The cost to do the other repairs was much higher, but they "gave" me a discount. Not too much later the garage door opener chain sagged. So we called them and they came out and again they had a "deal" to replace the whole opener. Felt like this was a bit of bait and switch. Never had problems with the old opener until they did their repairs.

The new door is noisy but we can open and close it, unlike before. The workers were also fine.

Excellent. He even fixed one of our problems by doing the routine maintenance and showed us how to reset garage door codes so we could match new remotes to my Mother's garage door opener. He was very friendly and professional. He discussed with my husband various features of the system we didn't know about (system was installed when we bought the house) and pointed out possible future problems that he felt did not need to be addressed at this time, but probably would need servicing in the coming years (which we will probably call him to do when the time comes). While not part of the original Angie's List service agreement he replaced worn rollers on the tracks at Angie's List prices. I would highly recommend him to anyone and will be watching for his next offer to have work done on my Mother's system.

The service went great. It went perfect. A couple of months later the springs popped, and they came out again, and I had to replace the springs. I would recommend them. They were prompt in coming, and fixed the problem, they found out what the problem was, and fixed it.

It turned out perfectly. The door operates smoothly and quietly now. They did a good job and came on time. They are professional. They cleaned up and left.

The price was high but the work was fine.

He took about 5 minutes to do the check. I had probs with the door the next day and someone came out at no charge, which was great! However, the intermittent prob did not show up when he was here. It's an old system so I can't complain but the prob was not resolved.

Have used them in the past. Great service. Take their time and explain everything. Have had them come out about 3 times for different reasons. Sometimes they come out with three guys. Work was done in 30-45 minutes. Would recommend them to their family and friends!!

The technician was prompt and very knowledgeable of what was required. Provided recommendations on my other door for future service. Was very pleased with results.

An inspection was completed (did not watch it occur) that came with a recommendation for $299 of additional recommended work. Had I known the lubrication to be used was a can of silicone spray, I would have just got out the can of silicone spray I had been treating it with periodically. Lesson learned.

The man was on time for the appointment. He wanted to rebuild my garage door and gave me an estimate for $800. I asked if he would just oil everything and he did. He knew what he was doing and did a good job with the work I paid him for.

He checked and lubricated my garage door, said he didn't see anything else that need to be done. Left me a card for future problems. I was satisfied.

Without the benefit of an instant second opinion and/or a male family member present, I became very skeptical. Seemed like a bait and switch. He was not happy with me. Do not use my name on this evaluation!!!

The job went very well, I called because the garage door was extremely loud so I though a tune up would help, turns out I had a broken spring. The technician was very professional and quick. Good job

They did a standard tune-up of the garage door. Tightened some loose hinges and lubricated the tracks. They also gave me an estimate on some problems that my old garage door had. I decided to buy a new garage door from them since it was just a few hundred dollars more. They were able to put a new garage door on that weekend. I am pleased with the new garage door. However, I will need to do some touch-up caulking, painting, and nailing with the new trim (where the door meets the frame).

Purchased a promotion being offered online. The company emailed me right away and asked when service would be convenient. Told them what worked for me and they got right back to me with a date. Much more responsive than what I have seen from other providers I have purchased deals from. Highly recommended!

Very well. The provider provided excellent service at a fair price.

THIS IS AN UPDATE POSTING 2/19 Following this update is the initial review. The manager of the company contacted Monday morning. He had read the review, listened to my calls and wanted to here directly from me. I relayed the story below and he was very responsive. The key problem was that the tech that was sent out was a good installer, but not familiar with the MyQ system and there was at a disadvantage. He confirmed it was his decision on Saturday to comp the internet gateway component and waive labor. I respect a company that offers monetary compensation instead of just we're sorry or we have an excuse. Further he seemly genuinely interested in the details so that he could further improve service and the performance of the company?again, admirable. But beyond that he also offered that once repeater from Chamberlain showed up he would not only install that, but program my cars for the new opener. All this moved up the scores considerably as I've reflected above ORIGINAL POST 2/15 In the initial call they were extremely professional and seemed to know exactly what i needed. They scheduled it quickly and indicated, "?don't worry, we don't leave until everything is working" They showed up right on time. I explained to the tech what the call was for, he took a quick look at the garage door opener and pointed out some metal shavings coming from the gear and suggested rather than invest money in a logic board and new gear, they should just install a new garage door opener. I was skeptical and inspected myself. I really didn't see much wear, but the opener was 10 years old so I thought it might be worth it ? I would have to replace in the next few years probably. The tech indicated the the MyQ features were already built in to the new Chamberlain unit. I still had the packaging from the add on MyQ so I took that back to Home Depot to return. By the time I got back the opener was installed and worked. I said, now can we program the MyQ feature. He said he has never done that and here are the direction. I questioned this since that was the main purpose of his visit in the first place. I told him I needed to contact the office?the office (again very professional) said they would immediately contact a manager and get right back to me. I went back to talk to the tech and he came to me with an internet gateway device and said, here you need this. I'm just going to give it to you for the trouble. I said can you install and program?he said no, he needed to get going, I was getting a great deal and here are the instructions. OK?I installed and programmed the internet gateway device and programmed and all seemed well. Then I tried to re-program my cars for the new opener. I tried many times and they would not program?then I tried to just close the garage door with the wall switch and it would not go down and the lights blinked. Trouble shooting indicated there was a problem with the safety sensors (crossed or cut wires). I had to call the company again (no manager had ever called back). I explained the problem and the tech came back right away and found the sensor he installed was loose and tightened and it worked. Back to programming the cars?called home link (also owned by Chamberlain; same as the garage door opener and the MyQ device. They said, I need a "repeater" with this new model (regardless of the make, model or year of the car). He apologized which was nice and said he didn't know why didn't just include it?then agreed to send it to me for just shipping charges. In the end I was extremely unhappy with Precision Door ? they did not know their product, did not train their techs, and were clearly there to sell me a new garage door opener, not solve my problem. ? and no, no manager ever called me.

On time, did everything they said they would and worth the price.

My experience went very well. I have used them a couple time since the deal purchase. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. I would recommend this company to others.

Young man arrived on time and promptly commenced the work. We talked about the problem I had been having with the door and was concerned that it all will have to be replaced. He was able to tell me that with the unit being 15yrs old that the power unit was at its max and was lifting a heavy door. The springs were bent some how and causing the door to be heavier than normal. He replaced the rollers on the side tracks and service unit the best he could to have it last a few more weeks or maybe months. We talked about a replacement and the options. Minimum being $600.00 and up to $900.00, was not something I was able to purchase at this time but made a suggestion of doing the springs first since they were the major problem and later doing the overhead unit in the near future. This is something I could do and working into this months budget. That was a offer that was very appreicated and not too many companies would be so kind to offer a option. I will be calling them back for the work for the reason that the serviceman was very knowledgeable and did such a nice job on the service that I have not had any issue with the door since he was at our home.

There were two guys and it went really quickly and smoothly. Very professional and with integrity.

He came on time. He did a very good and thorough job.
