The team at Legacy saved my mental state after a different company left my bathroom in shambles. I contacted Legacy because I had seen the work they did on my parents house years before and knew they would be able to salvage and restore our bathrooms dignity! Immediately we were met with professionalism, honesty and transparency in regards to the project we wanted done. Between Brian, Ian and Ritchie, we never for a moment felt like things would get "lost" along the way or mishandled. And we were right-the job was impeccable. They scheduled with us in a timely manner, they kept the lines of communication open and updated daily and they answered all of my questions along the way. Not to mention how clean they kept everything during the process which was a concern for me considering i've been heavily pregnant the whole time. Oh and last but most importantly- THE TURN OUT!! We have two bathrooms now that look like they belong in a five star Spa. Theyre stunning, and everyone who comes over makes sure to let us know how incredible they are. If you want your bathrooms done right, and your sanity intact- go with Legacy.

The Legacy team was fantastic! We worked with Legacy through various remodels over the last 24 months. COVID hit in the middle of construction and they continued to be reliable, professional, careful and excellent. We worked with several different team members and they are all really great. We are happy with our projects - excellent communication, quality product. I know how hard it is to find great and reliable contractors, I wanted to share it with everyone that Legacy was terrific. Highly recommend.

Thank you so much Legacy for the exceptional bathroom and home remodel. My spouse and I had our master bathroom remodeled, including removing an existing tub, moving the shower, a whole new solid wood closet, new vanity, reconfiguring of the water closet, and installation of a steam sauna. We were so happy with our bathroom remodel, we asked Legacy to install quartz topped cabinets in place of existing half walls, redo the rest of the closets in our house, install a new front door, new paint inside and out, and many other items in and around our house. I think that typically when one gets anything remodeled the results usually look very nice, what with new cabinets/flooring/fixtures/paint, etc. However, what really makes a remodel something to enjoy for years to come, is having it professionally designed and built/installed by a company like Legacy. In the end the remodel my husband and I had done was not simply what I was expecting or hoping for, it was better than I could conceive and is a representation of what a team of professionals like Legacy can do. It was not just an exceptional bathroom and home remodel, but a change to my home that makes it beautiful and functional. The Legacy team went above and beyond and their expertise in what they do to make my remodel perfect. Legacy’s design team of Debbie and Jeremy helped me select materials and fixtures that worked with the existing character of my home and really brought all the looks together. The 3-D rendering Jeremy did helped me see how the space could be reconfigured and, in addition to including everything I wanted, added touches that I never would have thought of. And these touches did not measurably impact the cost; they were small items such as a different placement / curvature of a wall and different type / placement of a drain. The thoughtful initial design really made a difference in the final product. Craig was the PM/super who managed my remodel and was fantastic. He handled any issues that came up during the remodel such that I never even knew about most of them. Craig also, in overseeing the day-to-day work and trades, brought up small tweaks that, again, didn’t really impact the cost but made a big difference to the final look and functionality of the space. He really understood what my spouse and I were looking for and had awesome ideas that the professional tradesmen and Legacy’s in-house master carpenters were able to implement right on the spot, such as a different way to light our new sauna incorporating a hard-wired switch, complete with a stained glass effect, and creating a built in look for my sauna. Craig, himself an experienced master carpenter, also spent some weekends working on making my master closet something that really works for my spouse and me and looks beautiful too (solid pine). I really appreciated Craig’s technical expertise and making my remodel flow smoothly. Legacy’s in-house carpenters and professionals were truly hard working experts at their crafts. Scott, Floyd, Steve, and Greg made everything just look gorgeous and also mentioned little things they could do to really make things come together. Scott and Floyd, along with Craig, spent a lot of time creating my master closet and getting the shelving semicircle look/functionality I was going for, including Scott creating a wrap around rod design. Additionally, extra matching solid wood around my sauna was added to enhance the look and even the relatively small tasks, such as making baseboard pieces such that they curve around a wall, were done incredibly beautifully by Scott. I was so happy with my master closet, I asked the Legacy team to gut and redo the rest of my closets. Floyd created 4 more build in closets made of solid wood. They are incredibly strong and maximize the closet space. Floyd also installed my front door and master bathroom undersink cabinets. They look phenomenal and most importantly, work perfectly. You know the frustration when something does not work quite correctly (such as a door that scrapes/hard to open or a cabinet not quite lined up), well, I am delighted to say not in my house. I believe many companies can procure nice materials but, without expert installation, it may not be quite right or not hold up well over time. Floyd really took care of things and his experience was invaluable. The last two in-house professionals were Steve and Greg. Steve was a new addition to the Legacy team over the course of my remodel and was also fantastic. He took great care to make sure things were done how I wanted them, even small things such as hooks at an optimum height and configuration. I could tell he really cared about making everything perfect. Lastly, Greg installed my half wall cabinets and made them look one of a kind with the way he built out the baseboards; they look very elegant. The in-house Legacy experts brought out the materials and design to their full potential. In addition to the folks directly employed by Legacy (their design team, project managers, and master carpenters/professionals mentioned above), they work with a great network of skilled tradesmen. I was really happy with the electricians, plumber, counter installers, and tile specialist who came into my home. Everything looks flawless, especially the tile work around my shower walls, including a bench and built ins. I was really impressed with the expertise of the painter Ken. Ken and his crew painted my home inside and out and made the walls look better than they were before by patching and fixing them, even items I had not noticed before. Everything he did makes my home look polished. Ken also put in/designed a new gate for me that is really stunning as it has an aged wood look. On a practical aspect, Legacy also made sure that the materials were up to their standards. I really appreciated this as my spouse and I are in a very different line of work and many times did not know what we were looking at. Legacy sent my new front door back to the manufacturer twice (no additional cost to me) because it did not meet their standards. It gave me piece of mind that they were making sure things were done correctly, even if they were items I might never have noticed (e.g., configuration within a wall). Lastly, on a personal note, all of the Legacy folks were really great to have in my home and were always very flexible with an eye towards making everything about my remodel perfect. I enjoyed speaking with them and hearing their thoughts on how to elevate my home. They really went above and beyond with extra touches. The knowledge and expertise of everyone at Legacy is not something you find just anywhere. Legacy took the initial idea of what I wanted for my remodel and made it something really extraordinary. Thank you.

From the very beginning of the project, things went pretty smoothly for us with only a few minor hiccups that were quickly dealt with resolved. It started with Jeremy Plambeck helping us to create a design layout for our new kitchen and bath, he was very patient with us, allowing us to make several changes and modifications until we were completely satisfied with the design. He then rendered a 3D view so we were able to see exactly what the end result would be. From there we were guided by Debra Nigel through the complicated task of making our material selections from the huge array of products that were offered, with her guidance and expert advice she kept us focused and on task, and actually managed to make the whole process of selecting from lightning, countertops, hardware, tiles, and all the rest of it fun and easy for us. She kept us informed of the detailed progress and progression of the work as time went on. We also were lucky enough to meet the guys who did the actual work in the house for us. They were very hard working, pleasant and courteous to us when we would stop in to see the progress for ourselves, never making us feel as if we were in the way, we greatly appreciated that. So in ending, I want to let each and every one of you from the Legacy Design Team that we could not be happier with our new kitchen and bath and to send you all our deepest thanks, Ellen and Richard Thiel

Before I contracted with Legacy Design Build Remolding to update my kitchen, bathrooms and flooring, I asked several friends and family members about their remodel experiences. Every one of them said two things: there will be costs overruns and it will take forever. I’m happy to report that the only costs overruns were caused by unforeseen issues (wood rot behind enclosed walls in the shower areas) or by me changing my mind and requesting upgraded materials. But it did feel like it took forever! Obviously, it didn’t take forever; it is complete now and I love it. (That was the third comment everyone made – you will love it once it is done.) Jacob Randall did his best to keep things on track. Again, there were unforeseen circumstances like the tile installer I wanted to use going AWOL and replacing the painters mid job which added to the time delay. But Jacob kept the subs in line and pushed through it all. He kept me informed and was always available to answer questions. Jacob also came up with some very creative solutions regarding the glass shower doors and framing the master bath doorway. My interior design consultant enjoyed working with Jacob too. Overall the experience was worth it and I would definitely do it again.
Description of Work: Remodel kitchen, hall bath, master bath and flooring through out home.
The project went extremely well. Our Project Manager, Jacob Randall, was outstanding. He handled issues professionally and did an excellent job keeping us informed throughout the process. Our design assistant, Debbie Nagle, was also wonderful in helping us piece together all of the product elements necessary to bring our vision to life.
Description of Work: Multiple bathroom remodel, and tile flooring replacement
This was a complicated project. It involved substantial demolition of an existing patio and construction of an elaborate outdoor kitchen and TV area. Overall the project went very well. We originally had worries about city plans approval, materials and the need to work around some problem areas. All of these were overcome and Legacy delivered as promised. Their Foreman, James treated us like family in seeking to assure our satisfaction at every step.
Description of Work: We built a covered outdoor kitchen.
We could not be more pleased with the way our project turned out. Our project manager, Derek Chase was professional, knowledgeable and always flexible with our schedule and occasional changes of plans. We highly recommend Legacy Design Build Remodeling and Derek Chase in particular.
We couldn't be happier. Our bathrooms were beautifully updated and we have so much more room now. The openess makes the rooms so much more attractive, and easier to keep clean.

Last year, Legacy Design Build Remodeling added a laundry room onto our house. The entire project took about 6 to 8 weeks and went quite smoothly. James Crummett was the onsite manager and I couldn't have asked for a better person running the show. He was always on time, attentive and respectful to our needs, and went above and beyond the expectations of any manager. We first started this project because we had some serious leaking into our house during heavy monsoons and I'm pleased to say with the expertise of Legacy's team, we have no more leaking!

Our experience with Legacy was great! I highly recommend them. My wife and I get nervous whenever we just need a handyman. As two women, we figure men know we have no idea what things cost. We've been taken advantage of in that way before. From the moment we met the staff until the very end we trusted that we chose the best team. Our project manager was James. He was so great! It was nice having him around. We felt safe. If you get him on your team, huge bonus! We initially got in contact with several contractors and decided to go with Legacy because of their professionalism, organization and their experience. It just felt like a good fit from the beginning. We needed to take care of some flooding issues and we wanted to expand our master bedroom. Jean, the talented architect, came up with an awesome plan and so far we've had no flooding! (Knock on wood.) They took a little bit longer than we expected to finish the project but only by about a week. We love the way everything looks! It turned out even better than we expected. Feel free to call me for a reference. You can get my phone number through legacy.

Horrible. Everything that Legacy touched had to be redone 2, 3 , 4 and 5 times. ROC and attorneys were involved in the end.

The estimate for 2 small bathroom remodel, bonus room conversion to bedroom, insulation removal and reinsulation was 150K. The whole process was a scam to bait you in. We were told that they are under new management and trying to undo their prior mistakes but obviously they are not trustworthy. We forfeited the project and went with another company.
Description of Work: We had a walk-through estimate which the contractor estimated cost 15-20K per small bathroom remodel and about 15K to convert bonus room into a bedroom. We paid 3K for 'extensive analysis' which the final estimate double the original estimate in addition to fees for site management.

It's my honest opinion that this company should not hold a contractors license. Everything that could go wrong with our job did. They took our money and did not order materials for us like they said they were going to do. They underestimated the job to get us to sign the contract and then came back for job change orders throughout the construction. This is after we explained to the project consultant exactly what we wanted at the start of the process. We endured months of lies and lip service and are now dealing with the Registrar of Contractors and had to hire an attorney to help us fix their (Legacy's) many wrongs. I would not recommend this company to anyone! They will steal your money and A LOT of your time!! What was supposed to be a 3 month job is now nearing 1 year! Please look elsewhere for a contractor!

Poor quality workmanship. Excessive rework. Long delays as rework materials were not stocked. Appointments were cancelled at last minute. Signed contract in April and agreed to monetary settlement because finished product required too much rework to meet my definition of a quality product.

There is not one thing that was done in my house that did not have to be redone at least once. This was ignorance and arrogance at its finest! I would not recommend this company to build me a dog house.
Description of Work: It is my opinion that if you have an unlimited budget and unlimited time these hacks are for you. They used the old "that wasn't in the original scope of work, it will cost you more" the entire job. Although this was all discussed in the project consultant meeting.

They're just too much but we love them and they were great. They were very good but they were so expensive so we ended up using Home Depot. They were wonderful and the guy there was so good and he has a great time.
Description of Work: They did a whole kitchen including the floors and cabinets. They replaced the walls of the cabinets.
Original all in estimate for this provider was $31,000.00 and included remodel of bathroom with new cabinets and beautiful rain shower., new kitchen windows and making window seat chair height, new patio doors for bedroom and Arizona Room, new bar area in the Arizona Room, new tile floors in Master, former furnace room included in design for Master closet and remodeling present master closet with new closet setup. Also included was the provider obtaining all required building permits What we got a beautiful new shower., and tile floor, cheap cabinets that were too small. We were never actually given the dimensions of the cabinetry and did not realize that bathroom cabinetry was smaller than cabinets for a kitchen. The cabinets were all ordered as single cabinets instead of doubles or triples and we lost approximated 20 Sq ft. of storage space. We were given three choices of sink for the bathroom, made a special trip out to the supplier to check out the sinks, made a choice a week later we were informed we had chosen a kitchen sink not a bathroom sink and we needed to make another selection. We made another selection guess what it was too big also but we didn't know this until it was being installed. The project manager had to build out the cabinetry to accommodate the sink. The Design Consultant was very friendly but never seem to hear what we were saying. From the very start we told him we wanted a large rain shower and a pocket door. When we went to pick out the bathroom hardware and plumbing he kept showing us shower heads that were not rain shower heads. I finally got angry and loudly that we were having a rain shower and that is final. I do not want to hear another word about our shower head be an alternate to a rain shower. The 80+ items contract we signed did not actually specify the plumbing hardware or the pocket door. We paid extra to have what we specified we wanted from the beginning. We did not get new kitchen windows, We did not get new patio doors for the Master and the Arizona room nor did we get a new bar area in the Arizona Room. The former furnace room was never incorporated in the original design giving us a large master bath well designed but we did get a haphazard closet out it. We requested that the Design Consultant not accomany the Vice President and Project Superintendent when they came to our house for the final meeting. The Design Consultant had insulted us once to often. The Vice President did not care to hear about out complaints about the Design Consultant and was not interested in even looking at the bathroom cabinetry to check out our complaints. Under no circumstance would I recommend anyone who does not have money to throw away ever go near this provider.
