Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal for a garage door tune up in November, but they didn't contact me until January. By then, my neighbor and I had already fixed it.

Description of Work: Technician did a very good job. He changed all the bearings on the spring rod and lubed all the joints. Think the $44.00 for the deal should have been applied to the repairs though. I think that if I had called them outright they would have had a minimum service call fee that would have been applied to the repair services if needed.

Description of Work: Did not show up when promised. I called Gigi and said they had the wrong phone number. She call tech and said he would be there soon. Just had put $330,000 into remodel. The New Garage door from home depo he said they do not warrranty. He kept trying to upsell me on New Roller, Garage Door Opener and Springs. The one I got from Home Depo Chamberlin would not provide and distance with remotes and had allready put in new board. I gave him the go ahead to put in Rollers, Springs and new opener. The Garage has epoxy floors, smooth wall and is Man Cave. I said no holes and everything had to be run clean. He said no problem. Had the garage door opener just about down and he said he would have to staple new wires to ceiling. I said unacceptable. I told him to put it back together and said he could put in the rollers for $125. When he got done he charged me $200. I said I was not happy but paid it. He left 2 rollers. One in my driveway and one on the street. Bad experience. If he had not have told me that they could do the job without damage to the new sheetrock and paint I would not have had them do any work.

Description of Work: We had purchased a discounted garage door tuneup but had inadvertently damaged the garage door mechanism when a shelf support became caught in the door cable and detached the cable from the pulley. So, we had a repair in addition to getting the tuneup. It was all completed in a very timely and proffesional manner and now we have a ten year warantee on our replaced parts which included new springs. This is a go to company!

Description of Work: The tech very kindly explained that he couldn't help -- my garage door is an "old" one without rollers. He did, however, spray lubricant on the working parts, replaced a loose opener on the wall, and told me to apply for a refund, which I did. The full price was credited to my VISA almost immediately.

Description of Work: We were having trouble with our garage door so bout a tune up and roller replacement. The person who came out was very nice. when I explained to him what the trouble was, he said it was due to an old garage door opener and the only way to fix it would be to get a new one - which he could install right then if I wanted to pay several hundred dollars. He explained what he thought the problem was and said that the rollers on the garage door were new enough and didn't need to be replaced. He thought doing the tune up would cause more damage than good, so did nothing. Turned out he was wrong about the garage door opener, also. We were able to get it fixed.

Description of Work: We have been dissapointed in the functionality of the new garage door as it does not open properly when the button is pushed. We have had to use another device to open it. Sometimes it works but far too often it does not work!! I guess i should call them to see if they can rectify the issue. Joanne Cole

Description of Work: The technician arrived at the scheduled time and began a comprehensive inspection of our garage doors. He made any necessary adjustments and "lubed" the tracks. He checked, several times, that the garage doors were working correctly. He also indicated the "rollers" needed to be replaced within the next year or so as the rollers supplied by the garage door manufacturer were not the top of the line (which we thought we had paid for at installation). So we will have to schedule the replacement. We will use Precision Garage Door Service!

Description of Work: I bought a $40 garage door inspection/service Angie's list special. Wound up with a new garage door/opener - to replace the 21 year old original. Was it worth it? I believe so. Old door opener barely worked, door runners and bearings worn to bare metal. Old door and all bits & pieces removed. Service very prompt, and thorough from initial contact to completed job. Old, pet dog upset, because he can no longer hear me returning home from work.
