I purchased a Big Deal Offer from Angie's List for garage door service. The offer I purchased was for a garage door tune up with roller replacement. I had a very positive experience. The technician was very nice and explained things super and so that I could understand them. He would show me the parts, what they did, and how to maintain them. He was on time, worked quickly and had a very nice demeanor.

Technician arrived - examined the door - asked some questions about visible damage to the garage door - asked the age of garage door - maintenance history - then made some minor adjustments, oiled the squeaky hinges for me - discussed possible maintenance needs for the future.

The price was exceedingly high and I felt like the guy was trying to rip me off. He had a bad attitude and was extremely unprofessional. His responsiveness and punctuality was average. I will never use their service in the future.

Very impressed at just how quickly they were able to get a technician out to check out my garage door. They offered to do it the same day I called, but I had to schedule it for the next day. The technician called ahead, did exactly what we agreed to, and he made some recommendations since I wanted to eliminate some potential problems in the future--but I didn't get a hard sell.

Everything went as expected. The arrived early and were very pleasant to deal with. At some point I willl have them back.

They showed up very promptly, did a good job, and left a full estimate for a complete overhaul if I decide to go for the whole enchilada.

The $39.99 was just for the service call for minor repairs. He started to tell me about the work that needed to be done and I was aware that he finished the Big Deal service call. So I agreed to the extra service. So I don't know if the Big Deal service was necessary since he completed other work that needed to be done.

I'll start by saying that if you are a service provider who is registered with Angie's list, make sure that your technicians know what Angie's list is and understand that if they do a poor job your company will immediately get a negative review on Angie's list! That seems like a no-brainer to me. Nonetheless the garage door technician who recently worked on our garage door expressed ignorance of Angie's list even though he was out there by virtue of his companies involvement with Angie's list. So I have two big disappointments with this company. The first is that my garage door is noisier after they worked on it than it was before they worked on it. My second disappointment is that the technician wasted nearly an hour of my time trying to sell me things, when he could have been done in 15 min. and just thanked me for the business. Instead, he was somewhat cold, a poor communicator, and he wasted 45 min. trying to sell me a new garage door spring, new rollers, new bearings, and then finally recommending that I have a complete garage door rebuild for $515 (regularly $700 of course). And he wanted to do the work immediately. Update on 3/28/2012. I was contacted by a service manager who was very polite and apologetic. He is scheduled to come out and take a look at the door and to make things right. I was pleased by his response in the fact that he did not try to blame me.

Service personal were very professional and showed up when promised. I would use them again.

They were good. Their prices were fairly in line with others. They were responsive. I would take a quote from them in the future if necessary.

The repair man stated that the repair cost would be $1,000 to repair a broken spring stating that the opener and system all needed to be replaced. Called Wayne Dalton and received the name of recommended repair service and had door repaired for $225. Company is a ripoff. I highly suggest consumers check this company out on Dateline.

Garage door spring broke in the morning. Looked on Angie's List and found Precision. Called and set up same day service. Work was done fast, friendly, and professional. Cost was same as quoted, no surprises.

I've rented the home while living on the east coast. The renter called and told me about how the door had stopped while raising and needed repair. I called PRECISION DOOR SERVICE and arranged for a repairman to meet the renter the next morning. I received a call to approve the work after inspection, Idid an provided my credit card number. Checked with the renter while in town a few weeks later and it was working perfectly. Saved using Angie's list and received a repair that was needed.

The price was unreasonable. There were some hidden costs that I wasn't happy about. The work has held up. I wouldn't use them again.

I came home on the evening of the 17th to find my garage door was not opening without some "help". When I closed the door again, one of the torsion springs snapped. I consulted Angie's list and found that Precision Door Service does 24/7 emergency service. While I did not need the door repaired immediately, I decided that I wanted it done as soon as I could as we have other issues to take care of this weekend. I was able to call Precision Door late in the evening and talk to a live operator. She assisted me in scheduling an appointment for the next day at my convenience. The technician came promptly within the specified time period. He was very professional and courteous. He even tolerated my two young daughters in their interest of the proceedings. I found him to be very friendly and professional. I decided to take the recommendation of the door overhaul as I was not sure of the condition of all of the parts and I know the house was built over 15 years ago. I am the third owner of this home and have not had the garage door itself serviced since I have owned the home. I found the price to be a bit more than I would have liked, but the lifetime warranty on the parts and service gives me piece of mind. The technician further recommended a silicone spray lube for the springs and all of the rollers and joints every six months to keep the door running quietly. The door now runs VERY smooth and quietly. Overall, I would highly recommend this company if you are seeking prompt, quality service on your garage door.

Very professional, very prompt and on time. Believe the pricing was a bit high based on past experiences in other area with garage door repair.

They were very good. The guy who came was very good. He was not very pushy, but very helpful. They were very responsive and prompt. They were on time. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Their price was reasonable.

On Saturday, the overhead door springs broke. i could not lift the door myself. My cars were essentially locked in the garage and I was unable to use them. I called Precision door service and the repair man was there in an hour. I was overjoyed that he was able to fix the door on a Saturday afternoon and early evening. He was clean and professional. He explained that both springs needed replacement. That they were at least 10 years old. He showed how bad the cables were. He explained why I needed a larger cable holder, since I have an extra large, heavy door. (He could not lift it.) He explained that the door opener was about 5 years old and was in good operating condition. He replaced all items, lubricated the bearings. and left the door in excellent condition. The door opens almost silently. He removed all items and left the area clean.

The wires of the garage door in our new house were broken and the rollers were off. The door itself was bent, and it needed fixing. They got here early and on time. We needed them early because our roofers were arriving and we needed to get the garage open. They got the job done quickly. They had all the parts they needed with them. They explained pretty well what was going on, what they were going to fix, and why.

We got exactly what we wanted! He was relatively fast and very polite.

One spring on the garage door was broken. I understand that both springs usually need to be replaced at the same time. They do use "oil tempered" higher quality springs and have a 10 year warranty and "aircraft quality" cables, I lost sight of the fact that its a simple aluminum garage door not a precision aircraft aluminum flying instrument. I just needed my door to open. I said I didn't want new cables but the tech said he had to replace them for safety reasons. I looked a the cables when taken off and they seemed to not be frayed or broken to me. They were very quick to come out and will say the tech was professional and did good work. However if anyone else were have able to come out over the weekend I would have likely got a competitive bid in retrospect. I would say this is a good company that does premium work and charges premium rates. Summary is that everything was good, except the price seemed a little high to me.

Had to call them back to make some minor adjustments but they were all to willing to make sure I was satisfied. Price was good with coupons. They use the slightly thicker 24 gauge door instead of the 25 as base model, so that's good.

Dave came out on Wednesday 4/14 and and showed me my choices for doors and opener. I picked a standard door with windows and a Lift Master opener. He said the tech would put vinyl trim with seals around the opening to help keep dirt out. He also said that he would throw in upgraded 13 bearing rollers with the order. The tech showed up on time on Friday 4/16 with a work order that only said to install the door. He tried to offer me an upgrade on the bearings. I explained that they were included. He didn't have the lift assembly and he had it delivered. No vinyl seals either. A definite failure to properly communicate the sale to the work order. It's a shame because the tech new what he was doing, but was not given the proper information. If anyone from Precision reads this, can I please have my seals?

They diagnosed the problem correctly. The motor was broken and they replaced everything in an effective as well as in an efficient way. My overall experience with them was excellent.

They did a great job. They showed up when they were supposed to and did the work quickly.
