Description of Work: MacMedia is simply amazing! Trust them with your business, they care more than Apple does. So I had a MacBook Pro that had a battery issue and I guess it had a small crack in the glass basil which simply is a terrible design choice by Apple. With COVID-19, I had a mail in my laptop to Apple, which took weeks to get there. Apple then told me that because of that superficial crack in the bezel I had to pay an additional $600 before they could repair the battery. I argued with Apple for weeks and they could not do anything. So after waiting for weeks to get my laptop back from Apple, I took it Macmedia, they promptly took it in, got it the battery replacement from Apple within days and then repaired my laptop within days. They also were able to swing getting me a free battery so I only had to pay the $95 diagnostic fee which was hundreds of dollars less than what Apple was charging me. MacMedia left my laptop clean which Apple had left sticky residue from a sticker that ripped off during their failed repair. Macmedia was prompt to communicate with me, and knew what they were doing. I live in Santan Valley, and saying that I prefer to go there in Scottsdale to get my Apple products repaired means something.

My son had called earlier to determine what the estimate would be.. his first impression was that Paul was about 100% more professional and nicer than the other company's representative. Everyone in the store was very friendly, helpful and nice. I would recommend this place to anyone needing assistance with their Apple computer. Thank you MacMedia
Description of Work: I had a hard drive crash in my 2010, 15 inch MacBook Pro. I had another company assess the issues with my computer and recommend repair with replacement costs. I then got a quote from MacMedia for the repair... Their cost was considerably less and this with additional upgraded hybrid hard drive size to 1 T. I dropped off my computer and before I could even drive home they called me and told me it was ready for pick up. They changed my hard drive, replaced my battery and upgraded my RAM... all for about 300 less than the other local company had quoted.

+ -1 moreThey replaced the hard drive in my MacBook Pro twice, both times to get a bigger hard drive. Both times the computer had to be brought back in because it stopped working. I never really got an explanation for what happened but apparently it was some kind of software glitch. Also, over the past several years I've tried to purchase additional computers from them (MacBook, iMac, etc) and literally could not get them to return my call. I don't understand how a company stays in business when a customer calls up, says he wants to buy a computer that is really tweaked out with all the bells and whistles, and they don't even call the guy back. And this happened not once, not twice, but three times! Finally, bought the computers at Mac Mall - better service, they call you back and no sales tax. I'm a big believer in supporting local businesses but a customer can only go so far before he gives up.
Description of Work: Replace hard drive in computer. Try to buy additional computers from them.

+ -1 moreVERY TIMELY NEXT-DAY SERVICE. MARK THE TECHNICIAN CAME WITHIN THE 2 HOUR WINDOW GIVEN. ALTHOUGH CHARGED FOR ONE HOUR OF HIS TIME AND EXPERTISE ($110.00 PER HOUR), HE ACTUALLY STAYED LONGER AND ANSWERED ANY QUESTIONS I HAD.
Description of Work: INSTALLED LATEST VERSION OF INTERNET EXPLORER ON MAC OS X. INSTALLED LIKSYS ROUTER; CHECKED FOR ANY PROBLEMS ON BOTH IMAC AND DELL LAPTOP; CHECKED THAT SECURITY MEASURES WERE IN ORDER.

+ -1 moreI WAS DESPERATE WHEN I CALLED MACMEDIA. I HAD ALREADY SPENT MONEY TAKING MY COMPUTER IN TO COMP USA - WHERE THEY COULD NOT FIX IT AND CHARGED ME ANYWAY. I CALLED MACMEDIA AND THEY SAID TO JUST BRING IT DOWN. THEY KEPT IT OVERNIGHT AND WERE ABLE TO FIX IT AND MORE IMPORTANTLY SALVAGE ALL MY WORK FILES. I PICKED IT UP THE NEXT DAY AND IT WAS AS GOOD AS NEW. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE WHO IS IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP WITH THEIR MAC COMPUTER.
Description of Work: I HAD A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MY MAC COMPUTER. I USE IT FOR WORK AND IT WOULD NOT BOOT UP. AFTER RUNNING SOME TROUBLE SHOOTING SOFTWARE, I CALLED MACMEDIA. I DROPPED OFF MY HARD DRIVE TO THEM AND THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM, REPLACE MY HARD DRIVE AND RECOVER MY FILES FROM MY OLD HARD DRIVE.
