressed while on site.

Impressive is the only word to describe what they did. I have subscribed to MCW's services just about from the time the company was started and I was selling real estate in Scottsdale, AZ, where they are located. I can't begin to count the times they've saved me. Great techs. Great service. More expensive that the Geek Squad and worth it!

Great! The technician was very knowledgeable, competent and courteous and accomplished my tasks quickly.

Great. They called promptly. Within a short time my issue was resolved and my computer back to running as I like it. The service is excellent, the technicians are helpful, friendly, and informative. It saves time and money and brings peace of mind knowing you have someone to turn to for computer help 7 days a week.

Best company I have ever dealt with

I have had this company on retainer (annual fee) for several years now. Though I believe they have a monthly fee it's cheaper to pay annually. I have Priority One service, to get a response within 1 hour; but it's cheaper if you can wait for hours in the queue for a callback. What a relief to call whenever I need help. They access the computer remotely and will do anything from fixing bugs, removing viruses, or helping me with software questions, all at no additional cost. They once fixed a ransomeware problem that took almost 8 hours to remedy.

At first I thought i had to buy a new computer however his suggestion cleared up the issue and the color on my screen is as good as it was before! I would have never thought of that solution! He saved me $750! Steven Cates

These guys have been my ''GO TO GUYS'' for computer support for years. They are quick, knowledgeable,and courteous. I am very happy and intend to keep their service. The monthly fee of 30 usd is reasonable for the help they provide.

They are always responsive and proactive, the work is done quickly and accurately. The personnel are friendly and knowledgeable. I will continue to use them for my computer back-ups and maintenance.

The technician was very professional and friendly. I didn't have to wait on the phone while the work was completed since it was done remotely. The issues were resolved to my satisfaction and I received a follow up call the next day to make sure I was satisfied.

Service was great, as always. I have had a monthly service contract with My Computer Works for several years and they have always been extremely helpful. Their techs are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. I added their cloud back-up service recently and enjoy the peace of mind it provides. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for reliable computer service!

Well. No problem getting my questions answered

It took about three hours total to set up my computer exactly how this company likes it. And I like it, too. My computer runs really well with few problems. And when I do have a problem, I know I can call and someone will contact me and will fix my problem(s). I have been with this company for many years - I don't quite know how that happened. I just didn't find a good reason to stop using them! I feel I am in good hands with My Computer Works. The cost is about $30 per month.

Re-wiring home entertainment system. Fantastic service! Patient. Excellent listener. Very resourceful. Gave options and solutions between expensive and inexpensive. Really terrific professional.

MCW initially had 4 different technicians over a 24 hour period checking to see that the records transfer was done right. In the latest visit, Eric T from MCW helped us add the monitors to what we had. He was friendly and helpful as all the technicians have been. Good service for a moderate price.

The first appt was for 6-7 p.m. but the person did not take into account the time change so I was calling by 7:45 Illinois time to see why I had not been called yet. Turns out the tech called 8:30 p.m. Illinois time which was 6:30 his time. But we were able to reschedule and they called within minutes of when they said they would. They promptly got started and within a few hours, my computer was running like new!!! Explained to us how they would help at any time we needed it and the things they did. My computer never left my house. I found this company on the internet and will everyone I know how great the did. I am so pleased and it was only $129.99. This si very comparable to the other shops I called who did not do much to explain what they thought was the problem and I had to take the computer to them. Very happy to have used this company.

I don't do ANYTHING to my computer without the assistance of a tech from My Computer Works. Well worth the annual fee; there is no way I'd be without their service. The technician checked the laptop out, verified the hard drive is going kaput, called Dell, arranged for it to be replaced. I can't run my business without this kind of service. Again, well worth the annual fee; this service is a must!!!!! Below is annual cost, I paid nothing for the hours we spent on the phone this morning.

The two My Computer Works technicians who worked a remote restoration of my system were very patient with a computer-phobic senior citizen in getting access for the remote started. I watched much of the process they went through and I was impressed with the thoroughness and knowledge they had. My system was restored to service in a matter of two hours. Price was, I thought, reasonable and results are great!
